My dad just told me he wont be buying me a G25 because i have a Force Dynamics 401CR at his house. Its a moving simulator with a weird momo wheel. With a H Shifter and shizzle.
But i like G27
Im getting my own money now for the G27 and ill be getting it. So prepare the voucher. LOL.

Quote from Propaganjor :As I suspected. If I'm to buy a new wheel it must be good. Can you recommend me any?

- Logitech DFGT if you want to pay the minimum and still having a proper wheel (drivers, support and build quality).
- Logitech G25 if you want a cheap used wheel (with its risks)
- Logitech G27 and cheap Fanatec wheels if you want a new one with good quality.
- Fanatec high end products and Thrustmasters T500RS if you are willing to pay a lot of money.

Indeed, G27 makes less noise when turning and shifter seems to be a bit more robust / less noisy to me. I also like that it has got more buttons on the wheel than G25.

Havent drifted with XRG much , so i dont have any good set for that .
But i leave my G27 settings , they work good for me .
Not sure if u can see well ingame picture but i post that too.
And if 720 is hard for start ,u should practise with 540 for start and then 720/900

Hello, good morning.
First sorry for the mistakes in English, because I am Brazilian.

Arrived yesterday my G27 and had difficulty setting up the G27.

Would you like help setting up my G27 in LFS to Drift.

And if can send a good setup for drift, would be grateful too.

Thanks and sorry again.

Quote from Ikskast :Hello,
As ive told you many times, im just 13 ( almost 14 ) years old, and my parents dont want to buy me a License.
Im all into Cars and Racing. Mostly drifting, but my mom doesnt respect that at all. She says no to all what contains racing or driving. That really pisses me off. Im buying a G25 this week with my money, and im looking forward to a Voucher. So if there is any possibility that you could send me one, i would be happy ..- REALLY happy. I would run around the house and scream. Lol.
Oh and i play alot singleplayer because i dont like the rammers in online. They are just sad. I would have lots of miles on me.

Oh, and my sad stats. I played ALOT when i was younger, but i forgot my other account. Kinda regret that, haha. It had about 10,000 miles or something.
Total stats:
Travelled distance:887 Ml
Fuel burnt:377 Ltr
Laps: 98
Hosts joined:125
Races won: 0
Finished:5

Thanks,
Ikskast.

If you can prove to me you have a G27 or better I will give you an S2.

Fanaleds is expanding!

As you might have heard, we are working on something big. We are happy with the results so far and think it's time to reveal our work. To serve the biggest possible amount of people in the sim racing community we are working on support for other hardware. Thanks to Leo Bodnar we got the chance to do so. While we were working on this we also decided to support the Logitech G27 to make use of the leds in that wheel.

Because words do no justice, we have made a little video to show you what we are talking about. We hope you are just as excited as we are and can't wait to hear what the community thinks! Check it out now:

In short, yes, go for the G27, its a great wheel and you wont regret it. I've had my G25 for 3 years now and it's still running perfect. The G27 is an improved version of the g25, and i've put in a good 12 hours in total with it because my friend has one, and I love it.

I'm in the same timezone as you, and there are plenty of drivers on from early in the morning until around five or 6 at night. This is because the majority of players live in europe, and their nights start a couple of hours before ours do.

Hi,
Welcome to LFS

The best experience comes from racing with a wheel and this forum contains multiple threads with the discussion about them. If you can afford it go with the G27, but it makes a racket...

For your timezone there is not that many activity, look at this thread.http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=79140(you can also check stats at lfsworld.net)

There are still all kind of players of all levels on S2, including Noobs and crashers.
This is less though, and you will get some serious racing out of S2 if you put some effort into it.
Although racing in demo can be pretty serious too, but this features only 2 tracks and 3 cars...

I don't regret my purchase as I think little do.
Read around on this forum a bit and get a wheel (you can do more than play LFS with it). Then decide?
Grtz and best of luck.
I want to get started with LFS.

Good day fellow friends!

