Yes please
Or better yet... Find a way to run more than one InSim program at the same time.

I have been running in (and administrating) leagues at SCORE for almost three years now. And since the start on January 1:st 2003, more than 50% of the racers come from North America. To be exact, more than 47% of the hits on the site is from USA and little more than 12% is from Canada. The rest is mostly from Europe and Australia.

SCORE races has always started at 20:00 and 22:00 CET, witch is 2pm and 4pm EST. Since we race on Sundays, North Americans have no trouble at all joining at those times.

This year, we have had no less then 12 vehicles on the grid for any given race. Many of the wins are made by American as well as many of the track records. So calling North Americans slow is not fair at all

My only problem right now is to convince all those Americans and Canadians that a switch to LFS is a good idea. Not an easy task at all, and I can't really tell why.

My favourite is the XRR since it's a perfect endurance car. Low fuel consumtion and (if properly set up) easy on the tires as well. It can be tricky out of a corner, but it it's at least as fast as the FZR on the straight.
But.. As said above. Use the car you're most stable with. Stable laptimes will become fast stable laptimes in time. The most important thing in racing is to stay on track and out of trouble.

I'm missing RaceManeger (if I'm not completley blind). I know it's supposed to be an S1 tool, but it works with S2 as well. It's the only tool I know that handles a pace lap and a rolling start.

SCORE server will be online for for some relaxed practice every thursday from 20:00 CET. Cars will be the the same all the time, but tracks will vary. Races will be around 50km.
All these practice runs leads up to a series that starts on January 15.

Quote from Gabkicks :i think 3 cars, 1 track and online support is enough for a demo. many other games offer much less. look how satisfied they are staying demo racers for so long...

Indeed it is. GTR Demo had one track and two cars (of witch one was fugly and hard to handle). rFactor demo had 3 variations of the same car (but it wasn't all fugly) and one track.
LFS has not one but two tracks since you can drive the rallycross track as well, and you can drive them both in reverse direction, witch is 4 layouts. So 4 tracks and three cars is very generous I think.

What should be added though (as mentioned before by both me as well as others) is some sort of replay viewer so we can "show off" S2 and future versions to those who still hesitate

Lot's of awesome videos at http://video.supercarchallenge.nl
Some with dutch commentators, some with english commentators and some with just the original sound. This really shows the beauty of multi class racing

Quote from Hyperactive :Only couple of people even mentioning GPL! Shame on you.

Well I did play GPL... Just didn't mention it cause it didn't have that much of an impact on me. No open wheel cars ever did. Had there been a mod for GPL with real cars (yeah, yeah, don't start, I've heard it all ) I would have played it more. Shame that GT40 mod never made it to release...

SCORE GT-Challenge

So after gathering some opinions about race length and and race format, here goes...

You're welcome to participate in the SCORE GT-Challenge 2006 with start January 15. Season is devided in two halfs, one Spring and one Fall series. Races will be about 1 hour in length, depending on track, but due to requests the races will be set to fixed number of laps rather than to use a time limit. There are two exceptions to this, witch are two 3 hour events.

There will be two classes on track at the same time.
GT Class consists of: FXR, FZR and XRR.
SuperSport Class consists of: XFR and UFR.
Both classes earn individual points.

Up until series start this spring, SCORE will host practice runs of about 50km in length every thursday night, starting at 20:00 CET* / 2pm EST** and keep at it for as long as there are people on the server, or at longest until midninght CET* / 6pm EST**.

Any questions or opinions at all, please post here or send an me a mail

F1GP for Amiga - My first contact with real sims.
Flashback for Amiga - The first real adventure game I got hooked on.
Elite for Amiga - I think I played this one for 16 hours straight when I got it.
SCGT - My second contact with driving sims and the one that got me go buy a wheel.
Nascar Heat - The sim that saved SCORE. Best multiplayer code I've seen so far.
LFS - Probably the one sim that has potential to break up my marriage

The thing is that SCORE has hosted these kind of events for other sims, mostly Nascar Heat (with roadcourse mods of course) for a pretty long time. When I came across LFS and found it had a working driver change online (among many other superb features) I almost fell of my chair in pure joy. I saw the possibilities for simulated GT racing in an instant.

Almost all GT racing I know of has at least two classes of cars on track. FIA-GT has two, ALMS has four, Super-GT (former JGTC) has two, and my new favourite Dutch Supercar Challenge has three and is very similar to the American World-Challenge. Basically all vehicles in a class are competitive amongst each other but there are almost no competition between two classes.

So... One class would of course consist of the FXR, the FZR and the XRR. The other class would consist of the XFR and the UFR. Both classes race at the same time on the same track as in real life and before you know it, you got a simulated GT event with hopefully a lot of action.

FIA-GT use both time and lenght (laps) limit. The race stops after the lead car has reached the 500km mark or has done a full three hour of racing. LFS can have either time or lap races, but not both, so when I set up the basics for my little GT Challenge I chose to calculate the number of laps needed to reach 500km.
Favourite race options?

I've been trying to draw some interest to an endurance series called GT Challenge, with two classes on track. Problem is that I actually didn't get a single signup or even so much as sign of interest. This leads me to think that most people don't want to race for so long, or have forced driver swapps, or possibly it's the two class on track that scares people away.

So... I would like to set up a series that people enjoy, using the the GTR cars in one class plus the FXR and the UFR in the other class. Should I set time to only one hour? Should I take away the forced driver swap? Should I set up a tighter schedule or what? Or is two class racing simply out of the question?

ok, now I'm here again
Last update was pretty much what I was looking for but (and here it comes)...
It doesn't match words, it match cmbinations of letters.
Meaning...
If I type "hi" it answers "Hi there" or what ever I've preset.
But if I type "That was some really shitty driving" it answers "Hi there" cause the letter combination "hi" is in the config

I hope you understand what I'm trying to explain, hehe.
Anyway, it's not a big deal. If anything, it can bring out a laugh every now and then

Thanks. One less thing to think about
Tell me... Is it me or is the text recognition case sensitive? Is "Hello" the same as "hello" or do I actually have to bind them both?
