Hi folks. I sold my G27 like 5-6months ago and about a week ago I started playing LFS again, and now I regret selling it sooooo much.
So I was thinking of buying a cheaper wheel this time, and I'm pretty sure there are some DVGT owners here and I wanted to ask you people, how is the wheel? Is the FFB good, do pedals feel good and stuff, I want your opinions on this wheel.
Btw I mostly DRIFT, so if there is any drifters around using this wheel, please share your opinion.
yea that just screws it up then i have to do lock to lock after that. the problem is that in the middle area its not moving with the virtual wheel, like to the point my g27 is once upside down its barely going 90 degrees in game... this is very difficult when drifting...
whatever its already sold, for 100, got a g27, but i want to know about a possible problem im having, im playing lfs and i turn the wheel 90 degrees and it barely moves the ingame wheel, and starts after 180 degrees it starts moving faster, but i have changed the turn degrees in the profiler and nothing worked, i want to know how to align the g27 to the ingame wheel, can someone please help?

How Active Are You? I can be online since 8 am untill 2 am so I guess I am pretty Active ( more than 10 hours ) in my holidays because in school time I can only play for 4-5 hours. What Kind of Control do you use? I was using my Macbook Pro's Keyboard but I recently bought an Logitech G27. Time Zone: GMT +0
Original one had pedal issues that i fixed but i decided to buy a fanatec anyways. Turns out my g27 was under warranty so they are replacing it and sending me a new one. Message me if you are interested
ill go for 100 i seriously just want to get it off of my hands and get some money thats all. i know 150 is steep, but put it steep and go down, instead of getting ripped off at 50 or so. when it came out i paid 250. but seriously its a good wheel for beginners and people who want a wheel, but cant afford the g25 or g27 or some other high end ffb wheel
Try this: Go to LFS' Options > Controls > CTRL+
(we're going to bind the pitting function on CTRL + F12)
Type "/shift p" on the box next to CTRL + F12 (without the ", of course!)
Now simply click on the [none] next to the CTRL + F12 (under Wheel Buttons) and hit the button on the G27 that you want to use for pitting.
Easy peasy!
PS: Similarly you can use buttons on the G27 for other game functions (horn, indicators, wipers, headlamp washers, spectating, exiting etc.)
Okay, I was kidding about the wipers and headlamp washers!
This is my first post on the lfs forum.
Just a stupid little thing, but i'm sick of leaning over my g27 to hit ctrl+p to pit when doing drift in autocross online.
Does anyone know of a way to untie pitting from ctrl+p and assign a button on my wheel for it.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thx everyone
okay so it does exactly what the title says, it can be a power over, e-brake a feint clutch kick it just bogs down even if im only at 30 degree angle im using a g27 all manual thanks in advance!
first of all - very nice video, nice driving seat and equipment. Wish I could have so much space, too. About your driving. I won't tell you best possible time with hardtrack setup, because I want you to get rid of it as soon as possible. As you can see from the video, this setup has so much understeer which is not good combined with your driving style. When you're done with testing your skills on new setup, here are some hints I've spotted when I was watching your driving:
1. your shifting is too slow. I know you just bought G27 and it's all new, but do try to change gears more aggressively, just fasten up your reflex. Don't worry about the shifter or wheel, it won't damage.
2. you are not hitting apex right. One simple suggestion that goes nearly for all tracks - slow in, fast out. What you are doing is that you are braking on the inside and then loosing time, because you accelerate too late out of the turn.
3. Use full potential of track. Use all curbs, you're simply not using the track right.
4. Try to avoid sliding in turns. Be as smooth as you can. I know this is hard to be done, but hardtrack is really not the right setup. You need to find a setup which will fit your driving style and even improve it.

I'm new in Live For Speed and i just bought a G27 for improve my driving skill, I made a little video showing one lap on blackwood with the XFG ( hardtrack setup ), I want to progress, so, any advices for improve my time please ? ^^
G27 now for approx 7 months, clunking noise when you turn it max to the left, scratching noise @ 20-90 degrees, FFB once didn't work properly [was clunking every single time when the wheel was being turned, but it was like after the first 3 months, then it disappeared by itself].
A lot of people I've known that got a G27, have been needing replacements every few months. I on the other hand, got my G25 4 years ago, and it's still kicking, like nothing's happened to it, except for the little plastic ring that hold up the shifter boot fell into the mechanism, making me unable to shift (I had to remove the boot for that to be taken out). The wheel probably needs some cleanup here and there to remove some debris, but it's fine otherwise.
Only 1 problem and that is the accelerator spiking (easily fixed). Other than that ive had no problems, ive done about 100k miles on lfs with this wheel with a fair amount of FFB, that is mixed drifting and racing (Drifting with 720 & shifter, shifter no problems at all)
Mine has lasted since they were first released, so like 6 years or so. I've had 1 replacement wheel within the first 6 months due to an electrical short (Plugging my G25's power adapter in still makes sparks), but since then.. no such issues.
My G27 still works perfectly, the only issue was that it sometimes exchanged the R gear with the 6th gear.. That's gone now, fixed itself. My old wheel, a G25(5 years old, sold to a friend), still works... The gear shifter got stuck though, dissasembly was needed... But other than that, I think I'm pretty lucky
I remember, being 14, in year 8 at high school, all my mates, I didn't have many so my circle of two other friends were all competing on who was the best at Nitto racing when one day one of them said something about LFS.
Curious, when I got home that night I searched it and downloaded, this is back in the days of S1, before car damage tyre wear etc etc. a year later I convinced my mum to buy me S1, and a year after that S2 when it came out. I even remember the leaked version of S2 with the LX8, I wish I still had it
I played the shit out of it on my Pentium II processor to the point I'd take days off school just to sit home and race.
It wasn't until about 2 years after that when I bought a wheel, a shitty little spring feed back180 degrees bottom range logitech. eventually upgrading to G25, G27 and a full race setup.
I guess my point is, I've grown up with LFS and it's always been the stand out game for me. it kept me entertained through high school, to getting a job, to buying a house, to amusing my self to watching first timers play.
Over the past few years though, I've come to feel sad for it, a bit like a depressed grandpa with dementia. Locked in an old persons home who you some times go and visit in the hope he remembers something from the good old days or just to hang onto something that once was.
I still think about LFS, and I come to these forums twice a month with the small hope that I'll see a thread with the title.
"S3 Alpha nearly here"
I'm really starting to doubt this though.
The Dev's say they don't see the point in announcing their progress, wind the clock back to the time between S1 and S2, there was continues updates and screen shots of what is to come
I have owned about 3 different G27's since January 2012.
The first one started 3-4 months after purchase, having the shifter-problem. The second one.. well.. Did about the same time, third one, that I got from replacement in warranty, is from September 2012ish, and this one didn't break down yet.
I use it about 5 - 10 hours a week. Normal racing (or driving very very very quick if you count cruise-servers), sometimes drifting.
