better read again.. i never put them down. nor would i ever do so. i have no problems whatsoever i just remarked it sounded really funny how he described it.
the best idea may be some kind of broadcaster built into lfs that allowed other computers on the network to "connect to a broadcast" that the player computer is putting out, and watch the action
i could reword this but i hope most people understand what i mean, it's too late and i cant be bothered!
Sir i think there is a slightly easier way! you just used the overhead camera which turns with the car am i right?.
instead switch to Shift-U custom cam, press V to go into overhead, and adjust the height up and the FOV. this camera will maintain a constant angle relative to the world, with the car turning and heading in other directions depending on where it is.. if you know what i mean. therefor all the pics would line up squarely
ok in all seriousness, i've never had that problem, only thing i've seen is a "closing multiplayer connection" message that can sometimes popup and never go away, forcing me to close LFS and restart it- could this be what you're experiencing?
that's by far the best suggestion i've ever heard. if LFS ever went down the motorcycle route, this could be cool. choice of an automatic sidecar partner or another player having to control the weight shift of the second person would simply rock.
problem with utes are they are quite tail happy. as it stands the XRT is quite a tail happy beast, i would hate to see a 300kw ~1500kg front heavy ute on the same physics
in my opinion truck and pickup racing is just one of those things people do because they can.. akin to lawnmower racing.
like a lawnmower, a truck or a pickup may not make a very good race car, however get enough of them together and you can surely race them against each other.
[kinda O/T] i like what the dev's have done so far- i was even thinking about the future direction of LFS as far as cars go.. i feel that once a car/track creator/editor is introduced to LFS, it's most likely the day i'll leave! why? because suddenly ideas like this will be realised by fans making the cars themselves.. but 99% likely to be done not even half as well as the devs could do it!
i managed to join the server shortly before it went down. the admin was detailing to a few of the occupants how to select the S2 cars, however i wont detail it here. if the devs or admin require to know what they said just hit me up on a pm, unless of course they are aware of how its done already.
IMO one makes sense with rhythm and the other is random. one of those debates that will never go away - too many people are set in their ways with their own systems
i wonder how many racers change their nickname regulary though? i know mine always stays the same - makes you wonder whether the nick info should be stored on LFS world, having to go there if you wanna update the nickname field.
they still could change to someone elses name but it would be just a little but more trouble to do it.
i've never seen this happen but if it's a problem for you guys that could be a solution
it doesn't seem so, but rather one source of the problem was found. so that's why i asked what happens in multiplayer if his game appears to be at double speed.
Amen Brother! I remember upon deciding to get S1 or not, i checked out various videos people had made from it and you could more than get an idea for what you were in for.
Same goes for S2, there are the ACE promotional videos and also fans are making their own excellent ones all the time.
If you want S2 content, by S2. It's 12 pounds.
what else can you get with 12pounds..........
True the sand traps aren't as savage as real life, but i reckon their current form is pretty good. However i am confused why you think the FXR shouldnt be able to get out? It's the only 4wd GTR car, if anything it should get out of the traps the fastest. Considering how much slower it laps than the other RWD GTRs - i reckon the FZR and XRR should take alot longer to get out than the FXR.
yes similar experiences here, though more often feeling helped by managing understeer by reducing the throttle.
had a few oversteer moments that for sure LFS helped - adjusting for your real car will no doubt be different to the sim, but it does help you by teaching you the basics and of course removing all the fear when understeer or oversteer takes place for real
my town has 58 roundabouts - mainly since they are so opposed to traffic lights - so you can imagine how fun that is in the rain with a 4.1L i6 in a 1650kg RWD car.
nice work, i had no idea this forum existed though until i saw some locked sections at RSC. perhaps announce it a bit better (unless i just didnt notice!!)
