It is seen so often here that new guys try and start up a new team that it becomes a laughing matter, so I can see where they are all coming from.
Good teams in LFS are very well respected by the community, here today gone tomorrow is not the way to go.
Best advice from me, for what it's worth, is to not start up your own team until you have maybe experienced LFS and the community for a while longer.
Best to just race and have some fun then you find a bunch of guys that you get on with. Then perhaps join an existing team? Get some experience and friends and then maybe think about starting a team of your own then.
All the best and have an absolutely drunken Xmas like I will be doing!
Yep they should be able to change it pronto, I used be called Lorraine as I used my wifes credit card, they changed it to my real name Susan immediately when I sent a request to customer support
I've had no problems with Novatech. They also have a support thread in http://www.nogripracing.com/ forums. Handy for asking any questions you may have.
Have you tried the Spec Racer Ford John? I'm having much fun with that at the moment, inbetween Radical races. The FFB on the SRF is really very good, I prefer it much more than the soft power steering you get with the solstice.
Funny how the Radical has become popular all of a sudden now that they have cut the schedule down to 2 days a week.
Tristan have you tried the Indy car? I really think you would like that. It's the only car in any sim that i've tried that actually gives you the feeling of speed sensation, that thing is bloody quick with excellent FFB through the G25/DFGT. I run a few laps of practice in it but am so far of the pace to run in the official races. It's a car that takes explicit dedication I think to be quick in it. The set up options are extreme, I'm surprised they haven't included adjustable torque setting for the wheel nuts!
If you want to try it or any other cars then give drop me a PM and I'll lend you my account for a bit of practice.
Actually I was lying, the DFGT is way better muhahaha
Only joking, i'm sure you won't be disapointed, congratulations on your new wheel.
I can highly recommend Leo Bodnars box of tricks and the Nixim brake mod if you want to do some improvement in the future.
Leo's box increases the resolution of the inputs and can you use the pedals as stand alone. Nixim brake mod is just a piece of rubber that adds more restance to the brake and makes it feel more like the real thing.
The DFGT is noisier though, wratchet sound is quite annoying.
The DFGT has a load of buttons which is nice
The leather on the G25 feels nicer
I have problems with the driver for the DFGT, I have to unplug the USB every bleedin time to get the 900 deg back. No such issues with the G25
The flappy paddles on the G25 are way way better than the DFGT equivelant paddle buttons.
The G25 pedals are in a different league to the DFGT's which are rubbish.
Obviously the G25 has an H-shifter and clutch pedal.
I am currently using the DFGT wheel with G25 pedals but only because I've had the G25 wheel for nearly 3 years and the fixing clamps are goosed. People have had issues with the shifter but mine is still going strong. The G25 shifter is not bad at all when you compare it to the hundred you've to pay for a bespoke shifter. I have an SST lightning shifter which is no more realistic than the G25's really.
All in all if you can afford it I would go for the G25, the price it's at right now is a steal really especially with the clutch, and combined H-shifter/sequential shifter. If you don't you'll always be wondering about the G25 pedals and shifter and what your missing!
The only advantage with the DFGT, apart from the price, is all the buttons on the wheel.
OT. You should join iRacing, not to race, just to have some fun in the forums. I would pay the subscription just to read your 'discussions' with some of your chums from across the water
Maybe i'm dyslexic? Do you have a problem with that? You picking on me because I can't spell? Or is it cos I is black (joking)
I have no time for racists or biggets myself but I also have no time for people that try to be PC because they can't think for themselves.
This is not aimed at anyone here, my point which I'm struggling to explain eloquently is that the original post was about an immigrent family living in a plush pad being paid for by UK tax payer, then all of a sudden it becomes an 'I hate Racists' thread.
Wait I'll get myself a bigger spade so I can dig a deeper hole.
Oh and the only time I have experienced extreme racism in my life is in Morocco when we had to cut our holiday short due to my wife and daughter being too scared to leave the hotel due to the abuse and even a threat we recieved from locals for being 'English bastards'. I was disgusted!
I did say racist like attitude, which is similar to prejudice
My point is I am sick of people jumping on the 'I hate racists' bandwagon. People with views that are perhaps not PC regarding the racism debate get severely jumped on always.
Am I happy about the ammount of immigrents being allowed into this country? No
Do I agree with muselim philosophy? No
Do I agree with Chritisan philosophy? No (I was christened a catholic)
Yep, I change FFB for each of the cars. What I mean with the C6R is not that the FFB is just light, even with FFB up high it just feels that the C6R steering doesn't seem to give as much intuitive response as it does with the other cars. If that makes sense.
I'm on a much needed break from simracing right now I'll give it another try when I get back into it
I unfortaunately have to agree with Spanks, I just can't get 'into' the C6R the way I would like to. The steering feels so light and it's tricky to know what the cars going to do next. Also the FOV in it, using 3 screens, is not great the view is very limited for me anyway.
Yep very true, you never see a crash in a real live professional racing event at T1. F1 for example never ever take each other out at the start of the race, no way could that ever happen because they are all top pros. :sheep:
The F4 line may teach the the racing line for offline practice. For racing online I would suggest being more aware of the cars around you rather than trying to focus on a green line. The only lines I like are white lines on a smooth surface
