I've just been doing some laps on Aston Club in the fox. Normally I'd do low 101's... but with the same set as I used b4 Patch X, now whenever I run over the inside left curb on the chicane (left entry), the car spins off. It just won't go over that curb without spinning, but before it did. Has the physics of the curbs changed? Or car?

Anyone else noticing this???

Its not me, cause I'm not doing anything different to what I was doing b4 patch x.

I'm sure someone will help you...sounds awful wierd though.... have you tried selecting them as buttons? Does the wheel and pedals work in car? If so, until u get them working, just make gears a couple of keys...

I think what you are feeling is a very familiar feeling... I felt it eons ago when I got my first motorbike.... mmmmmmm it was love... fast was never fast enough...

Let me make a suggestion, if none have already. Seems to me, you are a born racing driver... and it sounds like something you really need to start thinking toward... save up, get a kart and start racing... if u hang on to that feeling... it might just be ur kids at school wishing they were you when they see u on tv... If you stay on the right road, and don't get tempted by others or yourself to take the wrong path, it might just be your future... its your choice... I wonder what you'll pick.

Actually... waiting for technology to solve the problem means it won't be solved. It'll arrive one day, but probably too late. The most gains are going to be achieve by ordinary people like you, being more efficient in your power use. That means, changing globes over to low energy ones (in my house, if I put on every light in the house, with ordinary 75W globes, I use 1200watts, but I changed over to low energy 8W globes and now total usage is only 128 watts and the globes give off the same light as a normal globe. Turn of lights when u leave the room, and turn off stuff on standby... so you have to walk up to it to turn it on... it'll still remember ur stuff... little things like that.. help alot...if we all did it.

If you don't believe in greenhouse, and alot of silly ppl with their heads in the sand who like to believe consipiracies... then I guess you'll find out too late when the shit hits the fan.

Venus - there's another thing... (n why i have this name), the planet Venus is a run away greenhouse effect... closest thing to hell in the solar system... almost seems like it was put there as a warning sometimes.

well, Koshi... I've not driven around National in a fox before.. thought I do drive the fox, and I just did a 1m 53 after 4 laps. Believe me, its not the car... it has nothing to do with the car... watching your replay, you are no where near the limit of the car... however I will tell you this... on the first corner, if you are slow... like you are.. alot... and you touch that inside curve.. the car will dive right into the wall... but if you are fast, you can run over that curb and it won't dive right... the curb grips the tyre when ur slow and pulls it in, but with fast guy, he's too fast to. Thats not whats going on, but its what it feels like.

I went round doing what you do, and yes curbs seem slippy, but when u go fast they are not... its not the tyres, its not the curbs... its your low speed... what you need in a big dose is a dose of bravery and trust in the car... other ppl make it fast, so it must do it... so your the problem... really.. to put it blunt, your afraid to trust the car and push the thing till the tyres squirm. If I can do it one a first try, jeez you certainly can... you know the lines... I don't... I just guessed at them.

As to your "slippy tyres on the curbs" Let me explain why this happens. This of course does not explain exactly what is happening, but what is being simulated. Now lets zoom in on the tyre curb... the curb consists of red and white angled slices of concrete (simulated) each rise points in the direction you are travelling from. Imagine lots lots of red & white thin wedges of concrete; with the vertical face, facing you as u approach. When you go fast, the tyre (simulated) just rides over the top of these wedges and thats the rumble sound you hear. It also grips the curb almost as well as the road. Now, when you go slowly like you are, and you run over the inside curb on T1, the car jerks to the inside of the curb and toward the wall. Why is it so? lol.... Its because of the simulated dynamic betwen the tyre and lots of those lil thin wedges with their small vertical faces (wish I'd prepared an image lol)... nyway, the tyre hits this like a tiny wall, and the effect pushes the car slightly right.. then it hits the next one, and it hits it again right... Its like hundreds of tiny hits to the front wheel pushing it right as it hits each curb piece. If the tyre was losing grip on a right hand bend, it would never jerk to the right, it would slide left. As I said, this is the EFFECT of what happens, not what is actually happening. To know that, I'd need to know the dynamics of the simulated tyre and simulated curb pieces.

