It works great now
And yes, you can turn it off once you got TVU Network loaded and the adds will go away. Tested in Explorer 7.

Thanks for the help Deggis

Yes I have Telia (felia?)
So how exactly do you use this? I start it and the icon turns yellow, but then what? I am sort of a computer illiterate

--- edit ---
Never mind. I got it working. It just took the darn thing a good time to connect (like 5-10 minutes). After it connected TVU loaded like a dream

You mean TVU Networks is online? I can't get to it right now and the 12 hours of Sebring is getting closer.

I really liked that old TV series that took place in Singapore. It was called "Bring 'em back alive" if my memory serves me right.

Yeah, it's not the cars as much as the vague rules about what is allowed. Aussie V8's have about the same rules regarding overtaking, blocking, nudging, scratching and bumping and general behavior as the S2000 Touring cars. Problem is that in a V8 the consequences of any contact is much more severe.

Love that old movie. It's a classic and still so very very true

I have trouble seeing what is so bleeding good about NR2003. I own it and I have participated in a fair amount of online races with it. Thing is, apart from it's net code it's really not that much to brag about. It looks awful on just about any graphics card I've used and physics wise it's not outstanding compared to the other old NASCAR sim, NASCAR Heat, which by the way had an equally good net code, almost LFS standard. And it had it three years before NR2003.

No, NR2003 is for the fan boys and I'm staying clear of any product based on that. Ad the fact that in my book iRacing is no better than that goo you find in your mouth when you have a hangover and the result is clear. This one is not worthy of my time and money.

Buying this sim is simply a matter of principals. I for one will not buy it because I don't tolerate what they as a company did to the modders. You just don't do something like that and expect everyone will forgive and forget.
Sure, the did change their name from First to iRacing but that only fools those who don't pay close attention to the scene. Anyone who knows anything remembers that they tried to take a modder to court (and failed). A company like that will not see my money in their wallet, no matter how good their product is.

But since it's based on NR2003, their product will probably not be that good because NR2003 really wasn't that much to brag about compared to today's Sims. Both LFS and rFactor are so much better in just about every way and light years ahead when it comes to good looks. So iRacing, no thank you. Take your crap elsewhere. I don't want any.

I agree with every word you say. If that corner, or any corner was that dangerous, then the drivers would complain in an instant. There has been many crashes in that corner, only one fatal. All the other crashes in that corner, the driver walked away clean. There even was a crash later on the Sunday in that very corner in the V8's.

Better to do something about the somewhat vague rules regarding overtaking, nudging and bumping each other on track.

Damn shame... Married father of two goes like that. Didn't look like much of a crash either to be honest. The Utes crash looked much worse even though Ashely was going at a much faster pace when he crashed.

I'm glad I'm a sim racer...

BTCC has it's place, as does all S2000 series and I like all of them. But DTM also got it's place, as does V8 Supercar and almost every Touringcar series out there. It is the most thrilling racing you'll ever find. Cars with wings and open wheels confues me and I don't like it. Tin tops forwever

But Eclestone (and/or FiA?) doesn't have anything to do with the organization of DTM right? Ok so DTM follow the basic rules and regulations of FiA, and even use the same points system as F1 and WTCC etc, but it's not an official FiA championship, right?
So I don't think Eclestone has much to say about it

So they are aiming for DTM after all
I wish them best of luck

Nah... Ralf has been talking to Mercedes about a test and that's it as far as I know. Don't think we will see him in DTM this year at least.

I'm planning a vacation in the UK, and I most probably will rent a car to move around in. Now... I wonder if the gear layouts in a normal cars (manual) is the same regardless of the fact that the seat is on the right hand side, or are they mirrored? I was sure they where the same, but a workmate said no way, it got to be mirrored.

So, is it?

Well through the years there has been BMW, Opel, Rover, Alfa, Ford, Audi, Volkswagen, Fiat, Chevrolet, Volvo, Mitsubishi, MG and Mercedes, so I think a Lexus would fit right in there

Quote from TFalke55 :when you can't sell them to second hand privatieer teams.

Well some cars are sold on. For example old DTM Audi TT and Opel can be found in Dutch Supercar Challenge, which I think is quite a good home for yesterdays DTM cars

Quote from duke_toaster :why would they want to go in to a dying series when they could do WTCC?

Because DTM still is the toughest SuperTouring championship in the nothern hemisphere. It got the highest profile, the best named drivers and so on and so forth. Sure, it has it's problems and I actually think those who organize DTM could learn a lot from the guys Down Under (V8 Supercar) who also race with just two makes on track.

Really nice
Are they perhaps aiming for DTM? Would be cool to have a third make in the series again
