There is quite a large community for drifters in S2 and I can't see the point in waiting for S3. Go buy an S2 licence now and see the many variations available!
Most likely there will never be new (circuit or drift) configurations in the demo by the way.

I played around with everything that had mip and trilinear in it at the GPU settings but no success. Sacred has very limited graphics settings and I couldn't find anything relevant.
It seems that these squares show up on object (rocks, houses, trees) only, the ground itself and the characters are fine. The squares even move when an object (flag blown by wind) is moving. Don't know if that means anything or not.

Quote from dannynet :hát persze hogy van megoldás. A kártya hibás, vidd vissza az üzletbe, ahol vetted. más játékokban is produkálja a hibát?

in english: I guess David's vga card is faulty, I recommended him to take it back to the shop where he bough it, and ask for a replacement.

Quote from MadCatX :Before sending your card to RMA try to test it using some synthetic test programmes like 3DMark and so. If GFX is faulty, it should produce artifacts whenever 3D image processing is being used.

I reinstalled windows because it needed one anyway and I was happy to see the mirrors not flashing so LFS is now perfect. However, in Sacred I see (texture?) squares in the main menu and ingame as well (attachment) and again, no problems with my previous card. When I had a glimpse at 3dmark working I couldn't see anything wrong so it might be one of Sacred's many bugs.
I don't mind if the card is faulty because I only got it like a week ago, I just need to know it for certain. And thanks for the hints

I recently got a 7300 GT and I get flashing artifacts in my mirrors and above the windscreen occasionally even though the card is not overclocked (as far as I know). I use 93.71 forceware and have tried changing 32bit colours to 16bit, I have tried changing AA and AF settings and resolution as well but the problem is still there. Temperature is always below 45°C.
I had none of this with my previous card (fx5200)...
Is there an obvious solution to this?

Quote from michele0676 :Hallo !
I'm a S2 user and yesterd i bought the wheel in object.

Are there somebody that use it with LFS ?

I need to know if i have to take on the profiler software or not !

Thank you for help !

I use a Formula Force GP, similar to yours and I recommend using the profiler because it can store settings for separate games if you're a multigamer. And like others said, setting a cycle from F9 to F12 for a single button is really helpful, I use it a lot!

Quote from al heeley :+1 it's a compliment to a good design.
I get irritated by people posting up their skins then announcing it's private and no-one can use it. If you don't want people to use it, and you're posting it to enjoy some feedback why not post up a render, cmx or in-game screenshot?

Jakg has pointed it out several times that posting the optimum resolution skinfile and stating that nobody can use it means they can put them in their skins_x folder to enjoy higher quality skins on other cars. Makes sense to me although I wouldn't bother with this.
The problem here isn't about getting irritated about minor things such as this, it's the lack of respect among a lot of racers.

Quote from deggis :Even if it's a team skin, isn't it just flattering that someone wants to use a nice skin made by you. It's not the biggest crime in the world after all Best way to prevent this is probably write "NOT FOR PUBLIC USE" on some empty area in the skin file.

As long as the thief doesn't start wrecking... Don't forget, not everyone knows about the ctrl+shift combination.

I'd like to see some kind of protection against this implemented.

Quote from spookthehamster :The wheels are indeed crappy. I have one of those and I couldn't even sell it for £20 inc postage.

90 degree turn makes it only good for the BF1.

I think it's actually 100 for one direction of course. I have a formula force gp, one before the EX and well... I don't have anything to compare it to so I'm quite happy with it For the odd race every two weeks It's enough for me.

I use my licence name. I never understood the point in using plates the user might refer to as funny when it's just... crap Oh yeah and I simply love the rude ones to show others how cool and brave the person is

Quote from Kendercik :newb question:
what does using 4 cars mean practically?
why not just pitting allowed?

It means the minimum number of cars for a certain type so in this case 4 of FZR, 4 of XRR and 4 of FXR. But considering the number of applications so far I don't think it's possible at all. In fact I'm here to post that I have to cancel my application. Things didn't (and won't) turn out as I expected, sorry. I have been working on a nice skin especially for this event but it seems I won't show off with it just yet
But if the event will be held later and with much more racers then I'd be interested but for now, take me off the list.
Good luck all!

Music was kind of like a crappy discman stuttering But I very much liked the video, my only advice is to control the camera to follow the car because we could only see the beginning of the drifts.

You know, I once had a WR. For about 8 hours IIRC. So, LFSn00b, don't be too surprised to see one of the top 5 WR holders to swoop down on ya
Don't forget to take a screeny

It's the way he runs his thread

Jovadzic you still make excellent skins but like I said back then when I frequented your thread, set the light in the preview picture to let us see the details! Me no care about shadows

One of the most important acronyms (for me) is ARB which stands for Anti Roll bar(s)
Also, when people join a server and the first thing they say is 'fuel?' it means 'Could anyone please tell me how much fuel is needed to complete the race?'. Manners FTW (for the win instead of for the weak like I thought )

Quote from al heeley :mine has a sort of carbon fibre type texture on it, it looks fine. Maybe a dds edit involved, can't be sure any longer.

It must be a dds mod because... mine is blank

Though I think it should have some kind of texture because right now it's like a black hole.

Quote from Victor :i have removed your cheap avatar.

Considering there are 12-13 yearolds visiting the forum there are quite a few avatars that should be weeded out imho.
On topic: If LFS downloaded skins while connecting, then nobody would be able to leave/join the server during that time which would be quite annoying. I always stay in spectator mode while the skins are downloaded so even if you do lag it doesn't really matter.

The collision system/damage model is one of the weakest parts of LFS... why make a movie about it? And seeing the AIs fooling around isn't too exciting, sorry.

Quote from Iron :Also make sure you set up the drivers like this:
(with the exception of the "Degrees of rotation" of course)

Is there a particular reason those three forces should be at 0%? I have everything at 100%

How badly is performance affected by the higher resolution mirror? I don't have much FPS to spare

The movie gets a 10/10 rating from me although the collision system ruins a few parts of it, especially the MRT crash at SO but that's not the director's fault (well it is, for showing it )
I'd like to have it in high quality too.

Huge bump there Ethan but thanks for it
