FREE TO A GOOD HOME!!!!!!!!, all you need to pay is P&P or Collect if you wish.

I am in Norfolk/Suffolk United Kingdom

A Logitech Momo Wheel ( Black One) in fully working order with 2 sets of WORKING pedals. Excellent condition, had it from brand new so one careful owner. It has a few miles on the clock :wtf2:, ok a few ,000 miles on the clock but will be excellent addition for somebody that is currently using a Mouse / Keyboard.

I am only getting rid of / trying to sell, as I have been very fortunate to purchase a G27 from Logi as they offered me a very tidy discount code valid for 30 days, so how could I not use it

PM me if interested

Cheers

Quote from Scawen : so there is no such thing as a FF wheel that works on operating systems other than Windows. Hopefully you can easily build drivers that allow FF on Linux but are they illegal?

Trying not to shout and swear... I hate patents.

Don't know about the legality, but the G27 definitely works with force feedback under Linux. What's the patent?

Maybe its my setup or my rig setup but the v8 is just a nightmare to keep on the track im always fighting to stop it spinning and can never think about putting in a decent lap..

I have the wheel (g27) at 670degrees effects at 101% and the other 2 at 0% return to centre is also at 0%

Ingame its 67o, non linear, strength at 15% dampening and the other both at 0%

The car just feels all over the place and when turning at below 50mph its like ive driven off tarmac and onto ice.. Probably the physics.

Whenever i feel a slide coming as soon as i try correct it, it just throws me off the other way (as if i have 1000000% sensitivity)

Any ideas?

The other cars are ok, the mx5 is fine on the new tyre patch.

Hi All,

I have for sale a Momo Force Racing Wheel, plus 2 sets of pedals. 1 Set has had the Mod done to it, to stop the spiking, the other set are only just used, but was brand new from Logitech. All in fantastic working order, looked after and treated with respect LOL.

I will be honest, I have 2 sets of pedals, because I contacted Logitech, years ago, and complained about the spiking on these pedals. They kindly sent me a new set, without wanting the old set back, so I made the modification to the old set, and the old set have lasted way past 6 yrs. New set have been used, only to test the difference.

Why am I selling, well I have a brand new G27 Set on it's way and my current wheel and pedals are working perfectly, so no reason for them to collect dust, somewhere, someone here might as well put them to good use????

This is a true sale, and if you interested, you can PM me for my mobile number to discuss if you wish.

I was looking for £50 +postage for the lot.

Regards

Fordie

well that weird with those two extra wires. Regarding the pedals, they really are designed to be taken apart, all the pedals are more or less seperate units.

(simply screwed onto some wood here)

If you take them apart you can see which cable ends at which pedals, they are color coded.

Can anyone confirm the G27 pedals being identical to the G27 ones? I got G25 ones

this might help, should be the same on the G27. You didn't write if you connect the pedals to the G27 or something else.

if the normal cable is too damaged you could try soldering a new D-Sub plug, or ask someone with experience to do it for you.

Some Questions , since i become Lazy to setup my G27 all the Time when i wanna do some racing, i wanna use my xbox360 controller for some quick fun.

My Problem is , i don't really know how to set it up and all the links from google are so out of date (2006 / 2008) or don't work anyway.

My Main Problem right now is , that i wanna add some Deadzone to the Left Stick (Steering) because it's to sensitiv , the Windows Drivers don't allow this , xbdc doesn't work on Windows Vista (he don't see the Controller connectet)

any solutions?

Are you looking just for a pin layout of the 9-pin connector? There are schemes for that all over the web including the color codes. Just type "g27 pedal wiring" into Google and look through the results.

Ok, after having 2 laps around the mountain in a BMW Z4 GT3, this is what i can tell you, the track is much more narrow then any other interpretation of Bathurst i have ever seen and gives the actual impression you are driving on a country road.

The track is a real drivers track and is very easy to make mistakes, think of it like Spa and Monaco combined into one, this is the most detailed track i think PD have made so far as there is very notable surface changes in the track.

Also if you think Overtakes are going to be easy you will be gladly mistaken, even on conrod the narrowness is like the nordshliefe, you have to trust the driver your overtaking will stay to their side if you plan to make a move there.
Needed more force feedback to judge the car though(the G27 that was there had the lowest feedback setting and they wouldn't let me change it, I did however manage to get all the aids off before they saw me fiddling with it), but when i was able to read it, the BMW felt very composed I can feel its quite balanced.

This Model of Bathurst is very much to a simulator standard I will tell you that now, those that want a challenging track will like this.

Could someone measure and tell me what's clearance distance? (that is, how thick can a table be for the wheel to attach to) ?

Thanks for everyone's input by the way

thisnameistaken, what do you think about your wheel besides the clutch issue? Do you agree with all the faults that MattsterGT pointed out?

It wouldn't be good if the distance on g27 was also 50mm as I wouldn't cut the table, nor the wheel.

The Fanatec wheels and Logitech G27 have mount locations where you can thread a bolt through and secure it to a face that has holes in it.

