Politics?
I'm not much of a historical follower on politics, however, recently, after some advice from a friend I listened to Nigel Farage on youtube and took an interest in politics and what is actually going on in the world.

What are your thoughts on this guys theories and policies? Is he a right wing conervative dog?, jees I've even heard him called a racist and faschist! This by people who cannot constructively argue against what he say's of course. Personally I think he is a realist.

Did you know that 3 un-elected presidents are accountable for 75% of the laws in the UK and the rest of the European Union? One of them was a communist, when he was a student, fair enough? The rest are puppets for the richest European state which is Germany. The North of Europe props up the south and it costs us North Europeans for this big time!

Does this make me racist? No doubt in some peoples eyes. I am no racist I have become a realist.

Mind you ranting like I have at the end of the day we are all going to be goosed in Europe and especially the UK with it's humongous debt that will eventually drive us into the deepest depression ever. Do your selves a favour now guys and sell your houses and remove the funds from your various accounts.

After being delusioned by the iRacing forums in which it is illegal to have free speech I wondered what my fellow sim racers think on what the heck is going on in the world?
You posted this in the wrong forums, friend.

No I haven't. I want to post this on forum that is not obsessed by politics. Like I said i am a noob to political debate and am interested in what people have to say that don't really give two hoots about politics!

Well they won't until their standard of living and social stability is taken away from them. Why would they?
Quote from AlienT. :No I haven't.

Yes you have. You should post this in the "Off-topic" forums, as this thread has nothing to do with LFS.

Edit: No problem, AlienT.

Thread was in General LFS Discussion. Consider this as a post for future notice as to why its so out of topic.

Oops, I am very sorry rosewood2 you are correct.

Please move mods, if possible.

It's a fair statement and one that I consider myself. How about if I was a closet protectionalist? Whatever that is... I'm not Xenophobic, I am well travelled and absolutely love people of different creeds, it is so interesting to speak between nations and cultures. It is fascinating. I am not scared of other races, I am scared of us being uncontrollably being drawn towards castastopphry as a country and social bankrupsy.

Pity we're too late anyway. I'm moving to Norway Have you a spare room TVE for an apparent fascist, right wing jumped up little Scotsman that is just about to go and have wonderful sex with his wife, who0 has just come in drunk, from lady's day at Musselburgh races.

Anyway.

Enjo life and keep racing ?
Ah, the classic move of telling strangers on the internet about how much sex you're having.

................ The way governments of the world are increasing their restrictions on the people should give you a clue about something. A collapse is imminent. It's going to be most notable in the Good Ol USof A and Communist China. Here in America, out gov't created a drug war. It's NOT about stopping people throwing their lives away on narcotics. It's about creating precedents to justify placing restrictions on the common man. The funny thing is, two things are happening that the powers that be either overlooked or were too arrogant to believe could happen.
The first effect is the serious drain on the economy. The government will no longer be able to support its policies. The second and maybe more dangerous of the two is Americans are being less an less concerned about government authority and continue to snub it. A government without credibility is not a government and that's where we're heading. The PRC is having similar effects from its policies. And when the collapse does finally happen in our countries the ripple effects will pretty much wipe your governments out as well.
So... So much for politics
Your best bet is to go underground, make the right connections and get a damned gun.
No. Screw that.
The government is simply too big. What revenue and resources are not purposefully embezzled or misallocated are simply lost in the sheer size of the system. The politicians have no idea for the most part where our money is going so even their best intentions are ruined from the very beginning. Obviously we cannot sustain this, much less grow it (Obamacare) so there will be a tax revolt at some point where working people decide they are not getting any return on investment of taxpayer dollars in the welfare state. When the Congress and the President can openly commit crimes of corruption that led to impeachment or prison 35 years ago they cannot be said to be a credible source of information concerning the state of the US government. They don't know. They remind us every time there is a hearing on IRS political intimidation, Benghazi, intimidation of the press, etc. they know nothing, see nothing, hear nothing. We should pay them nothing.

I find this is very enlightening on the healthcare issue: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/obamasdeal/

As for Benghazi, no doubt that is questionable as it was literally hidden from the public until JUST AFTER the elections to protect Obama. The administration stone cold lied to us about the cause, reason, etc. Instead of taking blame that hey mucked up, they blamed a stupid racist youtube video.

