Shotglasses Lancia Delta Integrale or a Ford Fiesta hmmm tricky choice...not. That Lancia is lovely mate. Infact I'm going to see how much one would these days cost on pistonheads.

Edit: well anything between £5k and £40k

Grid is without doubt one of the most disapointing games I have had the misfortune to install on my hard drive. I'm sure it's fine on a console but the PC version is just horrible the handling, graphics, control interface, ffb is pants The women in the garage has a sexy voice that's all it has going for it.

I must say I like GTL, GTR2, GTR Evo and particularly like the Power and Glory mod. Rfactor I have on my HDD but not really given it a chance due to too many mods, add-ons and setting up ffb etc. Netkar Pro I have installed but not really tried it out too much yet. iRacing and LFS I play the most at the moment. I guess there are a lots of sims to choose from and each have there good and bad points.

Is LFS ageing a lot? No Am I aging a lot? Yes

Well after a complete 8 hours of searching and reading the interweb (never did get dressed) I've bought 3 off these from Scan for £407.49 for all three including VAT and delivery. Not a bad prices I think anyway. Can't find any duff reviews and the AV forum guys think they are wonderful for the price. here's hoping!!!

Jakg, Are you in PC world today mate? If so could you have a look at 22" monitors and recommend me any theat have thin side bezels. I'm going for a triple monitor set up and can't really get a feel for what looks best on the interweb.

I live out in the sticks and it's like journey to the centre of the earth for me to find my local PC world.

It would be much appreciated Jakg thanks

Well just finished my first Oval race of the season, managed a 5th place in the trucks and an increase in SR (very unusual for me). Oval is fun fun fun and very very intense running door to door round the bends.

Only problem is I didn't realise the race would last so long with all the stops for cautions and what not, so I had to multitask during one of the cautions and wee in my used coffee cup....even my guinea pig was looking at me with strange disbelief....maybe I should not have mentioned that but ach well whats one meant to do when there's iRating at stake

Quote from SamH : I can draw far too many parallels to Christian evangelists, who tout that you're not a Christian if you haven't been "born again". They just leave me thinking "wanker", in the same way their equivalents in sim racing do.

I just think "if you wish to address me, first climb back out of yer own arsehole".

LOL. Almost gonna put that in my sig, but as you can see I've still got my CTRA userbars waiting for CTRA 2 "The revenge of the sim junkie" starring TBA

It's all about fun really isn't it? I'm sitting here drinking coffe smoking a cigarette with the odd word to my new best friend the gunea pig in the corner while waiting to get my asses whooped by some Southern Amercican gentlefolks at Las Vegas speedway in my pixelated truck, while picking the skin of blisters on my hand

iRacing has something like your on about built in to the game/sim (fence sitting at its best )

You have the option to turn chat of durring the races thankfully. There are also various chat rooms or you can make your own chat room with password etc. Works quite well I think.

Quote from ReverendDexter :Hola, just got a G25 not a week ago, didn't like the rFactor demo that came with it, downloaded LFS and just unlocked S2 last night.

I've done some performance driving in real life, just did my first track day a few weeks ago, have discovered I'm not as good of a driver as I liked to think, lol.

Still getting beat up pretty bad by basic AI, usually by getting spun out by the baards.

Welcome to S2. The AI are not the best mate (to say the least)...get yourself online so you can at least get spun out by real life batards

Yes mate wheels and a Cobra Daytona seat.

Also posted this on another forum maybe you guys can help me out too

I am seriously thinking about this TH2 Go.

I have at the moment a single Dell 24" 2408wfp monitor.

To keep things neat I would like to add another couple of 24" monitors but the 2408WFP's are a bit on the expensive side. They have actually gone up in price since I bought mine last year!

So if I was to go with another two less expensive Dell or other type 24" monitors do you reckon the picture would look strange across the 3 monitors due to the less contrast ratio etc of the other monitors?

Also the 2408WFP has a 1900 x 1200 natural resolution wheras the cheaper monitors I'm thinking about may not.

Am I waffling?

Should I go for another 2 x 24" monitors or would I need a superduper PC and GPU to handle this.

Or should I sell my 24" Dell and go for 3 x 22" monitors instead.

Regardless of what I do I guess I would need to upgrade my PC? I Currently have an E6750 and an 8800GTS with 4 meg RAM, a 500W power supply feeding an Asus IP35 Pro XE motherboard. Would just a Graphics upgrade do or would I need a better CPU also?

What are my best options to get value for money on a decent TH2go system is what I'm really after.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks for any advice or assistance. It would be much appreciated

I've just ordered up a Nixim Racecraft GT and an SST lightning shifter to go with my G25 and figured that what the heck lets go a bit further while I'm at it and get TH2go. Maybe in the future after I've paid for the pending divorce :P a new set of pedals will follow.

Cheers folks

This comment made me laugh on the BBC website I'm pretty sure my 14 yr old daughter thinks the same of me.

My dad is a geek, (sorry, simmer) and has been for about 8 years (A simmer for 8 years that is - he's been a geek for as long as I can remember). I do understand to a degree the enjoyment you can get out of this as it is fairly realistic, but you have to draw the line at keeping files of every flight you have done as my Dad does and staying up doing a four hour flight when most of it is on auto-pilot and you are just staring at a cockpit and a lot of sky outside. My dad tells me the weather is in real-time, but to be honest that doesn't sway me. My Dad's obsession with this game (although I can't say it's a game to my Dad or he goes crackers) and incessant drivel about its merits have put myself and my family off the flight sim forever.

Quote from StableX :when's the new wheel coming?

No wheel for now mate, nothing beats the G25 for price and the Frex is just a bitty too much. ECCI may look like a piece of art but it's not got FFB

Next on my wish list is TH2 go and another couple of 24" monitors, followed by ECCI pedals and and and and I really need to get a contract LOL.

Meeting tomorrow afternoon with Sonsub though
