when i bought my wheel i went into heavy depression trying to get a good laptime, so i took it off desk and didnt play lfs for a month. then i came back, always started first and started learning. The hardest thing was, how to keep the car under control once it starts going away from you, you just need to get that feeling into yourself. Also the braking, gas out of corners, shifting gears, the whole concept of turning with wheel, its different.

So like 2 months after i bought my first wheel i did a new pb for the first time, it was on westhill with fox and i felt for the first time that it was worth it.

so i wouldnt expect to be faster immediately, but be patient, put in some practice and it will all come your way.

well, there are some things id do before buying new wheel

1. practice practice practice
2. watch faster racer lines, you might be driving a wrong line
3. try to get a better, faster set, it might be that you arent using the best set, so therefore u get slower times
4. try to make a hotlap and then compare your spr with wr's, so you will see what and where are you driving different than wr is.

all of that is easier then just getting the new wheel. and it will most probably make you faster than a wheel would. and as for wheels, im Logitech DF GT user, its a big step over FF EX i had before, gained around 3-4 tenths on my pbs depending on track, so yes, a better wheel can get you better times, but there are other (more important) ways to lower your pb, because good wheel cant make a shit set go faster.

i take it as a positive, 20+ racers on not multiclass server only doing pick up racing. i like it.

so, what is it actually? im curious, some kind of league or what?

If i got it right, its the company responsible for many of the finnish players in lfs?

thought, if you look from that perspective why would a driver that doesnt really know you at all ( dino ) do that. Not to point out that he was actually lapping the track at that moment, so driving around + hacking is quite something :P

senna and heidfeld arent even competing for a place, place was always going to be for Nick, as long as he didnt mess up. Doing the time he did, and making no mistake, means he gets the place.


If i have to watch a season without Kubica, id rather do it watching Nick than anyone else.

If any of you guys would like to help me, it would be very nice.

Except racing in fun racing league, almost all of my racing was done on public servers. So now id like to join into some league action, but im totally uninformed about what league uses what car, track, when do they start (in a year), what time of a week do they run, is it a 1 race per week, or 1 race per 2 weeks, is it a sprint race or endurance, and kinda most important, the level of competition on it and also the quality of admins.

As some of this stuff comes only from experience, id like to ask fellow drivers what leagues would fit my requests.

1. I cant drive on friday or saturday night or during day any day. So from 20:00 onwards weekdays + sunday works for me.

2. Im kinda lone lfs racer in my team, so cant really play in leagues where you need more guys from team. Endurance that is.

3. I dont like fwd cars except xgt, and i dont like mrt.

4. I like all the rest, raceabout is most fun to drive, and im fastest with FOX.

5. Would rather like longer races, over 1 hour, up to 3 hour mark, than sprint races.

6. Clean racing is a must.

in real car its the first thing i put on after turning on the engine (actually, radio turns on automatically ). In LFS it just bothers me.

He is not releasing stuff very often, only 6 tracks till now (Without the test area) So he might work on the new content but it doesnt mean LFS will swarm with new tracks or cars, in fact this probably means we will get one new track with scirocco and two tracks later (Since S1/2 have 3 tracks each i think this would be the case in S3 also)

So the only way you can get more content is either trough modding or hiring more devs, and neither of them look like a possible occurrence by now.
Yes there will be more content but one new car/track every two years doesnt really look like all that much content.

Edit: Unless modding will be allowed in S3 as Scaven mentioned once (Which is actually make sense because why S1 or S2 users would buy S3 when they can just mod S1 to beat S3 in therms of content.

On the side note I wonder how much this tyre physics change car behaviour I mean its only a tyre and LFS was pretty realistic already so I wouldnt expect anything radical here.

while your point of only 6 tracks is valid, those layouts are really awesome! Tell me who wouldnt want to race a real car around as7, fe2 or ky3r for instance. So me personally, im more than happy with having less tracks but them being absolutely awesome than having alot of shit tracks.


That being said, good luck on your future work guys, I enjoy LFS almost every day, so the tyre patch isnt so important to me, but its a goal for you guys, and goals are always good to have (and finish i might say). Have a nice and relaxing holidays!

disclaimer : im not saying that he is faster than everyone with wheel, but he is easily in top 5% of fox drivers and can race with no problems, doesnt crash etc.
