Quote from kidzer :Ah, well at the moment i'm 9 stone and have a BMI of 20 so I dont think i'm doing too badly

Thats not a bad weight but your weight doesnt really determine whether your diet is good or bad. Its whether you are giving youbody enough vitamins and minerals for it to fight bacteria and viruses. Most important thing is to eat the right food that will keep your immune system in tip top shape. I myself eat a lot of garlic and onion and these two are number one for immune system strength, I make myself a salad with raw onions and then maybe a toast on which i fresh squeeze some raw garlic mhmhmhmh

I also eat a lot of vegetables and fruit and i havent been ill for about 6 years untill January this year. I was going through a busy time with group projects at uni and i wasnt getting enough sleep and proper food and this lasted about 4 weeks. My sleep deprevation was severe as i would only have 10 hours sleep in 5 days which totaly screwed me up and after the project was handed in my body collapsed and i fell ill with quite a severe flu and i needed antibiotics to fight it. Took 3 weeks for it to go. During that time i would only eat those horrid tesco sandwitches, few pizzas, chips and so on...

Body just cannot cope with all that shite, it needs its supply of vitamins and minerals for self repair and maintenance.

Now my typical day starts with a glass of orange juice, a bowl of Musli and maybe a joghurt. Lunch some light snack, a sarnie with lettuce tomatoes and quorn. Evening I make myself fresh salad consisting of lettuce, tomantoes, cucumber, radish, some onion on which i then pour a vinergar dressing.

nmnmnnmn.. yum

lol that is great fun, when i was burning out a wasps nest in the ground i placed it over the hole and held the fry button and man, did it pop. Did ran away soon after incase the batteries ran out.

The best thing is if you are trying to catch flies with it, sometimes they get stuck to it and if you hold it long enough they start to smoke and then they pop. The smell is quite disghusting.

Yeah these things are very cheap, they also give a right good punch when you touch it, it makes you shake! :hyper:

And sorry for my ignorance, but what's IBS?

:ices_rofl other tool..

you know theres some kind method as part of a detox to clear out your large intestine which i saw on tv on Richard and Judy i believe. They shove a small tube, well 2 tubes up ur arse, one that pumps water in and another that pups stuff out. It looked disghusting and the way the tv presenter pointed out the chunks flowing through the clear tube.... ewwwwww

this is genuine, I just cant remember what they call it...

I also dont worry too much about an attack here even though we have had the 7/7 bombing but i am talking about the city. Although Portsmouth is a naval base it could possibly be a target but i do not let the thought of a terrorist attack happening here enter my mind. You cant live your life and fear that an terrorist attack is going to happen. This makes makes the terrorist win as they would win on psychological basis. Analyzing whether the UK is more likely to be a victim of terrorist, yes more likely now with the two wars and constant support for America and Israel.

I am more worried about the nuclear submarines that are docked here in the harbour about half a mile from the house than terrorists stricking Portsmouth.

Some one above said that we should fear history, i think we shouldnt fear it but we should learn from it and amend our ways otherwise we will be looking at ww3 which by the way has already started with this war on terror which by the way will never be won unless all of the rich countries who think they rule this planet change their foreign policy and if you happen to live in one of those countries you will be more likely to suffer a terrorist attack.

Quote from NotAnIllusion :But, red ants. There I was minding my own business chatting away. I hadn't at all noticed the line of red ants traversing our compund's gate, where I was standing. All I felt was a little tickle in my pants, scratched it and.. YEOWWW!!!!! The midget monster bit me in the inside of my thigh, so I started frantically rubbing the spot hoping to crush the beast (they're not easy to kill, either). That's when I noticed what I was standing on, leaped off and ran back through the gate into the garden, trying to crush what felt must have been an entire colony of red ants in my pants.

I'm sure it must have looked quite very amusing as I couldn't make it back in the house before the pain became unbearable, stripped off my jeans in the middle of the garden trying to rid my precious family jewels from this invasion of the Red Army!

:ices_rofl i feel your pain just sitting here!! Its funny how everything in hot/dry/tropical countries so many of these bugs are atleast 4 times biggger than their european counterparts

Your story reminded me of a bee sting that i got 2 summers ago. In was in Czech republic and i want to on a tour of one historic Palace. When i got there the place was still shut and the quide was no where to be seen so to kill the 10 minutes before it opened i thought it would be a good idea to stroll through the lovely garden at the back of the palace. I noiced the place was quite full of bees as they were polinating the flowers on the grass. Not knowing at the time one of the bees must have crawled up my trousers as i walked over the lawn.

Killing 10 minutes i returned back to the front entrace where i met the quide before the hour long tour. Around 20 minutes into the tour i felt something tickeling me on my leg si i scratch, and it stopped so tour continued, moments later i felt it again so i scratch and suddenly.... the beast stung me!!! AUUUUUCH!! not knowing it was a bee and not a wast i just grabbed my trousers around the inside leg and just held it hoping i would squash it and kill it. Because its a bee their sting stays embeded into your skin and the bee dies but it means all of the poison gets injected unless you take the sting out. I did managed to get it but because i was in the middle of a tour i couldnt really get underessed so for the next 2hours i walked around not really knowing what bit me, but man when i did finally look there was a massive red swelling around the sting about 15 cm in diameter and was stinging like a biatch. The swelling and redness lasted about 4 weeks after that. Another painful experience and id hate to know what the guide woman thought about why i had my hands down my crotch!

