Well if you want to start one, make a decision!!! What is there to figure out? You keep saying you are undecided.... lets get this show on the road so we can get plenty of sign-ups.
Why are you even using the profiler?? There is NO use for it! You don't need profiles, the application just causes more trouble than you think it does good.
Using 64-bit XP here, and virtually 90% of any drivers/software I download will work, even if they don't support 64-bit OS.
Couple nights ago I actually had my first go at Forza 2 online... (on a 108" display at 1080p )
Aside from the tuner noobs that always want to drag race on Nord's long straight (lol), the netcode was quite good and racing wasn't so bad.
Pretty good broadcast footage here, great to watch. Except it is quite clear most people need wheels . I could never find a serious race on Xbox Live, so this is cool to see, and I wish I were there to race against you all .
I dunno what it is, but uncontrollable laughter kicks in when I watch this.... like when in old school 80's movies where a team wins a championship.... hahahahah.
I found that in my early S1 days, I was getting better and better in the MRT, up to a point where winning was all I wanted to do. But now, there is a newer generation of LFS drivers each year, and in S2 good competition is so rare I find. There aren't many drivers that are at my level of pace, and very few that are faster than me because they all only play in leagues -- uber pros. So lately I've been quite bored with some car classes because there are too many people that don't want to (or can't) have a good race , or they're off cruising .
It's fun when I do get a good race with someone though. Otherwise, winning all the time, or having huge gaps between podium finishers is pretty lame
I'd have to say the competitor's poor consistency is a big problem 90% of the time.
Also some mopeds are prone to a lot of carbon build up inside the exhaust pipe... specifically in the catalytic converter. It kind of looks like a clogged artery so to speak, and it will greatly decrease your power. But I am convinced your bike is screwed up because of the actual engine changes.
Still, this is something to look out for. I had 2 mopeds that had this problem, both 2-stroke which are pretty messy. As a temporary fix, draining the whole pipe with paint thinner will dissolve most of the build up, but it's never better than a brand new pipe.
Dunno if it has been mentioned before, but how big are the paddle shifters on the wheel? Sod the stupid shifter, paddles shifters is what makes you fast. So are they tiny little things, or wide enough to fit 3 fingers on them?
However, that is hotlinking, and I don't think Victor wants to have people doing that.
Besides, the avatar URL will change each time he uploads a new one, because the URL is unique each time. I don't see why he can't upload the avatar himself on the other forum, or on Imageshack (using the direct-link URL after you upload) for example. All very easy.
Well I don't care, March is just another brainwashed "realism" pundit anyways.
It doesn't take good English to understand a usability flaw in a video game.
What pisses me off and drives me up a wall is the passionate players who suggest great things that would indeed improve LFS... then for their suggestions to be downplayed and disregarded by tons of other LFS players who seemingly don't want LFS to change at all. Like nothing can be made better of LFS. Such people need to really open their eyes and realize what people expect more of in LFS, and in how many areas LFS could improve. If we just carry on and continue forgetting about these improvement suggestions, there's a high likelihood that the devs are reading and seeing it is a much lower priority altogether. And trust me, the devs read A LOT.
Lets all just be completely blind and totally disregard an improvement suggestion and go about our way by having to switch an option to completely remove the steering wheel in order to see what gear you are in? Are we seriously THAT reluctant to have this game improved?
Gimme a break. I'd rather not want to see LFS be the same old piss crap where we have to use workarounds to get rid of a blatant poor design. Isn't it clear enough that people want to see LFS improved, and not have people muddling around with options to make things 'appear fixed' ?
And the last thing you lot can say is "I prefer not to show the arms" Yes, and?
I just knew someone would mention that, especially you. Hopefully you will grow up to be part of Ajp & Deggis' realism squad.
But I don't care if they aren't turning their wheel 2 full rotations, fact is, I care to see actual steering movement than nothing at all. It is quite easy to analyze someone's driving and their setup if you just watch how they steer the car. Oversteer is very easily seen at any rate of countersteering at the wheel, I don't see how that proves my idea wrong.
And you shouldn't have to remove the steering wheel/hands to see the gear indicator. "How is that realistic?"
Ahh yes here it is.... lemme just turn off driver names so I can see roadsigns Bill!!!
If you're going to come up with more asinine ways to completely ruin a video game's usability features, feel free to make a list, it is all quite laughable how you think people will conform to your own views of how-to play this game. Let's all just turn off our wheels guys, come on!!! March is leading a revolution here!!! I never knew real racecars have hidden gear indicators that the drivers cannot see, so they have to forget about steering the car with their hands/arms, and remove the steering wheel completely just to see it!!! WOW!
