I will most probably be at the STCC event on Saturday. Perhaps I'll meet some of you there

Sorry for bumping this old one but I got a question...
Is there a way to shut off stuff you don't want? For example, I got VCom doing the track and car rotation, but I'd like this program to auto restart and controll the handicaps.

Try to pour anything with artificial sweetener in their way (aspartame). If you find the nest, pour it onto that too. They will be gone in a matter of hours or at most a day. And no, this is not a joke.

For me the choice is easy. I'd take Grand-Am over ALMS, LMS, FIA-GT and Super GT any day. Grand-Am has come to life in a way I didn't thought possible. And with the two new chassis entering the playing ground, things can only get better.

I have no problem with drifting or cruising servers. As long as they have to use the same excellent physics model as the proper drivers (the racers), they can do what ever they want. An option to filter out drift servers would be good though.

What LFS needs is not a special focus on things. What it does need is up to Eric, Victor and Scawen. What I think it needs is real life tracks, a prototype and a V8 Supercar

The original STCC game was made by Digital Illusions in 1999 and was published by EA. In 2000 the sequel, called STCC 2 was released, with better graphics, full 3D cockpits and Carl Rosenblad, a Swedish real life STCC driver as consultant for the physics. Again, this was a product of Digital Illusions and it was published by EA.
These days Digital Illusions is called DICE and they are more or less owned by EA. They have since long abandoned the racing genre (last was Rallisport Challenge in -03) for stuff like Battlefield and Mirror's Edge.

I was at Karlskoga for the real life STCC event this weekend and tried STCC - The Game. It's obviously the same physics engine as Race-07, but I will get it anyway. First of all, it has the Swedish tracks and cars, second of all, it will feature Camaro Cup

Quote from P5YcHoM4N :A way to punch people in the face through the Internet.

The one who invents that will become rich beyond imagination.
And I want one!

It's amazing how you can drive side by side trough any number of turns with some drivers, and with others, you can not even go side by side in a straight line without having an accident.

Quote from Scawen :I have a very short phrase for them but can't say it on a public forum.

Sure you can. I imagine most of us would enjoy that phrase

Really great patch! The changes to the physics on some of the cars are working out great and the updated interiors are awesome! Thanks a lot

Fact of the matter is that in the right environment, with the right mod and with the right kind of people on the grid, rFactor offers tons of fun. I have gone through mods that where plain and utter bad, but also found real treasures, like the V8 Supercars, the DTM 2007 and the recently released Historic GT & Touring Car mod.

I do not chose between LFS and rFactor, I race them both. I do it to have fun and variation and that is all that should matter. These constant "My sim is better than yours" threads does nothing good. There is room for both these Sims on the market, and they both deserve to be raced. Those who can't see that lose out on on a lot and should probably be pitied.

Nice to see Stefan Johansson back where he belongs. In a fast, good looking car on a classic track

If you get DOS Box you can probably get them to run properly as well

Get this and never have a problem again

http://www.xpcodecpack.com/

It includes the very slim Media Player Classic, which together with this easy to install codec pack, has yet to fail to play any video file. One download, one install and that's it. Oh and keep an eye out for updates because they they come as soon as a new version of this or that codec is is released.

I watch nothing that has open wheels and wings since it's probably the most boring kind of racing there ever was. If I was forced to watch anything like that it would have to be A1-GP.
