A belated happy birthday NDR!

I apologise for the bump but I had chime in. Karting today with Wilko reminded me about all this, good times! Hope everyone's doing well

Thanks so much to everyone in and around NDR, whether they were adminning, racing, crashing, commentating, arguing or eating dinner. Thanks for providing some top-notch leagues, then taking me on board - and sorry for not sticking around! Those few months were great fun though, I'd love to get involved again some day. It's a pity LFS has stagnated as NDR has got better and better. We'll get back to the glory days at some point.

So here's to another 5 years! And remember these words of wisdom: Drafting works like a potato.

E: Ooh, I'll have to pop on to this mad crazy DEATH RALLY server that's all the rage these days.

Because I feel like summing it up:

Quote from The rule that was broken, Article 6.6.2. :Competitors must ensure that a one litre sample of fuel may be taken from the car at any time during the Event.

Except in cases of force majeure (accepted as such by the stewards of the meeting), if a sample of fuel is required after a practice session the car concerned must have first been driven back to the pits under its own power.

Quote from What Gary Anderson said went wrong. :The fuel rig guy put the rig on, but he had the handle set to drain fuel. He discovered his mistake and switched it to put fuel in the car. But as a result he didn't put as much fuel in it as he should have. You have to be able to drive back to the pit-lane and have one litre of fuel left for the FIA to test. He went across the start-finish line 20 seconds before the chequered flag but if they had sat in the garage for three or four more seconds to get more fuel in, they still would have had time to cross the line and complete another flying lap. Sometimes I don't think McLaren think on their feet.

It seems that Sam Michael told the stewards Lewis stopping was a case of force majeure because of this individual. I don't know whether complete exclusion from the results is the default penalty, but if the stewards could have just excluded his times while he was running with too little fuel (leaving him 6th), Sam Michael telling them nonsense may have tipped the scales (as well as the fact that it was McLaren that caused this rule to be created!) Whitmarsh also talked about it being a 'technical fault'. Doesn't reflect well on those two.

Additionally, I believe that this means Jenson Button has the highest qualifying average this season: 4.8. No really.

RIP Joe.

This is horrible news about a great member of the community. Saw him race a few times but never got to meet him. Thoughts go out to his friends and family, and count me in for any tribute - it'd be great to show how he was really valued by a whole load of people across the world!

Quote from Flame CZE :I am so sorry about that incident, I started braking a bit later than you and that didn't end up well, my fault. I tried to turn you back to the race direction but didnt help, sorry again.

Oh I'm not talking about you! I ended up on my roof after a big crash with someone recovering a few laps before the end. I want to call our crash a racing incident - I did brake very early, after all. Was nice racing with you

Cheers for putting this on! Not the cleanest of races, but I suppose that comes with the track - hope it tends to be cleaner in this half-series fun race whatsit. Unhappy about being taken out, but what can you do. Hope some of you enjoyed that! Just nice to be back racing for me though.

Nasty accident, fire is always a scary thing and apparently it was 37G. 5* for safety standards.

I'm afraid that wasn't the worst accident of the weekend though, this happened in the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia at Imola. Somehow and thankfully everyone was okay:

Almost unbelievable to see him get out of the car and walk across the track on his own after that. We've seen a few bad incidents there. Yes, it's concrete he impacted.

I feel a little late to the party! Thank you for this, FPS improvements will be a help on my wheezing, steaming laptop. And the barriers - my god! Brilliant!

Wow! I really, really like these. They're relaxing to listen to as Hahmo said, then certain parts just blow me away. Very well written. I also have a bit of a man-crush on your voice

Quote from 5haz :Fu Manchu < Kyuss

You said it! Not a Fu Manchu fan, though I've ony got California Crossing. Weird thing, I haven't been on this forum for a while, but when I take a look now I find this while listening to Kyuss...

Also, I got tickets this morning to see QOTSA @ Manchester doing their S/T tour!

Kubica has always been one of my favourite drivers, this is awful for him. It's good news there'll be no amputation, but doctors are specifically working on keeping functionality in his hand - let's hope it will turn out okay. The leg break is also very nasty. He won't be racing for a while.

But thank god it wasn't worse than it is:

The Porsches are crap. I would write a long post about it but...no. They've been better this year admittedly but it really gets tiring when ITV harp on about them being amazing. It's quite fun to see them zooming around in the flesh but it doesn't translate to TV that well and that isn't really the point, especially in tin-top racing. Plus, they may be bunched up occasionally but if there's no overtaking it does seem a little pointless.

Let's look at it like this: we were the better team and we scored both goals.

Oh well.

Nice drift! And a very big crash. Pocono's always struck me as pretty dangerous with its long straights, tight turns, little banking and little catch fencing. I do love the bushes and general greenery planted by the side.

Bumping this, watched and sent links around myself. I'm not the biggest dog person but I still love them, I've donated quite a lot to my local shelter and always get rescued cats - 4 in my lifetime, got 2 currently and they're lovely.

Great work, people.
