well thanks guys for acknowledging that I have some valid points, and I do realize that some of you dont agree with me. for the guys that watched that video, it did have assists on, because the cars dont handle like that with it in simulation mode, and no steering help. I also turn off all acs (stability) and no TCS, and I am so amazed with it, when my roommate comes home with a digital camera, ill get him to record me while playing it on a g25, and ill show you how the over and understeers is, also the smile on my face as well.

I know that when I bought this game i was investing in it, not buying a full game, but that was 2 years ago, and it hasnt come very far since then, even investors even High risk investors like to see some progress or regression sure some patches have been rolled out. but in todays market, thats just too long, and the graphics are inexcusable for the level of technology we have, it should be DX10 capable by now even just DX9 would be great.GFX like (and i do mean like not the actual game here) Need for speed underground 2 or similar should be the level most games should be at. I do commend the devs for finally getting AA and AF into the game, although it offers nothing really with the current engine which suggest this is the start of a GFX revamp, and I really hope so guys.

to all the guys that like to be rude and mean, you are of course entitled to your own opinion, and I know you are all hardcore devoted fans to LFS, and I commend you for sticking up for the devs and the game, but comon you must admit your frustrated with the current offering.

someone said that if the devs released a new S3, and I would be upset that I would pay another 30 pounds, well no I wouldnt I would have no issues about giving the guys some extra cash to keep it going, and im sure it would be worth it (S3)

and as i said australia has next to noone racing anymore, I have to race on UK, USA servers all the time with +200 pings, unless i wana drift then its a diff story.

as i said LFS is going on my top shelf of games, only the best of games go on the top shelf, and they can be brought down to be re visited especially if there is a patch.

Hi everyone I trust you all had a good easter holidays.

I wana say 1 thing GT5 ROCKS, I plugged my G25 in , put it in simulation mode, force feedback to heavy mode, and no steering assist. and the handling is just breathtaking, I hate to say it. Better then LFS, Rfactor, GTR, its seriously farking good. over and understeer is felt, each car is unique. The game is brilliant. now that a game has came out rivaling LFS's handling, it also pisses all over the GFX. (not hard to do) and im afraid to say it its a total package.

This shows what is capable by 1 man who commandears help from people that can help, this is how a game should be made, by a group of people being guided by the creator. it took the owner of this game 1 year to get GT5 prolouge out, it has 60 cars, and 5 tracks, +reverse, and also different configs of those tracks. I guess im just saying that when you look at LFS's progress, even for a part time game, and less manpower, LFS should be finished by now.

now that I have had some time to play LFS with the G25, and also GT HD I have realized the Sony has got thier act together, and now shits all over the handling engine of Rfactor, GTR, Toca, even LFS (yes im afraid) its just poetry in motion. it offers great feautres, tv stations, download channels with various motoring magazine DVD's, Best motoring D1 Drift series.GT5 is released here in 1 more day, and already the guys that do have it, have thrown away their LFS licence, the game that failed them, that took thier money but offered little to no improvments over 2 years. the GT5 team in 1 year, rediesigned, added 60 cars, 15 tracks/combos/ variations, called it a demo. and is just brilliant., IN ONE YEAR.

in December the full version comes out, and will be on time as well. will feature 600 cars, 30 odd tracks,garage, excelent graphics, excelent sounds, also cars will be added each month as they are finished making them, creating non stop, never boring gameplay.

so after all that I am forced , to put my LFS gloves, and my licence on my top shelf, with games like Doom3, Need for speed franchises Games, Battlefield Franchise games, Half life1,2, Counter strike. all of those have been shelved because something better has come along.and is here to stay, with its constant updating, not 6-12 months gap with no communication, each week there is a coming up feature of GT5. No developers saying youll get it when u get it type mentality, at GT5 you are treated like a king, and given exclusive access into the GT world. ANd I like what I see.