I have been tinkering around with the LFS demo for a while and it seems quite realistic and enjoyable. Currently, I play with a game controller using analog sticks and triggers. I'm very interested in purchasing a S2 license; the price seems fair.

First question, in terms of control, what do people think of the Logitech G27 product? My local store has a few new ones in stock for a reasonable price. Is it a good racing wheel?

Second, it seems that this game has a long history behind it, and taking a look at the forum, people are eagerly awaiting a delayed release. I am very interested in the online play portion of the game, but I worry that because of the game's maturity, there won't be anyone to play with. For someone like me in a Eastern Time (GMT-5), will there be some activity online? With my little time on the demo servers, I noticed the amount of reckless players is not negligible. Is this still an issue in the S2 servers?

Thanks,
cdahmedeh

Every wheel is reliable from its birth, it's all about you and your behaviour with the wheel, if you are going insane every time you are loosing / you lost a race not even a wheel for 10000€ would be reliable for you.

I have my G25 for 4 years now and I never had any problem with it. However I know one mate of mine who was crazy as **** and he broke already 2 or 3 G25s. Only because of him.

That's about it. If you buy G27 you will get a top notch wheel, same as with Fanatec. I personaly prefer Logitech, never had any problem with it.

I've had my G25 for quite some time now, and still works like a charm. No realizeable damage in the pedals nor on the wheel. The only weak point is the shifter, which I've managed to wreck completely, but I was using it hard and good, and it worked pretty good for how fragile it actually is. If it's like the G25 and you have the money, I'd recommend buying the G27.

G27 works fine

Overpriced in which way, since it's a lot cheaper.

Oh wait, you meant the G27 is overpriced. Yes it is.

It's possible that you've run into a problem with G27 detection which wasn't done at all in 1.02, is somewhat wacky in 1.03 and it's supposed to be fixed in 1.04. I'd however need the extra debugging info to investigate it further.

Quote from Bose321 :Not sure if you're talking about the Fanatec shifters, but they're both 15EUR last time I checked.

The pedals should work if you buy the adapter Fanatec sells.

I'd recommend the Fanatec pedals though, they're the best thing you can buy without spending thousands of Euro's.

I ain't going to buy new pedals before my G27 pedals break!
And IF my pedals break i can't use the ones for the Fanatec anyways. My floor is carpet...

Can someone help me with this? I want to use my G27 in ACR but the pedals are inverted (max is min, min is max) and I can't see where I could change it. Thanks

Hi

I'm having some problems with my G27 and i'm thinking about buying the Fanatec GT3RS V2 wheel.
My question is if i can connect the Fanatec wheel with the Logitech shifter and pedals?
And if i can, will it be easy then?

Logitech wheels have many problems because they have many users. I have no reliable source on how many g27 have been sold but they are surely magnitudes more than any other premium wheel. Therefore a lot more problems, and a lot more complaints in forums etc. Maybe there are more problems with Logitech wheels that other but I doubt it, but the important point with my post is that you need better statistics than frum flames to decide.

(Mine have worked well until I have worn them out, no strange problems like alignment etc)

Not even going to read the shit your pulled out your ass.

You said to go with a G27 to save the trouble?

That tells me you seem to have experience with all kinds of wheel brands while you only used Logitech?

It's funny how you call me a fanboy while I did not name a brand in specific and you're the one all getting mad over your precious G27. Cough*Pot calling the kettle black*cough.

Just buy the goddamn Logitech G27, it'll save you loads of trouble.
I've had Logitech since forever. and only problems started after 3 years of heavy abuse. but by then I'm sure you could have saved up at least a couple of money.

tl;dr :
Just buy a g27. you will be happy.

i have a g25 collecting dust in the corner, frien moved to aus and gave me that, its aright... but maybe im too used to m dfgt but its just not as accurate, or responsive... the pedals are better; slightly, but they need to be modded to improve their performance ( and it would appear that you're spiltting hairs when it comes to actual gains )

g27 is supposed to be quieter and a slightly better package all round..

if i had the money in y pocket OP go for fanatec, otherwise g27
