Last year's Blackwood 200 was such a success last year that we have decided to return the event unchanged in the same place in the schedule. The 2012 Blackwood 200 is round 3 once again, and will take place on Sunday beginning at 16:00 GMT. Last year, a late race pass by Julien Schein on Joe Holmes on the outside in turn 3 was voted as the league race pass of 2011 by members of the LFSforum. Julien Schein would go on to win that race over Holmes by just over a second. This event takes place on the high speed Blackwood GP Track, the most popular track in Live For Speed.

This Saturday, the highly anticipated Live For Slicks series will finally begin! For those who don't know what this series is about, then let us explain: Live For Slicks is a brainchild by Revolutionary Racing (Kings brothers and Rui Pinto), and it consists in picking up the most exciting yet underrated class - TBO - and adding slick tyres to it, giving the series a closer feel to the Touring Cars of nowadays, providing the same close, high-contact racing but now with the extra grip of racing-purpose slicks!

Hello, LFS racers !

On September 29th, 2012, Angry Angus Racing will race a special pink skin in the season finale of the GT2 World Series by New Dimension Racing. The skin is designed to raise awareness for the 23,000 Canadians and the nearly 1.5 million people worldwide who will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year.

Sunday evening at 20.30 CET we have the 1st race our 10th season..
This race will be held at Fern Bay green in reverse configuration (FE2R)
Car to drive this first race is the MRT.
We have 4 races of 10 laps with forced pitstop !!

29 September will be the start of a new S2 Season in the Open Wheel Racing League. Once more the popular series returns, this time using thee formula cars (FBM, FOX and FO8) over the course of the six events that make up the season. Races are bi-weekly on Saturdays with the championship hopefully being decided at the final round on 8 December.

The season uses each of the three cars for two rounds in succession, one at a regular LFS track and one at an open layout.

Next Saturday the 15th of September, we will head to BL1 for our first test round. Anyone is welcome to come, even if you're not signed up. You do, however, need to confirm for the event in the Confirmations thread.

Do keep in mind that R1 tyres are only allowed for Qualifying. For the race you can feel free to use any tyre compound from R2 to R4. Hell, you can go crazy with those compounds. But please don't forget to give us some feedback out of your tyre choices after the race, as it is very important for us to understand the slick tyres' behaviour with the TBO group.

If days start shortening and the kids are all back to school.in Europe this means only one thing ...A new Liveforspeed.be season is on it's way .And this time it is a special one as we start and celebrate our 10th Season !!!!
So we are very proud we could keep it up this long. But there are reasons for that..
And this is because we do have a good reputation of clean races.No fooling around, as those racers are banned on the spot !
We also have our Safety Car procedure to keep a high number of racers on track and bring back the action.

The ETCC league is a Large league setup to get teams together and compet for the ETCC title. We hope that this league will bring the best LFS drivers and teams together, so people have fun and get involved with other teams on LFS. The league event will start in October, there will be 6 races before Christmas when we will have a break, come back half way through January to finish the last 10 races of the league. More information about the league will be posted soon. If you have any questions please post on our forum.

The sixteenth season just started and the increased number of internationals and many well sounding names from the Germen scene promises the season to be exciting. Thee CityLiga champions are on the grid, but one may question if they really are able to add another title. The competition is hard. The races will be tight and demanding. Over 100 drivers signed up for the season.

The World TBO Championship Series is all set and ready to tackle this 2nd season of unforgettable racing action starting with the Kyoto 225 on the first Sunday in September! This year's schedule includes six events, each of which are three weeks apart at 16:00 GMT on Realistic NASCAR Server. All events once again this year fall on Sunday and promise to bring even more excitement and high quality racing action this year than last with improved rules and a strong field of competitors!

The first important phase of the new CityLiga season is completed and all competitors can now cool down a bit. But one does not have too much time as next Monday kicks off the season in South City. Training for this might be required.
After an eventful closing day of the Grid Qualification. we can announce the grid sizes: CL16 will feature three grids of 29 drivers and a small waiting list due to the currently 98 signed up racers.

2012 World TBO Championship Series Registration Opened to the General Public

Registration opened to the general public today for the 2012 World TBO Championship Series. This will be our second season of competition. Last year was a great success, and we look to build on it for this year. Restrictions will remain the same, the admins will largely remain the same, and the cars will remain the same, but that's where most of the similarities stop.

After long waiting it begins. The 16th S2 season of CityLiga. The biggest German-based Live for Speed league features 9 different car-track-combinations. Like in the past years mondays are reserved for CityLiga every fortnight.
CityLiga is for everyone: fast or slow, long LFS member or beginner. The important point is to enjoy a fair competition. With the large number of drivers entering CityLiga there is competition for everyone.

The 2012 Rallycross Shootout Series just finished up its third round of five on Sunday at Blackwood Rallycross Reversed. Competitors were asked to carry as much momentum as possible around the circuit in the 55 horsepower UF1. At the end of the day it was series new comer manne (emil141) of Rforce who took home the victory over fellow Fin, V.Pitkanen (Emyn), by 2.16 seconds in the 15 lap contest. New series points leader J.Dohnalik of SAVAGE SimSports finished out the podium. His teammate, M.Kapal, came home in fourth.

Nearly two weeks ago CityLiga 15 ended. It is now time to find some closing words. This little crystal jubilee went straight at the organising site without any incidents or special situations. The comission also only had to decide about one situation. The spectacle - as it should - happened purely on the track and delivered some unexpected outcomes.

The crowning of the champion is definately not such a fact, but that HoR Schuhti steps out of the circle of (prominent) favorites to capture it, was such one.

The LFS Drag Racing Championship is seeking 16 or more drivers in order to fill out a 16 participant braket. This fun event will take place on June 21, 2012 at 19:30 GMT on Realistic NASCAR Server. All participants are required to register prior to participation. Those who do not register will not be able to get the event password.

A new championship heading to LFS !

This is a weekly championship held every saturday at 8pm GMT , It is fairly simple to participate , you dont need to be a DMR member , all you have to do is join up on our website link below>

The next two weeks we will hold a season topper in the form of a class race with different type of cars on the Westhill track. As a big fan of Le mans series and endurance races I always wanted to experiment this on LFS.
The concept is to race for one hour with fast GTR and slower XFG/XRG cars on tracks at the same time. We hope to have a large number of racers online to make this event a fun and exciting evening, so why not send invites to your racing buddies ?
We will split the racers in two packs, half we be using one of the 3 GTR cars, the other half will be using XFG or XRG.

..is CityLiga 15. With the Finale on Monday the final chequered and the end of the season are already in sight.
But as empty as the picture might suggest, it won't be on the track. After the last periode of promotion and relegation the now two grids are fully filled. How many of the 59 drivers are starting and how they deal with the three (hopefully well balanced) cars of the TBO Class you will see on one of the two (!) Livestreams.
