Hmm just checking how much iRacing has set me back in the last 5 years. I was a bit shocked. I have listed this cost breakdown below this rambling about taking fanboyism to extremes. I must be up there with the other numpties that like throwing there cash at anything. I must surely be a fan boy extraordinary. 100% content most of which I couldn't name, let alone have ever driven hehe
In perspective though looking at the final iRacing cost >$1400 and although probably got about £6k in the sim cockpit build, put together over a few years I may add
things change and I did my real licence test and decided to do real racing.
My other mad obsession last year went like. Buy a modified WRX and took it to a track day. I confess i didn't like this car too much until I tracked it. Instant opinion change of Subaru after I tracked it, although after 2 laps only I wrecked the standard brakes. So had some rather large discs front and rear fitted along with some 6 pot callipers. New roll bars, new adjustable suspension, new wheels, I kept the tyres as tyres with less grip are more fun Also the Subaru was tune by Andy Forrest.
Then decided not to race the Subaru because I was advised that a 15k rebuild would be necessary to be competitive in that class.
So I bought cheap XR2 and ran it though a team last year. Even at this rock bottom level of motorport I was easy £1000 average a weekend meeting on for me
So in another moment of madness i bought another Car, A Radical SR3 with idea to race this until I found out a budget of around £40k would be need to be anywhere competitive in the British Championships.
Now my WRX is in bits awaiting a roll cage, My SR3 has been a ****ing nightmare and I rolled my XR2 at Knockhill and it is basically a right off, although I should be able to salvage the engine.
Anyway Because of all this I think LFS owes me around £30,000 as it was this sim that started it.....ya bastards.........Surely to **** no-one spends this sort of crap on Call of Duty! This Will be the likey cost of S3 in the year 2678
And I've now fogotten why I started writing this thread, oh yes it was to remind Dustin when he gets back the the cost of iRacing is quite simply relative. And from my experience the best value sanctioned motorsport around.
My dad was proud of me for blasting every dime I had saved on a pile of shite Wife Lorraine has a slightly different view.

Not a bad build really, more than I expected and I'm glad to see more work towards dynamic environmental conditions being introduced. And there is hope yet for Endurance lovers.
My favourite part of the build is the 'filtering' of the Kia ABS.....shit man th ABS coming on was like an earthquake in my pants!

I think 30 min open alongside the Radical may work? There are already too many series and the Radical is dead as it is unfortunately.

It's a fair statement and one that I consider myself. How about if I was a closet protectionalist? Whatever that is... I'm not Xenophobic, I am well travelled and absolutely love people of different creeds, it is so interesting to speak between nations and cultures. It is fascinating. I am not scared of other races, I am scared of us being uncontrollably being drawn towards castastopphry as a country and social bankrupsy.

No I haven't. I want to post this on forum that is not obsessed by politics. Like I said i am a noob to political debate and am interested in what people have to say that don't really give two hoots about politics!

What are your thoughts on this guys theories and policies? Is he a right wing conervative dog?, jees I've even heard him called a racist and faschist! This by people who cannot constructively argue against what he say's of course. Personally I think he is a realist.
Did you know that 3 un-elected presidents are accountable for 75% of the laws in the UK and the rest of the European Union? One of them was a communist, when he was a student, fair enough? The rest are puppets for the richest European state which is Germany. The North of Europe props up the south and it costs us North Europeans for this big time!
Does this make me racist? No doubt in some peoples eyes. I am no racist I have become a realist.
Mind you ranting like I have at the end of the day we are all going to be goosed in Europe and especially the UK with it's humongous debt that will eventually drive us into the deepest depression ever. Do your selves a favour now guys and sell your houses and remove the funds from your various accounts.
