We just had this week's race.. amazing battle!

aww for norbi
The race is done? On the site it says : NEXT GRAND PRIX - 00 days, 01 hours, 32:18
Quote from Bawbag :Doubt you'll be saying that when you see the replay....

i know he made a wrong move over you...but i mean, going 3rd and 3 laps to the end to 5th.. it's aww, with your errors or with someone elses
It was a rotten incident, though I must say it didn't reflect badly on either of you at all from a spectator's point of view. It looked for all the world like 2 exceptional drivers in pursuit of a goal, with a collision as the result. Mind you, 3 admins shouting their heads off in Teamspeak probably added to the excitement at the time though
Replay!
Really nice and hard race. I feel really bad for what i did to norbi, although it was a racing accident it could have been avoided (i should have given more space). But also, his accident with bb could be avoided way easily imho.
Anyway, really liked how everything worked out in terms of organization

@Roc(k! ), you did a fantastic job at the end, there, I really must say. I don't really want to talk about the race in detail because I know people will enjoy sitting down to watch the video (which I will be working on this week, to turn out for next weekend all being well) but I must say that was a storming last few laps from you! Inspired!
Wow, must have been good race!
I missed it this week, no time unfortunately, but next time i'll be on.
Was great fun, as my first bit of admin helping, I enjoyed watching the race, and helping out these other deviant admins, saving their bacon!

Good race guys, and too bad Ray with the Norbi incident. I've watched it many times, and it was close. Nice though Ray with that last lap, very very fast
I've just watched the repaly and it was a fantastic race, the last few laps must have been pure adrenaline, congratulations for all of you.

What was close? :/

The contact came because he turned in far to early and the kerb sent him over me, but I was more annoyed at what happend after we both recovered.

As for the time, gimme a undamaged car with a little less heat, then we should see a good laptime.

I always wanna ensure when the qualification starts in my time...if it is 10-45 AM (GMT+1) that means 11-45 in Slovakia? I have never known these timezones
I'm lousy at the timezone thing too It's now 1:12am here in the UK. If it's 2:12am for you then the qualifying tomorrow will be 11:45AM your time. If it's 3:12am now, then the qualifying will be at 12:45PM your time tomorrow. Does that help?
yeah I will have to count a lot but hope that I will come on time
if I see that your message was sent according to lfs at 00-12 and you say it is 1-12 and now at 10-15 my time it shows me 8-15 I think Q will start 11-45 my time hope so
why havent I pass Q to race?
i had qualification time 1-12-97 and in list there is for example zsmy who has the best online time 1-13-46 and he is in...I dont understand it at all...if it is about qualification times then I should be there I think...I doubt that 12 people has time under 1-13...
THX for answer and I hope you will get me into race list...
The race qualifications are determined by a combination of different criteria. Positions 1-8 are based purely on qualifying times. Positions 9-12 are based on a combination of qualifying times and also participation and consistency.

Although the individual statistics are, at the moment, available only to the V1 admins (we will be making more information available at a later point) I will tell you that zsmy - the example you raise - has driven 2415 laps in V1 servers during practice races and has impressed all admins with his dedication, determination, progress and consistency in times.

I hope that gives you an idea and understanding about how much emphasis we do, and always have, placed on not just lap times but also many other factors. At every opportunity we have stressed how important ALL aspects of participation are
okey but I dont have so much time to race so much laps and I m trying to get better and I have nothing against zsmy but I m driving all 30 lap such times as he has pb so I think I would be better in race....
In F1 or other races it is just about time...that is quite clear criteria but you admins like zsmy so he will race but it is hardly impossible that he will do a good race ...he will end maybe 1 lap after the best racers...

