Not screaming in terror like his passengers.

Quote from HVS5b :I just signed up and made my first two trips Imagine having to deliver beer to Munich , like delivering sand to Saudi Arabia!

Not really got much of a clue whats going on at the moment, just gonna figure it out as I go along. City and commodity bonuses seem to be the way to earn cash?

Got about a dozen e-mails from companies wanting me to join up. Is it worth it, the discounts seem pretty hefty but I quite like the idea of going solo.

Maybe run 2 accounts?

Yes I could read this whole thread, and prolly will do, jus not now

Any pointers for a noob welcome, see yas on the E roads, fellow heavy haulers

Come and join Live for Trukz..better to be with a bunch of guys you "know" than a bunch of complete strangers from across the pond! (AND we operate in Europe!
Give us time, and the benefits will far outweigh the disadvantages...contract runs ALWAYS pay better than private runs, and the discounts mean that you will be able to get a good truck a LOT quicker...
We cant get any contracts YET because we need a minimum of 25 members before we can bid, but even when we do have them you are free to do your own thing anyway!

Quote from kamilek12 :if cops actually had the evo then they would all lose a bunch of money cause they are ugly and slow and very uncomfortable. cheaply made and not sturdy

They ACTUALLY do have them...not just one, but 3 that I have seen with my own eyes...in service!
The one pictured above, and 2 unmarked patrol cars..they cruise along the M25/M23 in these black EVO's until some ricer tries to burn them off...then they hit the blue lights and next thing the ricer knows...

Cost of PC/Equipment has no bearing on ability to drive.
However, people that are more 'involved' with LFS tend to devote a large portion of their disposable income to their preferred hobby, namely the computer. Therefore it is only natural that you find people that are classed as aliens tend to have (statistically speaking) better set-ups.
Point I am making is that if somebody consecrates a lot of time to practice, then they will soon wear out 'normal' wheels, and will need a wheel with more durability, which just happens to cost a heck of a lot more pennies. (G25: €200, ECCI setup: €1800!!!!)
Furthermore, if they spend 6 hours a day or more at the screen, then they are going to want a very good image to look at...all this costs money..

Big question is, what comes first? Chicken or the Egg?...Alien or Ninja PC?

// optional: InSim port
/insim=63393

Lapper:

$Port = 63393; # Insim UDP port. Open this port after starting LFS Server by typing /insim=29999 in chat or include it in config-file LFS Server

and the Insim Relay tab settings on LFSW? What about your IP address...has that been changed?

Quote from nesrulz :Gai-Luron, why Lapper (last version) block insim relay (LFS Remote)?

It doesnt!

Both my servers are running the latest Lapper, and both are showing on the Insim Relay!

Have you changed the port numbers for Insim by any chance?

Kev...Charity shops/establishments cannot take electrical goods of ANY description because of Heath and Safety Nazis...if they take your computer and sell it, then some poor sod electrocutes themselves, then they would be liable...end result, they wont even accept an old toaster!

If you cant give it away, take it to your local pawn shop and see if they will "lend" you £50 for it...you don't have to go back to get your puter, or to pay the £50
Failing that, try what I did last summer..I had a REALLY old laptop...(it was running Windoze 1.0 in monochrome!!!!!)...Had builders in and they accidently knocked over from where it had been (precariously ) placed...when it got broke we told the builders we wanted our damaged goods replaced...we got a brand spanking new Fujitsu Amilo out of it
