Great GIFs there, now I see how he damaged his wing, thanks

Try Gallery or Coppermine. Both are best of personal online galleries, with loads of features.

Or you could even use a Flickr photostream port and run that through to your website, which is also another popular of way of showing photos.

Hmmm there definitely was a broken front wing on Hamilton's car before he hit Alonso... was sort of flopping around on the left side:

http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2008/4/7615.html. You can see it raise up from not having any downforce, and Hamilton's steering turned pretty hard to the right, but no change.

I think he was crossed over by a Williams car on T1 at the start, as seen here:

[EDIT] nm, that is a RBR, didn't hit him.

What I mean by "reading it wrong", is that I think they are thinking it is a trick question, but in fact it is a perfectly normal and clear question. Anyways, we'll see if people can get it right .

Good bonus question. I am pretty sure I got it now , and pretty sure people are reading it wrong, or need to do more research

I sooo wish I were Hamilton right now. I grew up loving that exact McLaren.

Played some GT5, controller and also wheel...., still same old driving physics and HORRIBLE sounds that I don't like. Forza 2 is still the gold standard of a console driving simulation, hands down. I don't see how one could argue GT5 is better for driving, it just isn't good at all, and the feel hasn't even evolved from GT4 which is a big tell-tale sign that not much has changed, or Polyphony has no desire to make it better. A shame.

However, GT5 wins with good looks, that's about it. And that about sums GT5 up.

Quote from tristancliffe :Bloody Hell. Get out of bed the wrong side?

Not at all, and I was quite thrilled to see such a stubborn remark to a suggestion we could've had 5 years ago.

Quote from tristancliffe :Whilst I'd love Erics work to be unvealed soon, I'm still someone who'd prefer the physics simulation aspects to be improved more first - mainly aerodynamics to be honest, but a few other things too. I don't give a monkey's if the steering wheels are shared - that can wait for all I care.

Being such a regular around here, I'd think you'd know by now that what Eric has to work on has nothing to do with priority of developing physics. Scawen does the physics, how on earth does Eric's work interfere with that or delay anything? Physics don't need to be done first, they can be done at the same time as what Eric is doing. I really don't understand why people think these things need to be taking turns, and somehow think Eric shouldn't be doing his job while Scawen does his. Which is pretty much just what you've asked for, a 1 man dev team, fantastic.

I am kind of hoping Glock will do good this year. So far, it is pretty bad looking A shame, he has potential.

Personally, I think it is just a matter of being behind someone, period. It's always evident that when you have a car in front of you, your laptimes are hurt... you cannot focus on being faster on your own line/method, etc.

Being unable to pass is just common. I personally like it because the drivers get a little anxious to pass the longer they are held up, and some daring moves are made.

This rain looks really hard though, I wonder if the race will even commence.

The bonus question definitely helped. But I still have not been able to buy a better car . Bad start for me.

Quote from tristancliffe :Where is the "I really don't care at this stage of development" option? Surely there'd be hundreds of votes for that one?

Wait a minute...

WHAT stage of development? Because as far as I can see, thinking you are going to get some miracle out of Scawen is an oversight. Even more-so, the more we disagree with something to be made by Eric (like these wheels), what else should we care about then? What ever happened to wanting interiors done by him?
Quote from tristancliffe :Yes, dirty windscreenms and that sort of thing are lovely, and I doubt anyone would say no to them (as long as they aren't done instead of cockpit interiors ).

Quote from tristancliffe :I'm hoping Erics work from the last few months will make it into the next patch (W)

Quote from tristancliffe :We don't have the best interiors. YET

Quote from tristancliffe :And Eric IS working on better cockpits, I guarantee it.

Quote from tristancliffe :One has to imagine that Eric has a huge amount of stuff on his harddrive waiting for the right moment to get put in LFS.

Updated models, more track environments, better interiors, higher resolution textures, and that sort of thing. I mean, what else has he done for the last few years, other than the odd update to a few tracks (which I'm sure took a while, but still...).

If Eric reads this, then please go overboard and add a bit of content and update a few things, as well as offering a high-res texture download - you know you want to!

WOW really?

So you don't care? These things date back a few years. Stop being a hypocrite fanboy.

Quote from Töki (HUN) :Do not buy it! Save your money to something else

Like what?

There really isn't any other racing sim that has as much to do as rFactor at the moment.

Why setup all the stupid proxies?

Just remote into your computer at school with mstsc or other service, and violla, you're on your own PC, and can have all the fun you want

Your home IP is surely not blocked. If the school computer is super-restricted with 'safe' software, it is still possible to get a remote connection by other means.

I say yes.

Recently LFS has been quite repetitive/monotonous and while it IS good for going to go race online and get a lot of fun races done in one night, I personally don't think it is improving with regards to it's aging ability. In other words, it is same old stuff every night, and while you may find it fun once in a while, it is good to take a break and try some other sims.

rFactor has quite a good atmosphere for modability and options. Things get VERY rough online and completing a race takes a long time with the session system (practice 1, qualifying, warmup, then race). There aren't lots of competitive drivers out there in rFactor, because they all do leagues, but I think you'll find it is alright for a start.

To me, rFactor is something I feel like playing in my off-time, to try some mod, some car, or a fancy track.... all usually offline. If I play online the choices of games to join are very low because there will be about 75% of servers that are using mods you don't have, or have no desire to play in (eg some redneck dirt oval mod, or some special mod you've never heard of). The usual choice of a server is with the Renault Megane, Porsche Supercup 2007, and maybe the F3 Euroseries mod. Even then, your choices are slim with those mods, only about 3-5 servers that will be worth joining.

Overall? You'll find some difficulties with the game here and there, but I bought it to try something new, and to have options when I don't feel like playing LFS. It's nice to have, and always nice to play around with.

If LFS could get the ball rolling on making substantial changes to the game, maybe then I wouldn't be talking about rFactor period. Because the current build of S2 still feels 3 years old to me. Get rFactor, and you'll wonder why a lot of things aren't made in LFS like they are in rFactor.

I just have to say that the 3 guys on podium are so refreshing to see. Those are the true stars of F1 in my opinion, and been waiting so long to see Williams and BMW get a well earned podium. A shame Kubica couldn't be up there with them .

Why didn't I win this bet?

"Will Glock beat Trulli?"

I said Yes, and it says I got it wrong? Glock clearly did more laps than Trulli and had a higher finishing spot, but neither finished the race. Did Glock have to finish the race?

Or is that a question for qualifying?

Nah it was Flying Lizard.

However, Risi did drive really dirty last year at Sebring, pushing Flying Lizard wide on the last corner to cross the line first. I am just glad Risi crashed. Flying Lizard should've won last season.

I don't know why, but I have this god awful feeling someone is going to get in a bad accident [possibly fatal] by way of sliding out of control with the lack of TC... and yet again there would be rules in place to change the sport.

I just love watching these cars slide and go off track, I really wonder just how long it will last .

I got the pole bet, but now my hopes for Glock doing well in my team are slim... he has the gearbox penalty
