Quote from GreyBull [CHA] :Sorry if I couldn't attend, but the server was full when I came, right after quali, giving me no opportunity to race with you guys.

If you had been to quali there would have been two servers, was just in the limit to fit us all on one server.

First time for me trying out the new patch. Nice looking shiny stuff . ABS didn't make so big a difference as i first thought. Well no more flat spots, but the braking distances hmmm not notably better. Didn't know that i was that dependant on the revlight. Couple of times to the limiter. Well see you guys next week.

I've lost to him countless times too

Here is a proof that the mysterious XRR is out there. Managed to stay ahead of him for a short time by dump luck http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGXvq3Q_WdM 2.10-2.14

Gongrats are in order. Nice season from Blauwhoff and also everyone involved. I think quite clean overall and fair racing through out the season.

To be honest i dont think me spinning in the sprint race did any difference in the overall result. Didn't see who hit me in the rear, but don't sweat over it. Was really the smallest possible tab and lost control.

See you guys maybe on another season with a different car that time

Thanks for all the attention. Looking forward to getting some new members. And a reminder that the funrace is allready tomorrow

@Greybull: Yeah was some tight racing in that race. Anxiously waiting for the last rounds of the season.

Excellent race tonight.

Quali - Managed to improve my pb, thats allways great. Losing some time to the wr in the last split that bothers a bit, maybe need to check it out

Race 1 - Rocket start for the RB4. We both got to the front. For me the race was mainly tire managing. This time was really happy about the set and knew the tires would be ok. Had really tweaked this set, cause previous races wasn't happy about the tire heating.

Race 2 - Started 8th, got a great start as around was FXO's. Before T1 5th and then on the long straight the guys ahead did some mistake. Not sure what happened there but i got past both of them as they slowed down. So after 1st lap 3rd. Then catched up to Jack around lap 3 started to try and put some pressure on him. Might have worked as he went slightly wide in T1 and i think got some dirt in his tires wich then led to him going off in T2. So FLP 1st and 2nd. Catched up to Ergin around halfway of the race, would really have loved to fight him. But we usually go easy on each other on league races. Well next time then

Managed to really gain points in this round. Makes it much more fun for the last round. Eventough Aston sounds to be a fast track. Well see you guys there...

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Starting to feel the pressure

Having hard time getting the tires to be under control. Well practice race on thursday and just did a new pb while testing out a quali set (1.1.7.53). Really not happy about the setup yet.

Gotta really say Thanks!

I've once visited the website, but didn't download the software. Felt at the time i could do without it. But installed it just today and damn suspension setting feels a lot easier then before. Its actually good to drive too Keep up the good work.

Quote from J@tko :All TBO cars have 75l tanks

Well then the refueling should work. Was too lazy and didn't check just assumed that they could be different sized .

Like all the suggestions, maybe not using all of them at once though. At first i was also up for longer races, but as we have now been driving these 15+30 mins races the length seems just right. I mean the broadcast is allready 1h20min long so if we would have had 20 + 45 mins races the broadcast would have been near 2hours long. So i think the basic format is fine as it is.

Then some points that could maybe be considered and haven't been mentioned. I've seen these in other leagues and found quite fun.

- Qualifiying could be shorter 10-15mins and no shift+p & shift+s, but one could make a pitstop to change tires and add fuel. Would be more real life like.

- Superpole maybe. Only drawback is that it takes time.

- Forced pitstop in the longer race.
Some sort of pitwindow to go along with it. Doesn't work so well if somebody stops in the first lap or the last. Then could add other rules to it like everybody needs to change all 4 tires. Or if we want to keep the tire issue going, just say everybody needs to refuel atleast 10% fuel. Well the refueling might not work so well as the cars have different sized tanks.

- Reversing the whole grid for the feature. Or like in the Road Sport Winter Cup doing feature in the reversed championship standings order. New drivers started behind everybody.

Some ideas i thought might be worth considering.

Some great racing tonight.

Round 9: Had a really hard time in the first one, was slighly waiting for a lagstart and took the start a little bit easy. Ended up on the wall in the busstop corner and messed up my camber in the right backtire. Car ended up beeing too much oversteery and the tires burned alot more then they should have. So felt like a moving roadblock there. Great and fair fights with everyone. And damn Blauwhoff was ahead and one car inbetween us.

Round 10: Same grid position as in the first race 4th, only difference that now there was one XRT also before me. So after the start didn't end up first . After the first split was battling with Araujo and we were side by side to the narrow section. Felt like i shut the door on him pretty hard there, and was wondering about that at the time. Well checked the replay and might have been that there was slight contact in the entry of the corner and as a result i had more understeer out of it as i expected. Well anyway sorry mate. From there on out i was trying to catch up to Jack . He made a mistake couple of laps later and i managed to take first. Checked his tires and the backtire looked real bad, that might have been the reason for that going wide. Had a safe lead almost the whole race, in the end Jack started to catch up, different one this time tough. But was confident that there isn't enough laps for him to catch up the whole gap.

