you make a good qoute here and it is that there is only 3 people developing it, a fan base with skills to contribute but they wont embrase it, really LFS's development could be alot faster , if they took on a few volunteers

there are heaps of tracks, but as the OP said they are boring and just played to death. also believe aston tracks are the best, but I have an issue with the curbing its too unreliable, some u can ride , others if u ride the car goes spastic and just goes all retarded, im not talking about diff tracks, im talking in different sectors of the same tracks

bob before the latest version I prefered the one before it, in regards to the gearing analysis, you had the blue line for torque peak, green for HP peak and red for redline, now you only have the HP peak, or can I add the others somehow???

also when im adjusting the final gear say 6th in most, if ots .95 , and I want to change it to 1.0

when I change it it flips out, changing them all to .5, kinda weird to explain, if I can find fraps ill record it to show u what its doing, also is it possible to get the picture of the car, like in the pits of LFS so we can check sill rake ect,
the program is great, just minute improvments and it can only get better BOB thanks for making the program,

ppl dont relize that to make a program like this u have to be intimate with cars, how suspension, dampers, gearing. downforce all works, someone capable of this is at a engineer level, and should apply to ferrari for a job

for all u guys getting this files is missing dependecies or similar issues with this file, right click on the executable, of this program, run as admin, and its fine after that

bob have my babies :P this is a awesome peice of software, and has help me get faster and set the car upa lot better, it should be integrated with LFS down the line, next just need a realtime data logging sort of thing to go with it

also for flyby 3d, this program is quite cpu intensive its simulating ,and working out a lot of calculations, so yea, have lfs in garage

now bob, can do live telemetry and integrate it with this program, that will be awesome then bob

I just think it would be really cool and REALLY handy to be able to change these settings whilst racing instead of having to compromise the setup to suit the car for the start of the race or for the last stint.

the BF1 needs a lot of things, like real settings that the sauber has, like low speed traction controll, high speed TC, diff settings (real life u can adjust the diff) fuel mode, gear shift speed, ohh the possibilites, and I would by a F1 wheel just for those settings, I hope a company develops a F1 wheel, like with all the dials ect, you could have any team u wanted ferrari, bmw anything, sorry my imagination is getting ahead of me ill go back to dreaming

this would be awesome, a lot would have to be done, a championship mode, where 2 cars are run by a director that sees all the telemetry
now that would be getting full on, and I like it, get to work LFS

thanks bob, the only issue with doing the equally spaced gearing, I always use a 1.00 final gear no matter what car, and say the BF1 for example, when I do the equally spaced gear, I only get a 10.3% difference between gears, and your wasting 800 ish rpm ,12 % is perfect hence why im asking, and then while adjustin that little bit more all the gears reset to 7.0 all of them!
to re produce set 7th to 1.00, then hit equally spaced gears, then adjust 6th to drop to 17350 rpm then 5th then 4th, and when u go to do 3rd it just makes all of the gears go to 7.00 I hope I explained that clearly enough for ya mate, let me know how it goes, if it doesnt do it 4 u I might do it and record with fraps or something to show u

bob this is awesome thanks so much for creating this, I have learnt so much more about the car and setups now

the only thing id like is when u can do the auto adjust gears,
when u select equally spaced , you should be able to put a predefind % like the other settings, that would make it heaps easier to get ur ratios right

I also had a problem the ratios would go all wacky, like say I have 7th 6th and 5th gear dorted on the F1, when i go to change the slider for 4th, they go all wacky and screw up all the other gears as well, and no im not making the 5th gear shorter then 4th gear problem this is different.

every thing else is awesome, and im sure it will get even better when u fine tune it

also curious in the gear ratio calculator part, the gear graph

there is green line blue line and a red line, what are these lines? my interperetation was blue is the tourque curver and green peak HP ? am I right or completly off track?

its a combo, of playing too much already, the lack of added content (keeping me interested) and the frustration that it can be more, so insead of playing being frustrated, im gana chill finish some other stuff in my life, then come back to a LFS that has a awesome F1 car, the norcslife and veiwable telematry, and better tyre phisics and general phisics, aww you got me started again lol. been playing for a year and a half, thats enough ill have a rest 4 a wile

when u are in vista, right click on LFS.exe file click properties and click run it as admin and unblock if thats on there as well, thats why ur getting the english file error

if its still locked , unlock it again , you will be alrite, u get a few unlocks every month

well, playing LFS on tuesday, and I drove a car out on the track and it locked up and spun out, without any user imput at all, I alt f4 it, and have now came to the conclusion that im not going to play lfs anymore, until its full retail,
its been fun LFS but its time to move on to something better, what that is im not sure of, but Lfs can be so much more and it will in time, so I will see you all when that happens, I sold my GT4 wheel and am handing my licence over to someone I Know. They can race yall,

To the devs, keep grinding away, I will see yas all when its gone retail or at least full Beta, and some new content ie tracks/cars hopefully a couple of real ones (tracks and cars) please

flat shifting is faster in any situation, u dont damage the engine if u are fast at shifting (in real life) but shifts are super fast in LFS anyway
flat shifting in turbo cars keeps boost up, flat shifting sounds awesome

man I couldnt even give my S2 licence away, so i dunno if u will get participants good luck tho
