And even if the warranty actually expired it is worth a try contacting the Logitech support.
My G25 broke after 4 years and the support gave me a 50% voucher for buying a G27.
But since I was able to fix it, my now 7 years old G25 seems to have a similar problem. After ~1 hour of racing the center moves about 45° to either left or right. My stock encoder looks fine. I am also looking for some loose part, but have not found anything yet.
Well..wow. I finally bought a brass encoder. Changed it too. And of course I read for many it solved the problem.
I still am searching how to return my G27 to perfect precision state.
When making a car save correction, depending on speed of movement it shifts center Again like before.
The plastic encoder was cracked. Now I've got the brass one. Still there's a limitation in quickness of movement that wheel can handle. And it looks like when I'm reaching for that extra 10-20%, I might be demanding too much from some other part inside the hub.
Which part is this now? Is my infra red laser too slow?
Or is it that ffb slider limitation involved?
Did anyone experience anything like this? Has anyone found what other loose part could be involved?
changed from a momo racing (240 degrees) to a g27 (900...) yesterday and well, now i just drive even worse than before. cant catch any slide or drift a little even with the easiest cars. i just hope its some setting or something as i didnt have a problem like that with the momo. or does it just take some time to adjust to the rotation? perhaps some of you still remember when you changed some years ago or whenever. settings you use could be useful as well.
good set allowing aggressive driving. steps out a bit coming off the apex but easy to catch with linear response. has that nice decreasing radius characteristic under trail braking.
i'm trying to make an all-around set so of course it isn't wr material, just plain fun to drive.
ps no locked diff
did 27 laps of so chicane with no heat issues at maximum attack. have fun
Not sure Bose, but for the G27 lights, you will have to "look down" hence taking your eyes off the road, ok for a split second, but for a nice to have, its more like a "bling" effect to see your LEDS light up.
Not taking it away from you Bose, I appreciate your hard work, but for me, and me personally, this is not a "must have" but a nice to have.
Mine works with RF and GT Legends..Do I look at them no, do I wait for the red light to come on to shift gear, no, its people watching me that notice it more, and they say, WOW your steering wheel lights up.
Then I let them have a go....and I ask, did you watch the lights on the steering wheel, they say no, how would I watch the road
No problems with g27 feedback either, drifting in AC is easy as in LFS
I use same ffb settings for drifting/racing
sucks that I don't know how to do picture in picture video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v ... UJaQ&feature=youtu.be
My question is how to turn ON those lights in LFS, but without some programs. There was a video how to turn the lights but it's for older version, and dont work on this.
Hey guys I just wanted to share with you my new gaming web series, of online racing on the simulator LFS with the G27, if you guys want to join me in a race message me and well do some crazy gaming together (no homo) hehe !!!
Hope you guys enjoy it as much as i do making this videos
You should need some help by perceiving what i'm trying to say in the right way..
Anyway AC is great.. best ever..
@ Ingolf:
Yes, it might have much potential. Recently I've driven the first version of LFs again.. they have made some enormous steps.
For me with AC it was the lack of how the car behaved from having grip that transforms to understeer and especially when elevation was involved. It felt like it didn't took much notice of the elevation changes except when there were steaper drops. It felt like the understeer was calculated in instead of occuring more naturally. I used a G27 btw.
Yes 2008 for what i saw was one of the last glory days , but if lfs dont evolve , time to move on , its like with money to spend having a logitech shitty wheel and not buying a g27 or that because only the other shitty wheel is the best (not saying lfs is shit) , people are in rfactor why ? beacause there is nothing similar not cause is the best , people that still in lfs are the ones with shitty pcs or dont like rfactor or dont have the money to iracing
So, I have an issue. My GT3RS v2 has been a relatively reliable wheel for the last 6 months after I bought it from eBay.
Unfortunately, it has decided that it doesn't want to work.
It decided to become very lump around 3 weeks before it finally died-up until that point it had hinted at being lumpy, but never really been especially noticeable.
By lumpy-I mean: instead of it being a smooth turn, it jumps around 3-5'.
It's also been making some squealing sounds.
The wheel still has resistance-So I'm assuming the belt has not snapped. The motor just isn't moving.

So I recently did a reinstall of Windows 7, and today I reinstalled LFS. (I've also installed the Logitech Profiler)
When I went in the game, I set up all the settings required to supposedly make the H-pattern shifting work (Gear shift set to shifter, automatic clutch off etc.) but I can't make the H-pattern work. I checked if the gears were set correctly, and they were, by default. When I switched the gears in the menu, the game detects it, but when you go driving, shifting has no affect at all (yes, I pressed the clutch and also checked that it's working).
I also checked some other threads regarding G27 but none of them helped. Has anyone had the same issue, perhaps?
Yesterday I was playing rFactor 2 and the shifter worked fine.
i have a g27 and up until this point it has been fine but now when i go into lfs it changes to a 270degree turning angle which is almost impossible to use and i have checker and double checked both logitech profiler and the lfs settings, and have restarted my pc and unplugged wheel and plugged back in still getting the same problem.
If you're only getting a wage of enough to buy a G27, then you need a new job. There's a CSW coming out of my next wage, that's going to hurt, a G27 is bugger all.
LFS verze 0.6E.
Předem díky za pomoc

For english speaking members: I have problem with LEDs not working. I install the app exactly how it was written in Readme.txt. Launch LFS via G27LEDApp.exe but LEDs are just blinking and blinking. They don't react to gas pedal, they're just blinking.

I was an offline demo player for several years. I took a about a year break then started playing online demo. finally decided to purchase S2 and have spent most of my time on cruise servers since I do not own a decent wheel yet. Plan on getting either a G25 or G27 in the next month or two.
i just fixed mine last night that my dog chewed through. the actual pin assignment for the db9 plug is the 1,6,9 pin wire are the red wire. 2 pin wire is green clutch pedal. 3pin wire is white brake pedal. 4 pin wire is orange gas pedal. 5 pin wire is black. this will work my g27 works fine all pedals and buttons and controls work fine. everything else i read on the internet did not work at all.
Got a G27 for christmas. Downloaded that RSR lap time thingy. Thought I would see how I am doing. Disappointed to see I am 4 seconds off the pace!
599xx at silverstone first time driving this car/track combo and I only did a couple of laps but there is no way I could find 4 seconds. I think at best I could get into the low 59s.