I wont probably race next week race because I m leaving to University and again dont have so I wanned to race today but as I see your rules are a bit strange....you can be impressed by anyone but times are times and it is the most valuable factor...much more than you like someone...then it seems like you are corrupted and you can take there any of your friends if you have free hands to take there almost everyone...let racers race their best and take 12 best racers

It was the first race when you also didnt take me into the race and I finished 4th ... hope you dont wanna screw me all the day up...

edit//you said zsmy made over 2000 laps and has big progress...I raced 1300 and has bigger progress...the difference is that it wasnt on your server because I was racing earlier than your servers were
thats a point , i though i was faster aswell and you can ask a few admins that my dedications is quite high , i was on till 2 am last night and back on at 9 this morning and i was faster ive done all my laps since the start of v1 , total 1150 ish , thats not commitment ?

Edit : so you basicly want people who can sit at home all day cos they DONT work for a LIVING ( slobs or kids ) ... need i say more
Edit : so you basicly want people who can sit at home all day cos they DONT work for a LIVING ( slobs or kids ) ... need i say more
I agree at all....nobody has time to sit on lfs all the days and make 100 laps a day ....we also have to learn, work and go out but we still race good times...sometimes less is more....I think that it is skill if you come to track with car you have never driven and make a good time...of course if he raced 2200 laps he has 1-13-50 time...I had too...and also better....ň

btw:jwardy ..what was your Q time?

edit// if someone sits all the day playing lfs he has no but really no physical condition...he wont manage to drive a single lap in fbm...it must be quite hard to push the pedals and spin the steering wheel 40 laps in real...just think about it...

1.13.36 i pulled that out of my a** 5 mins from the end , and then i see i dont make it to some one who is online 24 hours a day but cant get below 1.13.5

yep put some one who sits here all day in a fbm , then go to Itv and put it on funny home videos porgram .

i currently do karting and believe me it aint easy , i do alot of enduro races , 3 hours in fabuary (3rd place), 3 hours in june 14th place lot of problems, and 6 hours in november ( Cold Wet Fun ) cant wait !!
As I said, race invitations are a combination of many factors. There are only 12 positions available and we assign grid slots 1-8 to the fastest drivers. To guarantee placement in the race, you must get into the top 8. To improve your chances of being selected for positions 9-12, you need to participate in V1 during the week as well.

FTR, bavorak, you have actually done ~1/10th as many laps in V1 servers as zsmy. 249 laps, not 1150. Unless you have a 2nd username? We are only collecting statistics on V1 servers, not on LFSW. We do make this very clear. The statistics we are collecting are more granular/detailed than LFSW provides.

@jwardy, your time was 15th. You have 797 laps in V1. You very nearly made it in this race, but you were pipped by Casino who had a slightly better time and just over 2000 laps in V1. If you have another week next week like you did this last Friday and Saturday, I think your chances of making the race next week with a similar quali time will be very strong.

Having given all this detail, I must make the point that the statistics we are collecting are the basis upon which we make race qualification decisions. If someone is not invited to race, despite a decent lap time in qualifying, there IS a reason. Even if it's not immediately apparent, the decisions we make are qualified, they're discussed among the V1 admins in detail, and we believe they are the right decisions. That is our shout, at the end of the day, not anyone else's.

No matter whether someone is invited to race at the weekend or not, ALL statistics collected on V1 servers - weekend, weekday, qualification and race - are collected and will be used for final decisions by V1 admins and the individual racing series (Racing Steps Foundation, Fortec, and several famous sporting names as well). Nobody at any point will miss out on the end-goal of V1, to get a real-world drive next year.

This may have been my last race , i go back to work tomorrow ( holiday ) i cant make next week and god knows when i can make the next one .
no I dont have other nick...bavorak is my only one

okey but now I missed other race...will it be enough for me if I race only 5 races (also if I will be good enough for you) and if i will race blgp fbm on your server all the day from morning to evening?
I raced just one race till now because i didnt have time for more...has it sense to try something more or should I give ti up? I wanna know i have just a bit theoretical chance to get to the real fbm....i dont really know because if you make an agreement with admins that you will take people who are racing times 1-14 then you take just them to real world and mine 1-12-80 is nothing against them as I can see from your words