I have been trying to think of what really bothers me the most that would be close to a phobia and i think I have found it. When i go on holiday to the sea, i tend to feel very very unconfortable when i swim far out into the ocean where the water below appears very dark blue. I hate the sense of not being able to see the bottom and i always have these thoughts that some shark will mistaken me for a seal and take a bite of my booty. I also dont like the sudden cold currents you swim through when you swim a serious depth... brrrrrr i wanna be able to seeee what isss beneath meeee at all timesssssss other wise i start to panic a little. Its SCARY :weeping:

Quote from MorroW :I think it wouldbe quite hard to make shirt what will last 2-3 year common wearing
I belive so big printed area will get cracks and bumps in few washing

Well what you could do is what me and bob have done... instead of having the designs printed with that plasticy coating which yes does crack, melt (ironing) tear off etc .. is actually get it printed with ink. Proper ink used on cloathing. Now there is a slight problem that we found out and that was that the ink slowly started to wash out with each wash and the colours faded a little. I think though if you get it printed by descent printers the shirts for you they will last a lot longer....

Having an LFS t-shirt would be cool. I recently made some shirt designs for me and bob which we poudly wore to the karting meet.

I would like to maybe see a LFS shirt design competition in which the arty or even the not so arty racers could submit a number of designs which represent lfs and then maybe we could get the devs to pick out what they think is the best design and then get some printed...

Those t-shirts you have designed there are quite nice and simple but i am not sure about the lx

Quote from the_angry_angel :I also have a fear of heights; but only where I can see through what I'm standing on. Such as steps with no backs to them (our clarkes shoe shop had the kids section downstairs when I was younger; with no backing to the stairs).

Thats quite interesting, over here in Portsmouth they have built a thing called the Spinnaker Tower which opened last year in november. It was meant to be called the millenium tower and open on new years 2000 but thats another story. I recently visited the tower as i thought i should as i live here, now i am not afraid of heights as such but at the top of the tower you have 3 floors to view the harbour and the city from and one of those floors has a small glass floor which you can stand on. Now as i said i am not scared by heights as such but standing on top of that with this view down below it made me feel very unconfortable. It was quite a strange feeling and i remember the only though strangely that was running through my head was the glass breaking and me falling through it, nevertheless i was manly and walked over it a few times.

I have actually over the last few minutes thought of something i dont like, wouldnt call it a phobia but for sum reason i hate going into lifts. As a kid in the czech republic my brother use to get me stuck in the lift where we lived all the time by pulling at the outside door of the lift when he knew i was inside which would cause it to stop. This was one of these old very old lifts with the door opening outwards.

@ Tristan about the spiders, I heard somewhere, think it might have been one of Attenborough's documentaries about how UK spiders are poisonous to a degree that it will have some effects on a human being. They even said that your average garden spider one that you find in your shed has enough poison to severely effect you only they dont have strong enough fangs to actually pearce your skin.

I myself dont have any phobias, I grew up living with such insects as my dad owned a summerhouse/weekend house which we would go to ever week and there i was able to see wasps, spiders and all sorts of bugs. I remember I use to catch wasps/flies/bugs and throw then into spiders webs around the house and see them come out wrap it round and eat it. Usually my tennis racket was enough to catch these bugs. Also had a wasp fly into my t-shirt whilst cycling down a hill once which wasnt too pleasant as before i could stop my bike and get it out of my shirt i received around 15 stings. I have been stung by all sorts of bugs, probably the worst and most painful was the red ants nest which i fell into, was curious so i was poking it with a stick but when i got up i slipped and fell on my arse right into the nest.. that hurt. Horse-fly is another painful biting insect that liked to suck my blood.

I am glad i dont have any phobias, makes me seem normal when a wasp flies into a room, everyone goes mad..its quite funny.

The insect i have most respect for is the Hornet they are about 4 times the size of a wasp and have a very very painful sting. They managed to build a nest in my dads loft and boy when he was smoking them out the noise was scary. Its like the whole roof was going to lift off..

I feel having grown in with nature make me understand it, respect it and there for i have no phobias...

Man, ok so i am back and reporting in after that saturday night out with Bob and co. Sunday was a helish day, not only were the beers making me all gasy inside and turning my room into a methane den, the spicy (very spicy) mexican that i had wasnt doing me good either.

When the time came it came fast and on 3 occasions and each one was felt. First one wasnt too bad, little spicy around the edges and the recycled bog role didnt help the matters but by the third later in the day the bog role felt like sandpaper... not to mention it was painful to be in teh sitting position..

my god if i have learnt anything from this.. is dont drink too much beer and each a spicy mexican the same night. It makes your arse BURN!