So Scawen, Victor, and fellow Sim enthusiest, I just wana say thanks for a great game, and entertaining me for the past 2 years, sure I have been frustrated with LFS's direction and growth. But I admitt it LFS was there when I was bored LFS was there when I wanted to race
LFS was there anytime I felt like racing,
LFS, Victor, Scawen you have been great I will miss the you all.

this is to the devs and I hope you listen to this as this is my final messege on here. Please treat your customers with much more respect, tell them whats going on, employ more help from experienced people that can help you get this game where it should be, it should have DX10 GFX, real sounds, and real tyre physics.
Please Please keep the community informed, all the time, and most of all be honest about your intentions/ mentality/ strategy/ ambitions for this game, because all of those have been lost. I didnt know what LFS was, or was going to be, nor did anyone else, and I can say that in my country Australia that showed with a massive user drop to almost zero, all that was available was drift servers, no racers, they were bored and fed up with LFS and still are.

guys you have my account details keep me on the mail list for when you make improvments I want to follow the game,who knows in 2050 when you finish the game, it may actually be worth the 30 pounds I Payed for.

what do you mean by cheating, like using the lfs tweaker? or are they modifying the code?? I didnt think you could cheat on lfs, if something isnt the same as the server u get kicked.

this would be a good time for the devs to start looking at punkbuster, getting that implemented would fix all these clowns, and if they chose not to install punkbuster on their server, they wont be classed as offical server, and be banned . its simple really u cheat you are exiled, ur server and your licence

all I can say is finally the rest of the community is agreeing with what I was being flamed for 12 months ago.
of course development is going to be slow with 3 semi commited creators, I mean not working 100% on this game. 24/7, I dont mean anything bad from this

I think the worst thing was all the promised updates with the latest patch was just all thrown away for an addition of a new car FB, and really the car has no place in LFS, its useless, the FOX is only a smidge faster, and they are both a good battle between eachother, the clucth is useless on it, even just normal racing burns it out.

also there is so much talent on this site, there are awesome skinners, and the high res tracks, and details, those people should be asked to help desing new tracks, and I dont even need to ask them, I know they would love to do it.

the game could improve so so much with the help of some experienced fans. it would speed up development by 300%.
Victor keeps saying we dont want more ppl, because then it wont be built the way we want it built, thats just an excuse really, because in the end he will have the final say, he will say what goes and what stays

I dont know why extra talent hasnt been recruited, the two things I could think of is they are just lazy, or its not a priority for them, and I dont mean this in a bad way, its that they are not consumed by this game, they want to keep this as a hobby not a full time job so to speak, I understand that, but as i said , ask for some volunteers that are experienced, in skinnning, maps, tracks, they can help you guys, the development can continue, you guys can keep the hours down on the development and just have the final say, compiling part to do.

what ever happens things need to be moved forward, you have GT5 out in a months time, which promises to be better the GT4, and if it is alot of people will leave LFS behind if the phisics are improved then thats all people will want, thats the only thing that needed improving was phisics, Iracing is also close, and with the cost involved, im guessing this will be a very very high quality Sim, if thats the case the choice will be easy, LFS wil lbe left behind, then the team will have to play catchup to get them back, thats when weird, risky decisions will be made, development wil be rushed, then the game will suffer, ive seen it way too many times in the MOD world

please LFS commendear us to help you, Im sick of clicking multiplayer, and seeing no race servers, or 1 or 2 people in them, and then being forced to click drift server:banghead:

if its a triptronic, then using the triptronic or sport mode, instead of just using the auto mode,
its fine, they use solinoids to shift the gears, and also its not like an old school auto box, the sequential boxes use clutches like a manual, when you are in first gear, the clutch is already on in 2nd, when u are in 2nd the 3rd gear clutch activates, waiting for the solinoid to be activated.
1,3,5 use the same clutch, and 2,4,R has its own clutch so when the solinoid activates to shift the gear the clutch engadges, thats not how the old school auto gearboxes work.

they are designed to be used in the way they are made, but your dad is right talking about old old auto gearboxes using 1,2,3, D in old boxes to screw up the tranny, unless u install a manual shift kit in them.