I thought that was all the internet was for.
No, the internet is really run by cats, they allow porn to pay for the catnip.

God damnit, I cannot look through every topic there is in looking for people to mention me in one way or another
Why moving to Norway? My place is small but if you are shit out of luck and no place to stay you could allwaya take the sofa ^^

I lied about that part though, wishful thinking on my part is not against form rules yet I hope? After 23 Years together my best days are behind me and my weapon of choice is as much used as a marshmallow these days

Probably to much information but I seem to be on an 'act like a tube' swansong at the moment, unfortuantely.

That is a very kind offer, how far is Larvic from Stavanger? Still got some friends living over there and I stayed their (well Tasta and Tananger) for a couple of years and my daughter who is now 18 used to be quite fluent in Norwegian after we sent her to barnehagge. We had no clue what she was on about but she managed fine with the other Norwegian children.

I remember getting horrible hangovers from Tau beer. But the baked potatoe vans at the end of a night out were great!

I genuinely miss Norway. You guys have a fantastic standard of life and the countryside and scenery are immense.

And No way I'm sending my 18 year daughter to crash on your sofa.
Loooooooooooool! Well I didn't knew she was that old, but as you say, that might be a little far fetched

Oh, Larvik is quite the distance from Stavanger. It should be around 5-6 hours drive, if rush hours and such you probally will have to add an hour extra when passing the city called Kristiansand. Kristiansand is somewhere about right in middle of those two destinations.

Tau Beer? Never heared about those before ;p

And yes, potato vans and kebab vans are usually shattered around frequently in the cities
Alien, unless she's 270 lbs, Tor won't be interested in her.
Don't believe that, don't trust him near any female.
Just because no one under 200kg has believed his lines in the past.........
Quote from dawesdust_12 :Alien, unless she's 270 lbs, Tor won't be interested in her.

I don't even know how to fking calculate that silly lbs system over to the superior kg system :/

To keep it simple, if she:
1: Is to fat to fit in an ordinary car, got to me moved by a truck, train, cargo plane og cargo ship
2: Need a reinforced forklift (container crane) to be moved from foodtable to sofa
3: Has a tripple neck which offers great new sexual positions

Then:

Purrrrrfect!
270 / 2.2 (Divide by 2.2 to go lbs to kg, multiply to go kg to lbs).
Not enough!
Quote from AlienT. :Nigel Farage ... What are your thoughts on this guys theories and policies? Is he a right wing conervative dog?, jees I've even heard him called a racist and faschist!

'Fascist'.

He's your average common-or-garden Little Englander with half-baked ideas about how economics work. And for someone who's so opposed to the European Union he seems quite happy for them to have paid his wages for the last three years.

Quote from AlienT. :This by people who cannot constructively argue against what he say's of course.

No apostrophe required in 'says'.

We benefit from open markets - all the cheap products that guarantee your standard of living are made in nations where the labour is cheap. When that cheap labour comes here and starts taking jobs, that's the same free market in operation. You cannot have your cake and eat it.

Quote from AlienT. :Did you know that 3 un-elected presidents are accountable for 75% of the laws in the UK and the rest of the European Union? The whole world is ****ed economically, because the global economic system is based on the promise of infinite growth, conveniently ignoring the problem that we live on a decidedly finite planet. The business of some weaker European nations going bankrupt prematurely is just a sign of what's to come for the rest of us. It would make no difference to cut them loose - it's coming to us eventually anyway.

In difficult economic times the poor always turn on each other, because that's what the rich want them to do. I remember in the late '70s and early '80s the working classes in the UK blamed immigration from the Indian subcontinent for their poverty. Was it their fault?

The problem is that our government was bought, decades ago, and it's in the hands of private interests. Take a look at how many members of the current House of Commons are independently wealthy. Coincidence?

Your representatives are not representing you, they're representing the interests of their parties, who in turn are funded by corporations. Look at what's happened recently with the proposed minimum unit prices on alcohol in England, and the proposal for plain packaging on tobacco products. Both pulled. I wonder why.

And I suggest you look at how Nigel Farage manages his own finances if you think he's any different to the current crop of crooks in Westminster.
