Thank you Bob for a very interesting thread. Congrats to the whole LFS community, as an old member I'm very glad to see that the word is still spreading .
I remember myself having this issue some long time ago. Well as far as I remember it took me one evening to get over this. The sooner you do this, the sooner you'll have more fun while racing, so just do it.
I'm sure this will never happen . However making LFS more allround racing simulator is not a bad idea, adding some more autocross layouts would be a great thing, because now we have only a few, what is obviously not enough for serious rallycrossing .
Well, I've seen you guys arguing there on server yesterday. The thing is that you both were wrong. I suggest to forget this, as you said, the track is for racing, message bord is for discussion, let the admins do the rest, use reporting system when you think it's necessary. This is the simplest and the best way solving this kind of problems. This thread or a word battle like yesterday won't change anything and that's for sure .
however, there is a place where you can find some secret X2 system related information, but be very careful, you never know what traps Sam with his gang mambers might have set for those who will dare to seek for the secret information
So, here it is: http://www.ukct.net/ and REMEMBER, I don't know you, you don't know me, kapish? :hide: :shhh:
Edit: Damn, why am I so slow? I was just searching for some nice smilies
Oh, I see this is a bug indeed as this is happening on other servers as well. Currently my friend is stuck on Redline Racing 3 (davke is his username). This continues from yesterday's evening, nobody is able to join the server, what is more davke is unable to play the game online at all, because he's still online according to system but he isn't actually for more than a day!
Does anybody know a way to solve this? I've already tried to contact server admin via his email, but no response yet...
Well I do not agree with this, I don't see what's the point doing this, FBM would be completely uncompetitive on SS2.
I'd like to agree with this point of view. Actually I don't know any of formula racing leagues, where multiclass racing is allowed (in real life as well) and I see why, it's pointless racing with such a different cars at the same time, doesn't matter that FO8 is restricted, it's still way more faster than FOX and the racing is imposible between these two cars...
If this would be up to me, I'd would remove FjR from CTRA at all, leaving SS2 as single-class server and probably I'd remove BF1 from SS3, leaving it for FO8 only. Or even I'd remove FOX from SS2 leaving there unrestricted FO8 and BF1 on SS3, this would be ideal for me, but I'm sure this will never happen .
Go to your User Control Panel (User CP), then select Edit Options > Messaging & Notification > Default Thread Subscription Mode and choose no email notification option there > finally save your new settings. After this you'll get subscribed to every thread you'll post in. When anybody will post into your subscribed thread it will appear in your New Subscribed Threads list, which is in your main User Control Panel page.
That's a pretty cool feature, browsing forums without this would be a lot more complicated, at least to me
You can log on into lfsworld.net press "LFS Racers Database" then "Stats" tab and there you can find a Racer-age graph, where you can see that here we have many elder racers, not youngsters only
Yeah, that was my first thought too when I saw this accident
The race was good, it was good to see many teams being able to fight, I'm very glad to see BMW and Williams at such a good form already at the beginning of the season. The race was a shame for the whole Ferrari including its pilots. I've always knew that Massa is a poor driver when it comes to racing, but lol, today it was more obvious than ever before. Kimi was quite fast and competitive, however these huge mistakes would not have left him any chances on fighting for points if not the SC.
It's also a shame for Barichello who just missed such a good opportunity to score many points with HONDA and I'm also very sad about the Sebastian, damn it was his debut and only ~5 laps left his FERRARI engine surrendered while he was 4th...
All in all, it was a good start of a new season, it was also quite weird to see such a small number of cars crossing the finish line .
Eh, I'd love to, but I'm still 1,481 points away from my International B .
The other thing is that there are only 18 drivers that are able to race on SS3, while there are already more than 100 racers that have National A, so it's natural that SS2 is getting more and more populated. I think this is going to happen on SS3 in a month or so as well .
Everything was just perfect, the racing quality was simply awesome, I would really like to say thanks to all of those who were on server today and I'm looking forward to racing on a full server again soon
