This discussion isn't on tactics, it's about taking the opportunity to not drive the whole pit lane at 80 and instead cross the finish line.
And my opinion: nay.
I would like to reduce my FOV below ~85° but I really need those side mirrors... I think the default position of the driver should be changed in some cases, like in the BF1, it's ridiculous I only see the shaft of the mirrors illepall
Although I know a single 4:3 monitor isn't enough for proper racing pusposes.
I have a question with LFSW: When I want to browse it, live alert and the home window pops up even though I didn't want it to. It is very annoying having to close both of them every time I visit the site.
I tried logging out and then in and I have even deleted LFSW cookies, but the problem remained.
What can I do? Edit:I managed to solve the Live alert problem, but the home window still pops up
It would require a lot of money to get rid of these idiots but paying their 24 pounds back and withdrawing their licences would be a very effective way of making LFS a better online simulator.
Now that I think of it, they might not even be entitled for the 24 pounds, I remember reading somewhere that in case of foolish behaviour the developers have the right to terminate their licences.
School is finishing in three weeks and I'd like to enjoy my races...
I drive online for the fun of it and not to drive good times, so I start to brake earlier if someone is in front of me. Unfortunately as I like my car untouched I tend to brake later when being followed. (got used to the wrecking)
If I'm new to the combo, I'm not as cautious, I try to follow the car in front as close as I can to learn the ideal curves/speed.
Instead of taking the lagging car off the track, it might be nice to see an almost transparent replica of the car (with the same lag counter above it) drive on an AI raceline. The car's position would still not be precise, but it would give a much better idea than the current method.
My favourite car is the three XR cars, especially the GT. We became good friends in my demo period, we left quite a few XFG drivers choking on our exhaust fumes
I think the fact that few people drive XR cars on public servers (atleast that's what I see) just adds to my love for it
It might have been mentioned earlier, but the digital speedo of the RAC should be a bit to the right I think (or kph/mph should be underneath the digits)
I'm not good enough to be able to drive fast laps without fully concentrating on my raceline, and so I don't look at my speed (digital), I disabled split time display and shrunk the size of chat messages (had a bad habit of wanting to read all of them which usually got me in the sandbox)
Still several seconds from WRs, but I'd rather choose this than to have no competition at all.
You race online to learn to drive rather than to have fun?
I think people learn to race not by deciding to learn it, but by racing a lot in order to enjoy themselves.
We don't know what features will be added to the final version, and to answer the AI issue, the demo is exactly the same as S2 only to exclude tracks and cars.
Having multiple private servers (by admins wanting to host good races) with a single password published here on the forum might be a solution because I think only a fraction of licensed racers visit the forum which also kind of filters serious racers from wreckers. Sensible people not reading the forum could get the password from fellow racers via instant messenger programs or something.
Might not be the best idea, but something needs to be done because I am losing faith towards the game and I think I am not alone
