hehe, i understand that your name sounds funny this way , but in our language we change all the names... and females get a +ova to the end of their surname, so be glad you're a man
please NO turbo in the LX8, it would possibly make it almost undriveable! I agree that a race version would be nice. But not make it out of the LX6 but add it.. the LX6 is a blast on KY nat versus the FZ50 and RAC! You get overtaken on the oval part, but take it back on the inside part of the track.
So leave the LX6 as it is now and add a LX6-R with slicks...
imo nothing to be proud of... they just run one lap of each combo just to have 1st and 2nd place... the handicap tells that their times are pretty bad...
IRL its done based on the last completed lap, so>
If a car is on the first positon and does not finish the last lap, but has lapped someone during the race, then he is in front of these cars on the final positions list... (he did 25 laps but on the final (26th lap) he crashed, the ones who were lapped did 25 laps only and saw the chequered flag, so the leader did those 25 laps faster then the lapped racers did)
This does not happen in LFS. I run the 1st Czech LFS League and I have to go through the replays and manually check these situations... (it happened several times already)...
and btw. how long did you play other games? I paid 24 pounds for S2 and I'm enjoying this great game about 2,5 years now and I'm sure more years will come
Other games cost more and the time spent with them does not come anywhere near the time with LFS (usually a month compared to over 2 years). I speak of these 24 pounds as the best spent money on entertainment in my life....
Well I guess the "problem" now is, that there are not many reviews in magazines, web, tv, because S2 is still alpha... I think (hope) we will see more reviews and thus more players when S2 full comes...
And on topic: banning other devices is not the way to go, imo all other control methods are harder than the wheel so there is no point banning them...
I totally agree with what Vain and thisnameistaken said...
I would say that driving in the pack towards T1 is the hardest thing to learn in LFS. You have to be aware if there is space infront and behind you as well on the sides. We have met yesterday on Aston club with UFR/XFR and I saw you had problems with driving in the pack after the start. With the slow starts > with fwd just floor it just before the green comes a the start will be fine (a little "bug" in lfs)... Then when coming to T1 ease of a bit from the gas and brake earlier (starting with a tap on the brake, so the guy behind you know you are about to brake (because of inevitable lag in multiplayer, he sees your brake lights light up, when you are already under full braking for a small moment, so there is no way he could react in time), if you see that you started braking too early, let the brake go for just a moment. And avoid any quick left/right manouvers, because you are very likely going to hit someone...
I think you'll get it right soon. Don't get driven away by some nervous people who try to ban you... It also helps to annonunce that you are new to LFS and people will excuse a lot of your actions, because they will know it was not intentional...
i don't have any other online experience than LFS, but imho it's a problem in any online game... people learn a few tracks/maps and play those and don't bother to learn any other... the only solution is to join a league...
one little hint on studying WR's always watch from the same view you use while driving! One guy asked me how could he learn something from watching WR's and after I talked to him a bit, it came out he was watching them from the TV camera
good idea to have the option not to add fuel...
and the same with the tyres ... happened to me once that they only changed the rear left tyre in the pits...
