LFS at AC server at 18.00 UTC for people not in the LFS steamgroup. The plan is to get some netcode testing in (fiat 500 abarth) and then do some other cars when we've done that.

Input lag came back, I've turned everything bar AA off, FPS is at 130 or so in the pits and still input lag. I even fired up LFS just to confirm it wasn't in my head.

I'm becoming increasingly "meh" about AC. Shiny and full of lofty ambitions, but as software it's not up to much, imo.

have you checked the ini file for the render frames ahead? they have altered some ini structures i think so they might of changed that also.

Yes I always check that, and yes they've re-organised for some reason. The fact that it needs setting is bad enough, and I always have to kill the wsLivetime.exe when I close AC. The new multiplayer stuff seems just as needlessly craplicated as the previous too.

The wslivetime.exe is part of RSR live timing app if you delete that addon it will fix this problem. Maybe they addon makers even have a new version that works? Dunno myself, don't use it.

It's pretty normal for patches to reset hidden stuff in .cfg's and .ini's, epsecially when they have done a major over haul of the GFX engine.

In what way is the new MP system "craplicated" as the old one. I haven't done much testing, but so far it seems miles better,as far as all the prebooking stuff goes anyway.

Oh feck, has there been a new update today...I am scared of starting AC now

this game just looks wow compared to yesterday,but massive fps hit... i mean a £ 1000 pc. cmon..

i dont see this massive graphics improvement..

i do however like that you can have all the effects of HDR without the annoying exposure going light and dark..

Meh I have literally turned every possible graphical setting off and I still get like 40fps...

Haven't noticed any FPS changes, if anything I'd say the game runs better now. Glad to be rid of the shitty HDR lighting engine.

Updated Cobra is simply amazing at Joux Plane, try it!

I'm still amazed how someone would think the current MP system is a good idea. @Kunos

It's just us,who are used to the very simple and still very good MP in LFS. These,who haven't seen LFS,most likely think AC's MP is very good.

i had over 100 fps before the update,now it lags on the same settings.

i also wonder who da F were the beta testers. are they from NFS?

I get the same FPS I did before the update. 80-100 fps, on med-ish settings. 80-100 fps with a crappy i3 and a 7770.

so i guess i do need to throw out my pc afterall

I don't know what's wrong there. With that config you shouldn't get stuttering and low fps. High cube maps are hard on fps, maybe you have something fps eater setting set to the max?
