I personally think that the nicest car in LFS is the BF1, it is the most recent addition and looks the best. I hardly ever race the BF1 though. My second choice would be the FXO GTR or the XR GTR which both look great.
Just trying to catch up with the forum developments after my 9 day trip abroad.
IMO i would scrap GPL from the list, unless the majority of people attending the meet would have some GPL experience. I mean the combination of GPL + Newb = track mayhem. GPL is quite a difficult sim to get use to if you have never played it before which could cause the races to be a bit messy.
I myself have played gpl a few years ago but not seriously enough to consider myself to be quick.
I would be pro for scrapping GPL and having justa Pure LFS meet.
Yeah the McLaren looks very nice. Ive seen the new ferrari colours and that also looks good. They finally got rid of the white on their car and have gone for all red with yellow.
I am sorry to be so blunt but........ the Blackwood texture of the rally track is absolutely horrible. It doesn't look realistic, tiling is too obvious and the tyre tracks in the mud look too BIG...
I do quite like the bricks idea but they do seem a little too bright and rich on colour, you should take a stroll outside and observe the colours you see around and take notes on colours! tarmac textures look interesting too, will give them a go later..
My New Years Resolution is to loose a bit of weight as Xmas has managed to put some on me but mainly to get fit and do some exercise reguraly every week. Ideally play some team sport.
a very handy feature packed little thing. Most precious thing on it is Duke Nukem 3D.... ohh yes thats right! and Doom!
mad
edit: Just read Bobs post.
referring to my godly phone? hehe Ok so having Duke Nukem 3D on your phone isnt the most important thing but sure damn is fun during those very booring and unentertaining periods on trains, busses or the minutes spent waiting for women to get ready! Not that I had to do too much of the last point
Yeah watched it too. Mr Woss managed to put a few interesting questions to him too. Its quite amazing that he survived it. From the outside he looks 100% fine which is just astonishing. On the inside though the brain took a battering. He said him self that he cannot remember stuff.
Ohh and did anyone notice his chipped tooth? I remember Clarkson mention it in some interview!
Over last last few days I have been playing lfs version 0.04Q and S1 and when you go from playing those to the latest patch V version, ohhhhhhhhhhh boy, man such an improvement its unbelivable.
I urge everyone to play earlier version of lfs and the come back to V and see what you think.
I also think all this negativity and unsureness about the new sounds is around because everyone was so use to the older ones. It will take time to get use to and eventually it will grow on people.
After a filling christmas dinner I decided to boot up LFS and join a few races online when this started happening (see video).
When clicking "display list of games" I get the "game password does not match" error everytime. I have tried reloading lfs a number of times, turned off firewalls and antivirus software so the only program that was running was LFS and fraps but still get the error.
well what were you expecting. You thought just by comming to the forum and asking for a license will make some lfs Santa get you one.
Afraid it doesnt work like that my friend. If you contributed to the community in some way then maybe some one would consider it but you are quite new so I guess other people who are more long term here would get priority over you.
I do admire your effort and the guts to actually ask though.
You never know, if you included it on your christmas wish list to Santa then you may get it, thats if Santa is up to date with technological advances and actually uses the net!
Firstly Scawen thanks for the update, all of the sounds have greatly immroved especially if you compare it with u33. Actualy it has been a massive improvement and the stage we are at now is very good.
On the FXO front i do hear some strange things happening after about 7000rpm like others have just mentioned but apart from that all cars sound good.
Mrt5 has really changed a lot and the gear whine on that is something to get use to.
Hello, u36 i thought improved the majority of cars. It just goes to show how everyone has different opinions of whats sounds correct. At this rate Scawen will be adjusting the sounds all the time and someone will always find something wrong with them.
I was wondering though whether anyone knew where i could get hold of u30,u31,u32,u33,u34,u35 test patches? I would like to do more comparing and a few tests for my own pleasure.
If anyone has links could you please pm me.. cheers