when the car oversteers id like the wheel to spin if i let go, thats natural in all cars, but it doesnt happen in lfs

most front wheel drive racing cars, use a smaller rim on the rear to help stabilize the car, thats what this does, becasue u cant change rim/ tyre width, you have to use a different compund tire to suit ur style

when i open the bmw FB02, it says runtime error 383 text property is read only and closes the program, this is 3.10

rim size was the best , you could pimp outthe XRt on 20's , would handl a lot better as well, you could make it a 6 speed tranny

you have missed something, the LFS WAS great, that is what you have missed.
the game has goten to old, with minmal updates, and egotistical developers, that dont keep the community interested, wait for GT5 or a better game for PC
LFS is DEAD unless it gets a gFX update, and some revised engine sounds that sound like cars, and a better tire and phisics update, and a.. well the list goes on people have been waiting years for it to improve and its hit a wall unfortuantly

I just got the beta, and I must say if this gets any momentum, LFS is in real trouble, already beta, the GFX are fantastic, and the handling is pretty darn good,

the cars are tunable, but i dont know if u can set them up like spring rate ect yet i havent got that far into it yet, but I will over newxt few weeks

im disapointed with the patch, all the stuff planed for this patch was put aside to make a POS open wheeler that has noplace in lfs, there already is a low powered open weeler

so because bmw said to, you made another car and didnt fix anything that really needed fixing, the clutch is ok for the road cars, but the open wheelers and GTr's it burns out to quick imo. the tires should last longer not less

Microsoft are working to have games multiplatform, so that all people no matter what platform they have can still play the same game online, thats gana be awesome, I think xbox live is a rip off, and no servers are provided, i mean its run by the community, I would understand if Micro soft provided servers, and local, internation ones, and voice comms, Id be prepared to pay the 10 buks a month, but they are just ripping ppl off.

I run as much as I can, to do this, I set it to 2.5 live camber, thats not the camber u added but the toal camber that is on the tyre (big difference)

I go out on a few laps like that, and I watch the tyre load while cornering, if during the corner I see the outside bar go right up that means your loosing tyrte contact patch, and not utilizine all of the tire.
so u add a bit more until its right
usually during a big corner u want the bars to be all the same exactly as possible, that means your getting optimum contact patch on the road.

then you need to run some laps like that to see how the tyre responds to it, (temp) remember even if the surface gets hot (red), it doesnt mean ur frying the tires, you want the whole tyre to be light blue/green to be optimum, if you are frying the tyres, adjust your springs, dampers and downforce, and tyre pressures (increase tyre pressure to help keep them cooler) but grip less , and the more pressure u add the more the middle of the tire will contact more so watch out for that. to relieve some strain off the tires, and find a happy medium

the F1 needs to be a simulation more, the TC needs to be changed to low speed and high speed TC, the diff needs to be adjusted wile racing, so does the TC, and it needs remodeled tyres as the standard ones dont work at all, and engine braking needs low and high speed settings, also adjust while racing

im just saying its a junior car, and really doesnt have a place in lfs, there is allready a underpowered open wheeler (fox) then a GP2/f3000 (F08) and then the F1, I would of preferd the caparo T1, or the one with the hyabusa engine (forget the name)

or time better spent on GFX which is the most lacking part of lfs now

im glad there are updates, but just not in the places I would of liked

there are some minor physics changes which I will welcome, and also some tyre phsX so will see if that improves the tyre wear, especially in the F1 car, the tyres are all wrong in that

its a POS i checked the specs its only 140hp , so its more boring then the fox, nice work lfs a waste of good develoopment time

what are you talking about, during the week, there are at the most 20-30 servers worldwide that even have people in them, used to be 100 at least a year ago
in australia no servers at all are running 50% of the time


THe video looks great, it looks like you had fun there scawen, but Im wanting to question the fact that this is really just a similar car to the FOX and underpowered single seater, im sure you got a lot of money for doing the car and adding it to the sim, so I understand why you put everything on hold, but I dont see its place in LFS, its just another FOX, I would of rathered the F108 from BMW, or the caparo T1, a new track, something unique, unless this open wheeler is 700hp and super fun to drive then its no diff from fox, sorry to be a buz killer but its true

I personally think this is the one part of lfs that is behind the rest, i mean the phisics, handling, and playability is at a decent level yet we have gfx from the 1980's that rival frogger and asteroids

thats a pretty old system, so upgrade, I mean the game will have adjustable quality, so its up to you, but I think its unfair to say dont improve the graphics becasue I have no money, seriously???

all you will need is a better GFX card, maybe change cpu later, but the 754 amd's are pretty good