Wohoo second win of the season and if i calculated correctly managed to gain few points to Blauwhoff. The difference should be now 12 points and still 42 points left in the coming races. Anything can happen

Quote from ChristijaNL :Fail

I do not like south city tracks, nor do i race well on them, allthough from all the layouts so chicane is not the worst.

My bet? Jouman or if he takes part, Pearcy.

Thanks . I'm pretty much along the same lines, not my favorite tracks these south city ones. Just had my first laps around the track and got the set to work somehow. Temps stay around 80 in the fronts maybe a little less if careful, but i guess that won't happen in race . The straights aint that long so rb4 has a change, but there is one longish straight in the back so that might be bad one for us.

And i think this time there will be different winners for sure for both rounds. Really hard track to get pass somebody and easy to make mistakes in the prosess.

Quote from Angel_ghost :I really cannot believe i run out of gas in last lap..

i checked in-pits that the estimated Fuel per Lap was 1.0% but it looks like it consumed 1.1%/Lap so, the 26% i went with weren't enough

Anyways, congrats to Jack, and see you all in next round

It said 1.0% for the rb4 too in the pits, but thats allways wrong. It was more like 1.2%-1.3% for me atleast.

Quali - Well good new pb. Was a bit angry at two guys exiting the pits and ruining one of my timed laps. Why not just check the map and think how you would like people to enter the track at that point.

Race 1 - Pretty much the same comments as pearcy, nervous first laps after the quali set. Had to attack for the first laps cause new my tires wouldnt last in the best condition for so long. Once again 2nd

Race 2 - Tried changing the set slightly to maybe make the tires last better, but it didnt work so well. Toughest race so far in the series, had a really hard time with the XRT's in the backstraight. No matter how close i got i couldn't even hope pulling to their side in the straight. Managed to make some good passes when waiting as the third guy in the train. Again 2nd. Tough luck on angel_ghost running out of fuel and gongrats to Jack had a nice fight in the start of the race.

If i'm starting from the back i prefer a different method to danowats. Start racing lets say after 3-4 corners. So just sit back and observe, don't leave a big cap to the whole group just enough to brake early when you see the big pile up. Usually after 2-3 corners i end up in the middle of the back when avoiding the pile ups. Then just start racing and picking up places one by one . (I've had bad luck with that getting off the line with the XRG and getting 4/5 cars in the start, but you might need to find something that works for you.)

Quote from GreyBull [CHA] :Well, just for info, I'm always uploading the replays on spdo as soon as I leave IMA's server(unless I don't finish a race, like two weeks ago).

Oh, btw, Jouman, don't forget that because of your alienish skills, you didn't really see what was going on on the pack(unless you watched the full replays?). For having experimenting both mid-field battles and fights for the podiums, I can say that what was going on on the back was 10x worse than everywhere else.

Yeah watched the replays from their perspective, well fast forwarded a bit. Wont comment unless i have seen it

@Trekkerfahrer & EliteAti: Was interested to see why you guys felt you had such rotten races. Normal racing imo.

Quote from EliteAti :+1, some ppl just rushed in the corner without caring about others, sounds like they havent raced in leagues much?

You guys should report those incidents. Atleast i had great racing in the middle.

Quali - Could have done better was hoping for under 57 time. Well 9th on the grid and really tight with the times.

Race 5 - Got an excellent start, well i had 4 wheel drive. Was 3rd into T1. Then some good racing and close fighting ended up 2nd. Used an experimental set and the tires werent that good, Void was really closing in in the last laps.

Race 6 - Again great start 4th i think to T1. Then whole race tight racing for positions. At the middle was 4th, had been 2nd but ChristiaNL managed to get past and pretty much at the same time Greybull too. Then they cathed up to the 1st car. Was hoping theyd battle it out and i'd benefit from that. Well it went almost like that, Greybull went wide after the second split and got him there at the same time Jack in the front went wide a bit and i managed to get right up his tail. Then in the mainstraight managed to keep in his slipstream and he did a mistake to T1 and went wide. Didn't see him braking at all there or he just took it too much inside.

Well 2nd. in both races is more then i hoped for from this high speed circuit.

Drove this car in the RSWC and was at one point hoping i would have gone with the FZ5. I think the tricky handling is a result of couple of things like mentioned on this thread allready, the lack of rear arb and the tbo. Surprisingly i think only two guys have mentioned the tbo, wich was the reason i was hoping i would have been driving the FZ5 instead. The lag with the tbo is quite big and once the tbo kicks in the rear gets a bit twitchy. And then again the feeling of lack of power when you are first on the throttle. These were the reasons i was regretting my decision in one race in that cup.

On the other hand once the set was fine it goes nicely around the corners, only the tbo was bothering me at that point
