Yes Sir, I can boogie
But I need a certain song.
I can boogie, boogie woogie
All night long.
Yes Sir, I can boogie,
If you stay, you can’t go wrong.
I can boogie, boogie woogie, all night long
Damnit I can't get this damn song out of my head now.
I don't have one myself, but below is something that Tim Wheatly from iRacing posted about setting Porsche wheel up. Maybe this will help you
INSTALLATION
Please note that I suffered problems during installation. I had read in other reviews that there are some problems on installation of the wheel… I wanted to prove that everything worked perfect when you followed instructions but I found that even following the instructions turned out to be difficult… I have since contacted Fanatec about it and they told me they have a totally different procedure for installation now which matches the conclusions I drew myself during my own struggles:
1. Fully build and mount wheel and pedals.
2. Do not use the automatic updater on the USB stick.
3. Download the latest driver manually on the Fanatec website.
4. Plug in the RF dongle before you install the driver.
5. Run Setup.exe from your manual download.
6. Calibrate the controller.
I spent nearly 1½ hours trying to figure things out the way the manual I received was telling me to. I eventually gave up and did it my own way (shown above).
As to whether you will get to keep the Radical and silverstone after the 1 month I really don't know, it would be real nice for the new guys if you did. Maybe check out the Radical website see if it mentions anything there?
Yes sorry mate, my interenet is currently goosed so i'm on dial up and cannot race I've nothing better to do than talk utter rubbish on forums.
There is no pick up racing in iRacing, you have to enter an official race, or do an official time trial. There are practise servers that can be joined though.
May I ask exactly what you get with this Radical promotion. Is it just the Radical car and one track only? I'm thinking without the iraing license needed to drive the radical you will not be able to race with others? I'm not really sure mate.
Well actually due to high demand iracing are opening a type of cruise server, where the longer you drive around without any accident you can get car upgrades like NOS, wider wheels and a bloody large exhaust.
As Dougie mentioned, the iRacing developers know that their Game will not survive without catering for the masses. What is really annoying for compulsive cruisers like myself is that they're planning to charge another 5 bucks a month for this privelage...that's just not on in my book.
Fair enough Jakg, you certainly won't get any cop from me for giving your opinion. I do not agree with you though . The only thing that is not too good in my weensie opinion is the fakish, too bright and colorful graphics, but as for the rest I personally think it is the best I've tried when it comes to physics, FFB and tracks. It's also made me enjoy oval racing which is something I thought would never happen.
I have to say though the online racing for fun factor in LFS wins everytime. iRacing is like doing a league race each time and people maybe take it a bit too seriously. I often spend more time trying to avoid losing safety rating or accidently touching another car than actually enjoying close racing.
Oh and I guess this thread is the place to discuss the good and bad. It's pretty decent of Radical to give out some free trials anyway thanks to the OP for posting. http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=378

Reason : my c key is goosed
So you gave it a right good try Jakg and didn't like it? Please tell what you didn't like about it? I suppose the $20 dollars a month can put a lot of people off it.
As the Nixim is built in the UK and the pound is worth nowt at the moment it may be the wise option for me and I know their support is good from getting the G25 pedal mod from them. That Fanatec Rennspeed keeps winking at me though .
I'm going to wait on a reply from Obutto then decide.
I've been looking at getting a cockpit and am wondering what your thoughts are on the Nixim Racecraft GT? It looks ok but maybe a bit on the expensive side for what it is?
I've also been looking at the following:
Obutto - not sure if I can get this in the UK, waiting on them answering my e-mail, from what I read this seems the best value and a quality product.
Fanatec Rennspeed - Looks the dogs bollocks, but a very expensive set of testes. Also it can come with a support for 3 x 24" monitors which is my next aim with Triple head to go. (wifes gonna cut my bollocks off)
Playseat - not a bad price although not really what I want.
If anyone reading this has any other ideas it would be much appreciated.
Sorry to hijack your thread a bit mate, I hope someone can help you out. I can ask in the iracing forum for you as I know there are many folks in there with ECCI products.
Edit: I see you've already posted in the iracing forum, good luck mate
Welcome guys! I've not raced with you too much due to RL.....soon (27th)Jaybee you will be whipping my butt on track like the rest of the guys and Havoc can have the pleasure of booting me from our server for being slow
Arsetistic Andy again a mention for the welome poster/DVD boxes.