Fanatec includes a template with their products. I had both a G27 and a Fanatec GT3RS with CSR Elite Pedals and both are great wheels. I do prefer the fanatec because for the same price you get a much better and bigger pedal set (g27 pedals are not very wide and my foot usually covered gas and brake at same time).

Also Fanatec FFB feels a bit smoother for me.

I also had a MOMO before the G27.

Momo - 5/10
G27 - 7.5/10
Fanatec GT3RS + Elite Pedals - 8.5/10

Only downside to the fanatec is that the wheel's motors stay on when you turn your pc off at night and for me, I always forget.

It's good to hear you're considering purchasing a wheel, I did think similar.

I'm assuming those measurements are in CM?

The base itself should fit relatively comfortably, but I'm unsure as to where your pedal positions there are, but I'm sure you can work something comfortable out. The G27 and G25 bases are the exact same, it is only the interior workings and wheel face that really change on them, the DFGT is slightly wider to allow for the sequential shifter.

With regards to your questions
People very often have to use the clutch, as the h-shifter will not function properly (without matching revs manually, or screwing a clutch) so a clutch, if you are planning to get a h-shifter is essential.

Sports cars often go further than 90'-180', mainly as these are fractions of 900'-1080' steering wheel rotations used in real steering racks (you often find the cheaper wheels cause understeer due to fast turning, the 900' wheels are often your best bet, but the rotation can be changed in the Logitech profiler.

The Driving Force GT was a wheel I looked into when I was looking for my first semi-serious wheel, however the thing that you notice when you're driving with it (as my local gaming shop had one setup on occasion) is that the rubber on the wheel wares away and gets very sweaty. The leather on the G25 is good, but the leather on the G27 is the best I've seen, and that includes some high-end fanatec alcantara leather wheels such as the GT3 RS v2 which I currently use. The DFGT also lacks decent pedals (as the springs are not different, and are very weak-causing an unrealistic feel) The gearing is noisy as it is essentially (iirc) a cheaper G25 with a wheel made for GT5; I personally would discourage you from purchasing a DFGT, never mind a used one. The alternative wheels for that price (such as the low end Fanatecs) are also pretty poor in quality.

However, most used wheels are relatively okay most of the time, however the budget of £100 will not exactly cut it. I would suggest in the region of £150 (excl. shipping) for a G27 and to keep set on a G27, regardless of what pops up. As they are widely used they are widely supported-so fixes are usually widely known by various communities.

The thing I would say about purchasing a used wheel is that you must ask for video evidence that it works, preferably with a date attached; so you don't end up being scammed. Ask every little detail, from clicks to clanks in the turning, or power supply glitches.

As for other simulators: rFactor is a good place to start, but many move into games such as iRacing and various Simbin games (such as GTR2 with mods)

In short, look for a G27 around £150 (save that extra money, you WILL NOT regret it) -One thing I would also recommend you look out for in the used G27s is something known as pedal spiking.

This is due to dust and loose cabling it pedals-it can be a pain in the behind to fix, but is relatively simple if you follow various instruction guides such as chillicoke's 'inverted pedal mounting' (only don't invert the pedals, just use the guide to open the case)

Good luck in purchasing your new wheel, and please take care to read everything I have said.

I've tried to reconfigure the rpm for FO8; but the leds lights (especially the red) lights too soon (at 8500rpm) instead at 9500.

My additional configure line for g27leds.cfg looks like:
rpm fo8 5800 9500

But I don't know, if the app use it (will be a useful Information in debug mode).

What I'm doing wrong?

Also a simple "connect" button will be nice. If I reconfigure G27 LEDs, LFS is still running. I don't wont restart LFS, because it's not neccessary. Perhaps this could be simple implemented, too?

new or used wheel?

g25 and g27 should be possible for that money if they don´t have to be new. just beware of faulty shifters when buying g25! if there is still warranty on the wheel logitech most likely will replace it. my shifter developed the sixt gear / reverse problem near the end of the warranty and logitech even replaced the whole wheel with a brand new one which had no error ever since.

Well, we all have our own tastes and experiences, and this topic (about LFS) is quite tiring.

Race07: Yes, i think from that list is the one with the lower score.

The only Sim i want to play right now is Assetto Corsa. the Tech Preview feels soo good that i find myself coming back everyday, and now i race against my dad (some weeks ago i presented him the G27, and he is also a car addict)
Cue long nights beating each other's records.

Also, NetKar Pro. i couldn't get into it too much, but some people consider it good.
It's also made by the same people making Assetto Corsa (Kunos Simulazioni).

PS: You know you're trying too hard in simulators when you pick an arcade game with G27 and actually have fun with it xD.

Good luck with the tiny g27 pedals and having to fix them in a week though. Wheel for the most part is good except for you can feel the gears when you turn, but yeah.

You should've bought my G27 that was NIB i listed a month or 2 ago. I ended up shipping it foreign and the guy only paid 192 euro with shipping included.
