I remember the times when I used a mouse and had to set the brakes really low to avoid blocking, which obviously meant longer braking distance, thus slower laps. With a wheel and pedals, you can brake real hard at first, then gradually reduce the brakes, which makes braking very effective without blocking. Oh and try driving a FWD GTR with digital "pedals" ...
I can now safely say that after 6 months of getting used to my wheel I am faster and more stable, plus the thrill of it is one of a kind!
Those stripes are nowhere near eachother on the left side jovadzic. Please update it, this is the first skin I'd like to use (have no team skin for FOX)
Very nice skin though, there's imagination it it
These things happen every now and then. Someone has an idea that a car is neglected and makes a thread about it to see if he/she is on their own or not. Then some admins set their servers to that car and people can have fun with them for a few days, then it dies.
Why not (among a few servers) have the cars or rather classes for a week each? Have the names of the servers and the car in a sticky for everyone to see, something like:
Does that mean everyone starts whenever they want and if they drive off before the lights go green they get a penalty? I think it would be nice like that... a bit of extra adrenaline to make the start just right, no?
There is an option to turn "window while connecting" off.
Popular combos are FOX@SO1, GTR@AS3 (*sigh*)
Don't know what you mean.
You will download skins automatically by default.
Ask for sets nicely but not right after connecting (well I for one don't like it)
I don't think kerbs are needed and about the width... well, better watch what you're doing I certainly wouldn't mind a bit where you must be careful and not just floor it like mad.
I think AIs should be grey. I like the lapped=blue idea, but the positions should not be colourcoded. I know I would have problems memorising them Instead, have small texts following each car saying 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. at a customisable size and colour.
I hope it would be too much for Scawen to do. I'm a casual racer and don't intend to spend too much money on my PC if any at all. On my AMD1800+ Gef5200 1gb ram LFS runs just about right but still suffers at racestarts even though the graphics are optimised.
I think one of the advantages of LFS is the medium system requirement and that should stay like that.
That's not an excuse you know. Solve it on your own without making a thread about it or discuss it with your close friends in person.
Sorry to hear though.
There are several options in LFS already that are unrealistic. If they want to drive chase cam, let them, and give them a mirror while you're there, it would make them safer racers. If there will be an option to force cockpit view like I read somewhere, then it's useless anyway.
Oh sure, why not give a demo racer a licence because he/she completed all the training lessons? illepall I'd say it has to be a lot more than just an exceptionally long race which is posted like for the 6th time.
I have a Formula Force GP. This is my first wheel ever, so I can't compare it to anything, but apparently it works just fine, although it's only 6 months old.
It was quite hard to get hold of it here in Hungary, 2 or 3 shops said they are not sold anymore. I managed to get one after running around for a few days, it was something like 60 Euros.
