^^^ Just change it to Chromo_Plain (the blank one), as it doesn't leave that annoying darker streak along the sidewalls... Unless that's another DDS file doing that to me. xD
i noticed in your pack, you forgot to remove the LOGOALPHA.DDS ( That the file that change the tyre sidewall brands ) so anyone be carefull becuase also change de tyres sidewalls
Had a thought for skin maps - shine/specular mapping. Jpgs can do 4 channels in CMYK; lfs uses RGB, so only 3 of them. Dds file may only handle 3. But one more channel is only another 8 bits per pixel... Addition of alpha channel for controlling amount of shine/reflection would add layer of realism to weathering.
Possible use of targa format (inbuilt alpha channel + RGB)?
I haven't got much on this weekend, so I'll give it a go. You'll have to turn all the shinyness settings down in your lfs config for it to look any good but. Shiny doesn't look good on rust...
Something to add to the Dev request thread: shine/specular mapping. Jpgs can do 4 channels; lfs uses 3 of them. Dds file may only handle 3. But one more channel is only another 8 bits per pixel...
Well... as Martin says, this situation is possible. Perhaps 5 or 10 frames can be down.
Thanks.
I have a very poor specs on my PC.
1gb RAM. Intel Core 2CPU 6320 @ and 1,86 GHZ x 2.
Ati Radeon Sapphire x1550
Photoshop 7.0 from 2002.
These are my working tools.
By this reason I can't work with 4096 x 4096 dds files. My limit is 2048 x 2048.
I only can talk about my passion for this work to my favour.
Hahahahaha.
Hard?
Yeah, very hard because it needs to work from scratch again to make a good compatibility with Blackwood. Hehehehehe. Don't worry. Maybe Blackwood is the next for the next RP. I do not mean about 2nd addon. The 2nd addon will be a car.
Noted.
Thanks to you for your interest and comment.
C.A.R.S. Pixar's movie?
Cheers.
I have published the last pic with more size on the RP's Blog with new comments.
Here is my texture for the XRR sequential shifter knob'. Unofrtunately, the "stock" LFS texture for this part of the car is very low-res. Therefore I tried to make a higher quality stuff.
I've used this picture for the lever: (btw. it is a high-end shimano xtr mtb brake lever )
FYI, technically you can advertise in LFS. The only problem is, everyone has to download the DDS files you make your advertisements on. If I am not mistaken.
FYI, there's no DDS file for the visor.
neither does renaming to HEL_smthALPHA.dds and making the visor transparent in the skinfile work.
the image you posted is a mod.
nnHello,
today I've tried to do some textures This is my first attempt in dds editing, so ... don't criticize too much Maybe its not the best, but its far better than original
Here is preview
pic upper is using my textures, down original
Me too, Hahaha. But this is the first track that the people suggested to me to improve it.
And, the most important, there are some bridges, walls and land. I hope this can enjoyable. I mean to edit all the files in this track.
So I need help from the people. I need to know if someone can help me for send me the list of all files of this track. If is possible to know it and edit them.
Anyway, I will try to convert the dds file on a gif. Maybe the spectators can be move.
I'm not so Fern Bay guy, think we already got some high res textures for FE, but when you done this pack it will be even better
I wanned to suggest to maybe make high resolution crowd, e.g. "CrowdsitATEST.dds". I'm bored of that high pixelated people looking at me, maybe using even something like 4096x4096 pixels. That can't be so hard, just go to facebook and download photos from some chicks
Also can you take a look at the fence at BL1 near turn 1 (pit exit), this is embarrassing low resolution
Photographed some curbs during my holiday in Morocco last year and now publishing this little texture for you all folks.
Its really easy to photoshop it to different colors. Enjoy and would like to be nice get some feedback
