It depends, really. To be honest, the Momo is a downgrade from a DFGT, the wheel is tiny, and feels like a toy in a way, but its fairly robust. I still have mine, but my FFB motor shorted out somehow, and it's in my garage in my G25's box. The G25 and G27 on the other hand, have the full set; a shifter, and clutch pedal, along with the wheel.
ever since I bought my G25, I have never regretted it since, the wheel is larger, and it feels more rigid and more realistic, since it's not entirely made by plastic.
Hi'ya there. Approx 4 months ago my DFGT broken down, though I won't get deep into it. I've decided to spend a ''little'' something on a second-hand Logitech Momo BLACK Racing wheel. I've heard some good things and bad things, but overall - should I really consider rather buying a brand-new wheel, for example a G27 ?
Thing is that I'm not looking for anything fancy, just for a proper racing wheel which would provide me with proper racing experience.
Looking forward to see other individiual responses on my topic here.
Thanks for the speedy reply guys. First thing i did was go cp/game controllers and the dfgt came up. clicked property's on that and set it to 720 degrees turning. went in game and analogue steer smooth is set at 0. I turned wheel turn compensation to 0 aswell and still no effect. It only takes like 90 degrees to turn to full lock =[ Also i cant manage to recalibrate my wheels. I click recalibrate and center my actual wheel then click lock and that does nothing. And i wasn't sure whether you meant make the red marker go to the center then click lock so i tried that too and it didn't work either. Ive thrown them even further out of whack. Sorry for being such a noob with this but everyone's gotta start somewhere =] Also when FFB is on its light to turn until the FFB kicks in. But with it off its really stiff all the time. As though FFB wants to keep the wheel in center position? It is like this when out of game too. Is this normal? As i would of thought with FFB off the wheel would of just been super light. Im really losing hope with this now to be honest. I wish i just brought a g27!! I have seen plenty of videos of people running DFGT on lfs properly though so i know it can be done! Any more ideas fellas?
Just like those people that say new computers are too expensive to buy, yet everyone suggests buying a g27 for lfs. g27 is just as expensive as upgrading your cpu or gpu.
newer hardware is getting cheaper every year. last years technologies are relatively cheap today, so saying you can't afford a decent cpu/gpu/whatever is not a valid excuse for having a bad computer.
It helped my real life driving and that's invaluable to me! I hate that I can't get the graphics decent, but I've been itching to buy a g27 and get back out there in the XRR and learn how to drive a race car again!
Hi guys, im wondering if anyone would be interested in buying my Logitech driving force GT, its in good condition and working fine, i want to sell it to get a G25/G27. I'd be looking for around £80 or maybe abit less.
Thanks.
afford a G27, im sure your mother or whomever is buying you the wheel can see your that dedicated that they must include £24 s2 voucher for you to enjoy the gift even more.
FWIW, this is how I start LFS with the g27 under wine. Just set the RANGE to whatever you want and you should be golden, unless you're using 2 g27s at the same time
#!/bin/bash RANGE=180
for F in $( ls /sys/module/hid_logitech/drivers/hid\:logitech/*:*/range ); do echo $RANGE > $F done #cat /sys/module/hid_logitech/drivers/hid:logitech/*:*/range
xset -dpms ; xset s off export WINEDEBUG=-all export LAST_PWD=$PWD cd ~/.wine/drive_c/LFS /usr/bin/wine "LFS.exe" cd $LAST_PWD xset +dpms ; xset s on exit 0
I want to show our team [MasiveDynamic]. We are truly exist since 2011 october. In october I created the team KBDteam (keyboard drifters). I had just a few members. After buying a new wheel (G27) I decided to rename the team to Massive Dynamic. We are a drift team, and running our own server. Not 0-24 because its doesnt have any sense for this. Every day the server is open from 10-12 A.M. (GMT +2) to 12PM .
Our server is equiped with drift lapper. Every week twice the TOP 18 list is put on facebook so everyone could see who was the best on certain layouts.
Our members:
[MD]sixkiler - PRO drifter and admin (Logitech Driving Force GT [DFGT]) [MD]SarXes - Experienced drifter and admin (Logitech G27) [MD]Obstage - Experienced drifter (GamePad) [MD]Thickey - Beginner drifter (Logitech G27)
Happens with my g27
The problem is the optical sensor and it is slipping
Luckily i ran with a momo for along time and nothing went wrong
Fortunatley my g27 still has warrenty so i will be sending it back
All wheels mayencounter this problem but logitechs do alot more
Contact logitech for warrenty info
Thanks - m1
That's my understanding of it too, however, there's a catch. LTWC literally takes the G27 away from the kernel's control, does stuff with it and then returns it back. Logitech wheels are handled "properly" since kernel 3.2, so when the kernel gets the wheel back, it reinitializes it again which leads to new /dev/input entries being created. Perhaps that somehow confuses udev so the link it creates points to the old invalid entry.
Does it work when you remove the LTWC part from your udev rules?
After attaching the G27 i get the following output ( using dmesg)

Hello!
I have made a few drifting movies and one post of a hacker on youtube. I will be posting more videos including tandem and twin drifts.
But i will sadly not be able to do better videos since im a demo driver, and i cant possibly get a S2 or S1 license. Im underaged, and dont have an access to a Credit / Debit card. The money isnt the problem, ive got enough money understand it, people, i just cant use those payment options!
Anyone wont buy a License to me, ive asked all possible people. But yeah, things are how they are, im hoping that if i make alot videos, i will earn a license.
I am using a Logtech Formula Force EX, but im looking forward to getting a G27, which ill get in the end of this month possibly.
And yeah, ill be honest, the trailer looked alot more awesome than the movie itself.
So here are the videos:
Live For Speed - ,,Perfection '' Trailer:
NEW VIDEO : Live For Speed - HD Test - Random Shizzle'.
In that video im testing Slow - Motions - like at 0:20, and testing new HD settings.
MAKE SURE YOU WATCH IN 720P HD ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v ... JPtQ&feature=youtu.be
