But no, it doesn't fix the ffb. I have driven this for a while now and I can see some potential, but with the current FFB it's impossible to judge the physics really because I can't feel what the car is doing, at all. Biggest problem is that the car doesn't counter steer (caster effect) thru the FFB at all, so I don't know when it's understeering or oversteering.
Codemasters seem to have acknowledged this problem, they mentioned they are working with this in the latest patch notes, so there is some hope.
There are other problems from a simracers POV too, not enough customizations to camera views and controller settings (I can't configure a H-shifter if it isn't the default G27 shifter).
Sounds are fantastic tho, I'm pretty sure that this is the first time I have actually heard a game to be able to deliver a believable representation of the induction note of a N/A 4-cyl engine.
And not just that, every engine I have yet heard sounds spot on. Even a realistical sounding anti-lag is there.
Yo, still around too, visiting the forums from time to time. Still having my G27, still waiting for some spare time and new content to revive my old gaming pc. :-)
My G27 started going nuts after the first 3 months of use - the FFB didn't want to work at some point (rattling noise, sounded like the FFB teeth were being dragged along against something else), but after torturing it on purpose by using max FFB it fixed itself! Logitech, eh.. :/
Thanks for the replys to earlier questions lfs forums have always been strong... but im looking into purchasing the whole logitech g27 wheel.. now im looking for a SOLID playseat... in life one of my big addictions is food ha... num num num.. .....anyways i im a big guy about 350... im looking for a solid race seat to support me... ive checked out playseat and they range from 250 - 275.. im kinda nervous thats not gonna work.. but these seats aint cheat to buy n just test... if anyone maybe has some solid leads or maybe evem a diy kinda id be greatful if you guys pointed me in the right direction... ps no fat jokes turds lol this aint highschool lets just keep it 100... from one simulator fan to the next. I am starting a Drift Team, nothing too serious, just for fun something with scheduled events.
I am only accepting 25 people not including myself, if you see 25 people respond already don't hesitate to post anyway. If someone withdraws from the team you could be next to join
***If there is a doubled driver number i will message both of you and ask that you both choose another number to avoid any conflict***
*** The first 3 people to join the team will help me create a name ***
If you are interested please post here in this format.

I will be posting Top Drifters on my website the teams new official website and Top skins
Also there will be some pics of epic moments of the team http://mofo223.wix.com/completelysideways
All Top Drifters/Skins will be voted by the team at the end of an event
These guys in the picture are not my team. These are some drifters i encountered while i was playing. I have to say it was an absolute pleasure to be able to drift with them. This Clan has inspired me to create my own team.
I'm glad to announce that Good Drivers team starts championship where winner will win a brand new Logitech G27 steering wheel.
The championship starts on 1st April at 0:00 (no, it won't be an april fools day joke)
Points can be earned through one month, after that points reset and new points standings begin. Driver who wins two championship standings in a row (he wins champ on two months one after the another) wins G27.
Points standings can be seen by typing !ptc or !champ (It's an Airio points system).
Hacks, cheats, bump drafting etc. is strictly prohibited, anyone caught on such will be banned from the championship.
Championship takes place on GD Win a Logitech G27 server.

So, hello everyone! I'm kind of new to LFS (played demo for a while and then got S2 license) and I've been learning how to drift on a Logitech G27. I'm still new to the game and the wheel, so wish me some luck!
Selling Logitech G27, not going to ship it. If there are any Latvian players out there who are interested in purchasing one, hit me up. Have had this wheel for the past two years, warranty is over. There are no issues with the wheel itself, everything works as it's supposed to. Asking 160 EURO
Try my settings for g27, feels awesome (for me)

*on some mod cars you need to lower the ffb gain, but I do that in car setup menu, if needed
oh yes, this is so true ! I am finally able to finish a lap around the green hell without spinning or ending into a wall !
Looks like arcade mode turned on , but at least for a noob like myself (let's be honest, I have not played AC so much and I got my G27 for only few days ... discovering ffb, etc ...), I will find it pleasant.
I would have prefer having fun in the alfa and its 4wd, but I am truely disconnected from the car compared to LFS ... The car is out of my control too quickly ^^ ... and we are talking about a 4wd car with slick tires !!
... and I am not speaking of when at 30km/h I am able to loose the car control too ... Let's suppose I am lacking of reflex.
BTW, the Nordschleife is quite (very in fact) beautiful (AC is top on this part) ! Clearly something to be done by Eric for LFS
Well actually I'm hoping that they can sort out the FFB for Logitech wheels before it gets to the point the leagues I might be interested start transforming to AC. Or maybe my G27 brakes down and I can justify spending the money.
Agree about the G27
If you like strong FFB you will be disappointed, because clipping.
Same thing with the 'self aligning torque' G27 just can't keep up with low FFB, that's why I don't use 900 degrees, 720 is the max for me
So just buy better wheel or lower the ffb and deal with it..
Believe me, I have tried pretty much everything to setup the FFB to a good level. But no use, it's still meh.
I use G27 with a bigger wheel bolted on to it (330mm) which is part of the problem, but it works well on other sims so I know it is possible. The main problem seems to be that the FFB is either just too damn weak, or to get to an acceptable level it's clipping constantly. It's not horrible, it seems to be ok, I can feel the car's balance etc, but the main problem is I can't feel how much grip there is available on the front tires, which makes initial turn in very "boring".
I don't know if the lack of feeling for grip is caused by the too weak FFB, but it's possible. Also adding more min force doesn't help, it just makes the wheel rattle annoyingly.
Another thing that I have noticed as an example is that if I'm drifting and I'm transitioning from a turn to another turn and I have to change direction, in GTR2 (PnGv3 Alfa 1750GTAm) I can easily throw the wheel to the opposing direction and the wheel quickly goes to it's direction (caster effect) but in AC the effect is a little weak and the wheel turns in a slower, "softer" manner.
I have read that people who have replaced their Logitech wheel with a stronger wheel (ie. T300RS) have experienced an major update on the FFB. I would like to try this out, but I don't currently feel like spending all that money on a wheel, especially since the league I drive in currently is GTR2 based and in this the FFB feels good.
...I know the Scirocco is held up as the holy grail of cars by many people in the LFS community, but it's really just another front wheel drive car, although a nice sporty one....
It will bring ESP to LFS aswell, and in this aspect it is something that will bring much more good things than only a new FWD : some very powerful cars may be included in LFS ... and would be driveable . I have enjoyed sometimes to drive 599xx in AC, and I have to admit that I find it fun with and without TC help (do not know if it acts like an esp in the game or not ... but in the end, you have the choice to let electronic helping the driver like it is the case in real life). Do not hesitate to build then a clone of it for LFS
By the way, I bought a G27 ... I suppose I will need some help soon, because discovering FFB is not something easy after 14 years with my sidewinder precision racing wheel . Staying on the road is kinda difficult (damn : the wheel is countersteering itself ... weird) ! Hope things are going fine in the plan for releasing Westhill : I AM NOW READY
I mounted my G27 on the table ( been doing so for like a year now ) and suddenly a few minutes after it being sat on the table, tightly mounted together I hear a LOUD snap and the left side is loose. It looks like it lost a few threads? The left side doesn't screw as high up as the right one does and I can't tightly mount it to my table anymore.
sure can be, but that would be difficult and expensive!
better save money for a 900° wheel.
it took me about 6 years as well to get a g27.
just dont be impatient
