Oh no please let me in....I hold the yellow card world record on the CTRA servers (most infringements) and I have already just finished quitting Halfords after a blazing row on teh vent, telling them they can shove their useless team.....etc.

Please let me in I'm lonely....think of how with my points we could lead the CTRA rankings by....oh please.......!

I had this exact problem, found that due to me being slightly overkeen and frequently pulling my wheel from the table I had slightly disconnected a lead underneath my G25.

I know this sounds a bit obvious to check but it was my problem.

Is there a way to delete all my PB's without having to go through them all individually deleting?

Cheers

It's still great fun regardless, I like patch Y, wish that flatshifting did more damage TBH especially on public server sprint races. No doubt on longer league races it will have the desired affect.

I now use my G25 clutch which is a good thing, before with patch X I always felt like if I used proper realistic shifting techniques it slowed me down.

Merry Xmas and a drunken New year!

What's the point of keeping PB's that were gained with old Physics? Delete the lot

BigDave/Bawbag,

If you sre going to book the SS at knocklill give me a shout (PM) and I'll come along if that's ok.

I hope they will put restrictions on Bawbags car for the day, surely he can't be as fast in the real thing...can he?!

Quote from Almightysim :Hello everyone.

Just picked up S2 today after playing the demo on and off for months (whenever v. 0.5S came out, I forget). I plan on hopping onto the online servers to give competition a try and was wondering which servers would be most suitable for someone who's going to make mistakes and be a bit slower than the rest.

Gotta start somewhere.

You could try.

1. CTRA race 1 in xfg and xrg or CTRA SS 1 in the FOX, usually very busy with a mix of standards, racers battling for points regulated by the first class CTRA system (CTRA is my personal favourite)
2. Redline for single seater perhaps
3. Cone Dodgers 1 for GTR cars
4. Any public server you fancy (the wise choice ) just declare yourself new in chat and try not to hit anyone and have fun.

Quote from ajp71 :The BMW SMG gearbox is not the same as a sequential gearbox, it's a computer controlled automatic gearbox with sequential manual control AFAIK. You won't find a BMW racing car fitted with one either, they'll instead be using either a fully manual H-gate or a sequential, some of which will have extra throttle cut/blip features, but they're separate from the actual gearbox. As a general rule the only road cars with a gearbox mechanically similar to a racing sequential are the more extreme track cars.

Ok thanks for explaining that...makes sense to me now

With the smg gearbox (sequential) fitted to a E46 M3, their is no requirement to blip the throttle when changing gears, although it does make the gear change seem smoother when you do.

Do real life GTR cars have sequential gears? If so then there should be no requirement to lift your foot from the accelerator as the computer does it for you.

Quote from F.Rizzo :I'd just like to point out that not everyone thinks it is badly organised or a rip-off or anything of the sort. I was happy to consider entering to have a chance of moving up to the international league and will do so again when the series re-launches. I do think the information could be displayed clearer on the site as it really is a bit hard to find. More notice certainly is required next time though!

One thing that would encourage me to join is a guaranteed place in the next season as I would not be too happy being one of the first to pay and then not get in next season when it may be more popular or well known.

Agreed ....the more I think about it and the more I see illustrious fast drivers associated with this league...then maybe I'd be too slow anyway even if the league did get of the ground.....the fastest I've managed (offline) is 1:38:19 a massive 3 seconds from what I would need to be (looking at the tracker). doh!..

Good luck with it anyway! I'll keep on practising

Well, I play Eve online (my character has 34 mill skill points ) and have to pay a monthly subscription, in order for the developers to keep me (and many thousands other) playing and paying monthly subscriptions they have to update content on a regular basis. (Or god help them :P)

For LFS we have all paid for S2 and can play on any server, whenever, 24/7 for absolutely nothing. So as the developers have already got our cash and have the kind heart to let us compete together for free online using their majestic software they will, and should not be, in any rush to add content.

P.S. anyone want to buy some +4 memory implants?

Quote from DevilDare :Hey guys just wondering does CD public server ever change their track? I think driving the same track over and over again gets a little bit boring. Do they ever change it? atleast liek for 30min or something Dont u get bored of Aston National ?

Be warned it can get very addictive, before you know it your dreaming of a 1:41, sticking Conedodgers pictures on your bedroom wall and grovelling in their forums for one of their fast sets.

Don't mean to hastle you but is it possible that you could link or even add everything (rules, car class, News, Tracker, details of qualifying and server etc) to that new page you've created.

Cheers

I use manual clutch for the start with the car in first gear, full revs, clutch at biting point, at green just jump of the clutch. You can also adjust the first gear ratio to avoid excessive wheel spin of the start line or even go online and watch someone making a fast start and ask nicely for his/her set

Welcome to S2, do not be afraid to go online, it is the best place to learn

Vykos69, you should perhaps open a topic advertising this UK league in the 'League' section of these forums, maybe you'll get more response.
