The 2012 Rallycross Shootout Series just finished up its third round of five on Sunday at Blackwood Rallycross Reversed. Competitors were asked to carry as much momentum as possible around the circuit in the 55 horsepower UF1. At the end of the day it was series new comer manne (emil141) of Rforce who took home the victory over fellow Fin, V.Pitkanen (Emyn), by 2.16 seconds in the 15 lap contest. New series points leader J.Dohnalik of SAVAGE SimSports finished out the podium. His teammate, M.Kapal, came home in fourth.

Nearly two weeks ago CityLiga 15 ended. It is now time to find some closing words. This little crystal jubilee went straight at the organising site without any incidents or special situations. The comission also only had to decide about one situation. The spectacle - as it should - happened purely on the track and delivered some unexpected outcomes.

The crowning of the champion is definately not such a fact, but that HoR Schuhti steps out of the circle of (prominent) favorites to capture it, was such one.

The LFS Drag Racing Championship is seeking 16 or more drivers in order to fill out a 16 participant braket. This fun event will take place on June 21, 2012 at 19:30 GMT on Realistic NASCAR Server. All participants are required to register prior to participation. Those who do not register will not be able to get the event password.

A new championship heading to LFS !

The next two weeks we will hold a season topper in the form of a class race with different type of cars on the Westhill track. As a big fan of Le mans series and endurance races I always wanted to experiment this on LFS.
The concept is to race for one hour with fast GTR and slower XFG/XRG cars on tracks at the same time. We hope to have a large number of racers online to make this event a fun and exciting evening, so why not send invites to your racing buddies ?
We will split the racers in two packs, half we be using one of the 3 GTR cars, the other half will be using XFG or XRG.

..is CityLiga 15. With the Finale on Monday the final chequered and the end of the season are already in sight.
But as empty as the picture might suggest, it won't be on the track. After the last periode of promotion and relegation the now two grids are fully filled. The Open Wheel Racing League continues its annual F1 series with an eight round championship starting this month! From 16 June onwards drivers and teams will vie for the title won last year by Pete Hopkins and Sonicrealms Racing Team B. The calendar has seen some shuffles after the Jamaican authorities failed to make the necessary upgrades to the Fern Bay circuit. Instead, a second street race has been added with the South City Chicane Route for a full 100 laps.

Several changes have been made to the rules, adopting an approach which OWRL competitors will know from the popular S2 Series.

Realistic NASCAR's Rallycross Shootout Series kicks off on Sunday, June 10, 2012 with the most popular rallycross combination in Live For Speed: XFG at BL2. All events begin at 16:00 GMT/UTC. Events will occur every other Sunday with a different car and track from the previous round.

Events will take the green flag immediately at 16:00 GMT. Rounds will not include qualifying unless more than 24 competitors attend an event. Starts will be Motocross style with a count down from 3 before the barrier will be deleted and the race is started.

For the fifth year LFSCART returns to the Live for Speed racing scene. The premier FO8 racing series features 10 Rounds this year at all Live for Speed venues, most remarkably the returns of the Jamaica 200 from Fern Bay Black and the return of Autocross in form of a 4-turn flat short track. Also this season, all road course races are 200 mile races. With the late start of the season, the fifth Kyoto 500 already is the third Round and the season finale will be in October with races still on fortnights.

Yes, it took a while, but now CityLiga has its own YouTube-Channel. As Simrace-TV and New Dimension Racing Television deliver streams in good quality, it now was time to start a Channel. Because YouTube does some good work in copressing the videos, a certain minimum resolution is important to keep the streas good looking, If you don't know, what I mean, please compare the first four CityLiga 15 races to the latest two.

A big surprise in GT2 World Series. For the first time ever in this rather young series, my3id did not achieve a pole position! In the final segment of qualifying, Tomasz Nogiec, who celebrated his birthday on the day of qualifying, had a final fast lap at the end of the segment. However after a mistake in the final chicane and major tyre contact, my3id's chance for the pole position was gone. At about the same time Isaac Price went for his final fast lap and secured a surprising and strong second place start for TeamSpeak Racing PRO. Third position goes to Team Vires PRO, who led throughout the majority of Q3.

Well, maybe "Kick-Off" overestimates the meaning of the first real numbers around the second season of GT2 World Series. However the pre-qualifying was already a knock-out round. Thirty five teams completed timed laps over the course of fourty-eight hours, consequently five teams would only make it onto the reserve list and would need to hope for a team to withdraw before the race.

After 4838 laps or a total of nearly 16.000km (9.943mi) at Blackwood Grand Prix reversed the results list saw My3id Gaming up at the top of the list.

Next month of May begins the FO8 Championship in LFSA.

Another year is upon us and, after a slower than usual start, we are back with a brand new season! This time we are taking you on a journey through the cars LFS offers, starting with the slowest and slowly working up to the big guns (although, not all the way)The name of the season is The Original LFS League - From Tortoise to Hare.

Tonight it's time for the sixth Round of CityLiga 15 and, therefore for the most unpopular rear-wheel-driven cars in the Live for Speed world have to be precisely driven around Kyoto Ring Grand Touring in order to not be sideways too often. The configuration has only 2 new corners compared to 'GP Long' but these are no easy ones. Driving the other way around, the slipstreaming battles will be decided on the break.

Last Wednesday March 28 was played the Event Demo - S2 which opens the 2012 season in LS-Argentina.
The race was contested by 10 teams consisting of pilots Demo and S2 each one, showing a driving lesson in the Blackwood track.
