I make love to LFS at least once a week. Sometimes it gets me going and sometimes it doesn't. Mostly these days, in all seriousness, I'm trying to get a better lap time in iRacing.
I don't suppose anyone can send me a half, or even a couple of joints worth? This god forsaken town that I've managed to somehow habit is as hash worthy as an elephant on a trampoline.
Looking at your stats Martijn, you were in the 4th split in your last race, if you keep winning or even finishing in the top half of the field your iRating will increase and you will then be put into the higher splits. You'll only get to see your iRating when you get to D license. I can't quite remember, but I think when your safety rating (SR) get above 4.0 you will automatically be promoted to D.
Hmmm, not good at all Dave. The yellow car ended up 3rd as well.
I watched the race and there were far too many incidents for the class of field that was driving. Unfortunately not much of an advertisment for quality sim racing TBH.
The later DWC race was top drawer though. Never mind you'll be in that next year with a bit of luck!
When I stopped worrying about SR it went back up to 4.99 (only briefly mind :tilt. Unless you're actually an unsafe driver then there should be no need to worry about SR.
I suppose for the guys needing SR to get to the next license level in a hurry then maybe it's a bit different.
I remember the good old days when we had to wait 12 weeks for promotion, non of this fast track nonsense......when men were made of steel and cars were made of wood and all that......I remember when I used to have to sim race in a cardboard box by the side of the road, after working 26hrs a day down't pit!
Quote from Steve Myers earlier today on the iRacing forums regarding the release of the Mustang and Mid Ohio
'It will not be this week. Our goal is to try and get Mid Ohio out by the end of next week. I think the Mustang is probably going to be the week after that.
Sounds like you're enjoying yourself Ashley . Being A class only means you've been there longer and are relatively safe on the track. iRating is a better judge of a drivers ability.
Before gridding for a race you can check the car numbers of each driver, car No. 1 will have the highest irating. It, for me anyway, gives a good indication of who I'm competing with in any given race. (if that makes sense?)
Just wait and see! S3 will arrive out of the blue. If I was Scawn and co. I sure would wait until I could charge more money before releasing anything else.
We paid for S2 and S2 is what we've got, why should the developers give us free updates?
Oh and on topic, LFS is not dead, infact it is quite an achievement for a game this age to have the following it does in my humble opinion.
Everyone breaks eventually Dustin, welcome along to iRacing
You need to have a shot in the Radical for serious fun. Send me a pm and I'll lend you my account for a bit so you can try any car on any track you like. Only testing mind as you are a known wrecker :P
I think the energy required to turn it back in to fresh water can be saved is the principal behind this??.....but hey we are clutching at straws with this are we not.
I'm personally sick of these environmentalist and political environmental bollocks which at the end of the day means jack shit as long as we can get oil and make a load of dosh for capatilist buggers....and spill it everywhere in the Gulf of Mexico, then spend millions and brag about how great our technology is for stopping the leaking well!!!
Whilst at the same time people are living in severe poverty all around us.!
meh it's no wonder I drink whisky from refubished water!
