Yep I know they actually have motorbike 1 down 4 up type gearbox with clutch. I was more meaning in general terms of clutch use.
The racing was good fun but the weather was absolutely horrendous and I'm like a 'drooned rat'. Got some good info from the racers and I'm definately going to do my ARDS and have a blast in the XR2's next season, even got my wife to OK it yipee! Unfortunately the Legends and Formula Fords are a wee bitty out my price range.
I've got to say the Legends at Infineon is the best fun to drive that I've ever had in any Sim. Using the H-shifter and clutch it's bleedin great fun. I wish there was a series in the sim for forcing the use h-shifter and clutch. Unfortunately for me this method is at least a second or two a lap slower than using sequential with no clutch so I'm only using it when playing around.
Anyway I'm off to Knockhill today to watch the Scotish Legends in action for real....in the wet it should be interesting
And what do you think gives you the right to insinuate that it will take two more pages of this before war breaks out....god I hate you Zeugi, how dare you, you inconsiderate man
Edit:nothing against you personally but there is far too much of this 'I hate drifters' , 'I hate racers', I hate whoever happened to p me of last posts in this forum as it is
The people that annoy me most in LFS is the old gits in a midlife crisis that really should know better than to post nonsense in games forums......oh wait shit that is me
Hmm I wonder if I could help you out. You could pay me by paypal and I could pay your subscription. I'll drop them a mail and see what the score is on this if you want?
Edit: Just checked out the forums, people have been able to pay by debit card, have you tried that?
Edit2 sent them a mail anyway just to see what they suggest, bloody ridiculous if a CC is all they take.
Edit 3: This is the response I got Right now, we are only accepting Mastercard, Visa and American Express credit or debit cards. I could connect you with our Accounting Department if you wanted to do a bank wire transfer, but that is with a $200 minimum.
We are working hard to start accepting Paypal soon. Although I don't have an eta - it should be sooner rather than later.
In the meantime, I can suggest getting a prepaid credit card.
I hope this information is helpful. If not or you have any other questions, please let us know.
 wheye! I finished my 3rd race in 2nd place at Irwindale, almost breaking into the 18 secs, yes I know it's no big deal but I am rather happy about that. Gregor Huttu you'd better watch out......
Thanks rjm, you've hit the nail on the head, the RF heating up was exactly my problem. I've done a few hundred laps today and am starting to get the hang of it. Although I am severely dizzy and can't see properly it's becoming addictive. My poor wheel has e-mailed me asking why I don't turn right anymore
Nikimere, totally of topic but that Legends racing looks mad fun, I'm off to knockhill this weekend for the last round of the Scottish championships. Do you know Richard Crozier? he also races Legends.
Types of aerated chocolate sold in the UK, personally my favourite is rasperry ruffel bars, closely followd by cream eggs. If I've not had sex for a while scampy fries are also not too bad.
Oh dear I thought I was slow on road races but oval oh my oh my the proverbial 'tortoise on sleeping tablets' springs to mind. I have been using the baseline set up but the car seems to understeer so badly, that along with being totally unable to select the right line is my main problem. Has anyone got any tips on how to reduce the understeer? The Oval 'wedge' type set ups are completely alien to me and to be honest I don't know where to begin .
Anyway I have at least completed two races coming last of those that finished in each case. Maybe if I added 'Jr' to the end of my surname I would be faster.
I've just re-installed but I can't get the pedals to work properly Got Leo Bednars Pedal mod and my axis are all nincompooped.....I shall persevere.
I just love the way the battery/starter?? gets goosed if you can't get the car started in the first couple of attempts.
Bought this about a year ago but never really gave it a good go at the time I think because there was no online pick up going on and I was too caught up with LFS.
Edit: Just as a matter of interest I assume that due to weight that formula cars don't carry a battery so what is it that is kaput if the car doesn't start....Am I flooding the engine? or is it simply the starter motor overheating or burning out? cheers
1. Take your right hand and place it on the mouse
2. Move the mouse so that the pointer on screen goes to the 'Search' function at the top of the page.
3. Type in 'LFS Tweak' and press enter on the keyboard
4. Work your way through the hundreds of posts that comes up until you find it.
If you check out Turbo Dads thread attached there are plenty of links to set up guides to help you get the most out of the cars. As stated no way to boost the power but heck if you want tribal skins they can be had.
