aroX123, I don't think you can expect an answer using that tone in the OP. Talking about respect, Scawen has provided for excellent simracing for more than a decade. Family, house and new hobbies sometimes distract software develpers from spending the usual 16 hours a day on coding new content.

There are a few other titles to enjoy today, but if Scawen chooses to make comback with LFS and S3, I'll be the first in line to check it out. I certainly have not lost any respect for the team, on the contrary, and when you state the usual bs and refer to it as being a "community" standpont (including me), I just have to voice my opinion to disagree.

It is sad to see how so many suggest software developers should live their lives only to serv and please people playing a PC-game. Get a grip.

Quote from DratsaB :Any Assetto Racers miss the XRT?

Grab this http://www.mediafire.com/download/tfcjiqtlg0y186h/Nissan_Sil80.7z and this http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/donington-park.3031/download?version=11093

And please come on to Dead Men Racing Assetto Server (search DMR in the lobby) to have some races / set a lap time http://77.108.135.2:42223/lapstat Server is most likely to be populated around 20:00.

This car really reminds of the XRT (with a bit more power obviously) and it's a blast at Donignton, who wouldn't want to race an XRT around there? Smile Also, I don't use crap mods with bad physics etc, I have a pretty high standard. So give it a try, you won't be wasting your time, I promise. Smile

Thanks!

Looks interesting! I do have a slight problem controlling that Nissan since my input/pedals create spikes making this car fly in orbit at unwanted occasions. Smile.
Really need to dismount my G25 and do a proper cleanup/adjustment....

The Nords is indeed an experience in its own class. A milestone in simracing/driving with the AC engine.

Excellent, thanks for a great update!

Yep, that's a good representation, indeed. Although, I wish for more track designers to use more of the "dry grass" textures like the Aussie guys did. Nothing wrong with the green spring-time colors, but it seems over-represented in all tracks at the moment. Some more rough, brown and gray environments would add a bit of immersion Wink

Thanks R3DMAN, I love the F1! Will now enjoy your skin pack!
Thanks also kars19 for the heads-up on Joux Plane. Fantastic stage.

Remember LFS turning into a completely new experience as I bought my G25 (after using a crappy TM). Can't believe my G25 still rocks after 8 years of track battles Smile. Credits to Logitech and Scavier! Not to mention all the miles spent on RBR stages.

Even after years in (beta) AC and pCARS, I return to LFS.
LFS is timeless. It is always fun because it feels real. No bling needed. Good people, good racing.

Although, this Finnish game apply well for parts of Sweden as well. But taken to fulfillness, one must go to Finland Smile

Welcome to Sweden NitroNitrous!
Make sure you check up on the various track days. Can be pricey, but heaps of fun if you're in for that alternative.

I can recommend a trip to Scandinavia Wink. People here are kayak fanatics - including me. A couple of quick pics from last trip here. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/37p ... -maFPMbcoNtI-e0TuNOa?dl=0
I cant really elaborate/discuss just now as I'm sitting with a bad connection on a train going thru a tunnel every now and then.
Cheers for now...

Quote from unseen :The default damage indicator is utterly foul. There is a far less horrific one here - http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/real-display-damage-by-luc1gnol0.4736/

Nice and small, tucked away in a corner, and adjustable, as it should have been in the first place.

Thanks for the tip, just grabbed it.

Saw this some time ago. Made my day. Beer, sauna, a dirt-road and a car that wont start unless you put it together. Why didn't SMS think of that...

So I threw myself into pCARS quite early (feb 2012) and found it exiting at first. A lot of "good" talk of plans and ambitions in the forums. On the road, the first cars didn't do too bad, actually. It showed some real potential with both the car physics and dev attitude/ambition.

At some point it took a turn in the physics where I suddenly couldn't continue to like it. I went through the setups over and over again to find the sweet spot but the whole experience just felt inverted and awkward.

Then came AC. I felt at home. Just like LFS, but with a little more magic in some areas. pCARS started to collected dust, but I followed the forums.

Now, pCARS is considerably better again, and I enjoy a race every now and then, but I'd say I do 1 pCARS race for every 10 in AC. Mostly, just to check and compare if there's been any changes for the better. And now with some activity in LFS I enjoy being back on Westhill (and the other tracks). pCARS serves a lot of bling and a more complete "racing event/career experience", but for me, it's the time on the tarmac that counts and in that area both LFS and AC shines brighter. On my rig, in my brain, I should add.

Thanks Scawen,
I see what you mean, was thinking the same. Will run the 6G for now.

Btw, thanks for all the work. Looking forward to coming updates. With AC and pCars (and rF2) coming up (sorry for swearing in church), I think (and hope) LFS will do good on the wave of general increase in online-racing. LFS with its powerful netcode and customization options will prosper!

Quick question:
I have 3 potential newcomers and want to invite them via a demo-setup (to get them hooked for S2).
Is it wise to have them install 6G + 6G14 (as a demo-user) while I run the LFS_S2_DCON_6G14 (in demo-mode)?
(I don't plan to run Airio for this particular event)

I've always pointed to LFS netcode/features/solutions during the early beta of AC. Had some responses, but they took another route so it's obviously hard to go back now. I guess Scawen has spoilt us with the online experience from the very start Wink. Hopefully, some of the most pressing issues can be dealt with, otherwise we need to race AC MP with a large piece of patience in the trunk (still love it though).

^^ Yup, looks promising. Havn't had the chance to try it yet. Will be interesting to see the comparison LFS - AC eventually.

What do you mean? "Richard Burn Rally looks good despite the fact it will unlikely have continuum."

Season 2015 is full on, both off- and on-line:
RSRBR at Rallyesim.fr
Championships at Rallysimfans.hu

RBR could give you some good/cheap training. Especially pace-note training and offensive vs defensive driving etc. You do need a good wheel/pedals. RBR provides 200+ cars as well as 200+ stages, so there's plenty to choose from. Physics is quite good, but needs a bit of tweaking from time to time (depending on car/stage and your own preferences). It's THE rallysim, still.
