Ya I remember when I was visiting these forums more than ten times a day and catching anything that's unusual (yes, patches come under this category) but now that I'm at university and life has started kind of rolling on its own I don't have time to visit here.
As a matter of fact I don't really miss this forum as there hasn't been much noteworthy changes to it but more importantly, to LFS.
I'll get an e-mail of patch Y anyway without having to come here hunting patches and seeing people burning banana'ing each other
OK I couldn't have a look myself so thanks for explaining.
I use FOV values between 80 and 85-87, lower for singleseaters and higher (until I almost see the tip of my side mirror) for all the other cars. Yes that means I never drive the RAC or the BF1.
But that's just it, the LX8 is already done so no work needs to be done to it to include it in an incompatible patch.
Actually I don't see why we don't already have it, I mean the FO8 was included in S2 even though it was impossible to drive it with those physics so is something being hard to drive really an excuse? I'm dreaming of getting the dp and the lx8 in Y :|
Careca had some serious timetravelling skillz
I don't think he controlled the reset though, it kind of looked like his LFS kept sending the data of his previous location from half a second earlier.
What's wrong with the one on Inferno? Try tweaking it like I do:
Make a copy of the set and adjust arb, steering and diff until you can drive it easily, then try resetting the set to the original in small steps.
I haven't driven the RAC much so it might not work seeing as it doesn't have a rear ARB
Good luck
For the part right next to the black mask, yes, but his curves on the side of the car are also jagged which... I have no idea how that could've been achieved.
Practice sessions and qualification start from the pits now. In order to get out of the pits you must use the pit lane, which the AI can't use at the moment. You can only race against the AI until patch Y.
A lot would need to be edited in that. I'm no master skinner but I think I can provide you with some advice if you care:
1. Use only "LFS-standard" resolutions, preferrably 2048x2048
2. Get a decent 2048x2048 carbon fibre texture because patching small bits just won't work.
3. Get high resolution decals or at least not so jagged ones.
4. Have a basic shape (stripe/flame/flag/whatever) on the skin to make the blank parts more interesting.
5. The overall outcome reflects your attitude towards the whole thing. Post nice skins and you'll get positive comments and thus be treated nicely
It might be just the compression applied to your sceenie of the CMX viewer but your skin looks pretty low quality. If you're already working in 2048px I suggest searching for higher resolution logos on the internet a bit more.
Suggestion: Both Shinozooka and Cromo are tyre brands, I'd remove the Shinozooka decal.
That's about it I like it though.