So its not the car, its caused because you are going too slow on that particular curb...

Looking at your fox replay... really.. you are just too timid... you change gear way too early... at only half revs... you need to only change when the little red light comes on on the tachometer... you will immediately pick up a second just there... your changing gear at like 5500-6000 whereas I don't change until about 7400.

Though you really don't know what your missing in multiplay... the AI are very slow... so don't use them as a guide to whats quick. If your shy... then just join a server n lurk spectate... u'll learn heaps... see wot fast is... and if u ask nicely.. might get a decent setup from one of the fast guys and some tips... n eventually... the bug will catch u... u'll think... hey... i'm faster than them. lol... n there ya go lol... u got the bug lol...

Most importantly... YOU HAVE NO LIMIT except those you put on yourself... its a game for gods sake lol... in life we have limits in cars cause of fear... but fear isn't a factor here lol.... So your limit=cars limit so u need to find out what the cars limits are... believe me... in 2 weeks... your absolutely no where near it. lol

lmao you don't know much about diesels do you srdsprinter.... V12 diesel... the torquest enging you can get... n u wanna rotary lol... ur thinking of lil farting city bombs with diesel.... not a thing like a high performance diesel... however it has a very specific use... not something u'd slop in a f1 car... but long endurance races that needs alot of very high acceleration and alot of high speed and super reliability. Thats HP Diesel..

Im in big favour for this idea...but not only should it be an animated crew... you should be assigned a box based on ur lfs stats relalative to rest of ppl in race... fastest lap time gets best box... last.. it also adds a new elemement... opening n closing pits, will mean pits will actually be hectic and u'd have to get in n out without hitting the ppl in frnt, behind... or those entering or leaving... much more interesting/realistic.. and no hit at all on frame rate.. all the box choice stuff is assigned by insim at start of race... we all just get told wot box is ours if pits are active... got help u if u miss it lol...

tell u this... if they do it at all... they better give it decent lights on the cars... not those crappy NFS type lights that only show just in frnt of the car... should be like real lights, with long high beam that shows up the fathest u can see like normal car lights... or better.

Really, you won't get far with the keyboard. At least use the mouse as kaynd said... least then you'll have analogue steering, and you'll get smoother n faster. Alot of the fastest drivers use mouse.. don't know of one that uses keyboard.

You can't see ur server on your puter, if the server is also on your computer. However, since your S2 licenced, in your email giving u ur code, there should be a link to a desktop... there you will be able to see it, and a heap of other good stuff.

I hate to mention something silly... but have you set FF, and have you actually gone out on the track and driven it? If you turn it on, and just turn the wheel, there will be No force feedback. You have to actually be driving for it work lol... least in my wheel.. obvious I know... but it caught me out earlier lol...

I have... I went thru my system from top to bottom.... nothing is loaded... exited firewall, disabled anti virus, closed off most of items listed under me in task manager (those that could be safely turned off - basically leaving explorer and something called ccapp.exe. Jeez I even tried disabling the page file. Nothing works. It happens even in W41 patch. There is absolutely nothing but basic windows operating. So I'm damned if I know, there's nothing in windows that could be causing it. Everythings closed or disabled (anti virus) and no background process's.

In the formula cars, there is no brake light... and you shouldn't be relying on someones brake light anyway, but braking at ur own braking point... u know where it is, and u know u can brake a lil beyond it lol . As for lag, no one has complained that I lag in redline... in fact my lag meter is always in green.

But ping limiting, doesn't take that into account.

How about a pro setting? So when every guest logs in, if his PB is better than some set time, he can join to race, otherwise he has to spectate. Of course, it would be up to the host to decide if he wanted his server pro or not.
