So unless you've magically managed to make your computer go tits up it should work perfectly. Did you wait at all? There's no reason to bring up the results instantly, I've made it so that it waits untill the leader has crossed the s/f line. And on the first time you won't see any gaps because the app hasn't worked them out yet (because no full laps have been completed).
So wait for a while. If nothing comes up after an hour while the race has been going on, I'll pick my tech support hat up.
A few years back you could watch all the races (not quali and practice) free live.
Then you could watch all the races live on two channels simultaneously and quali / praccy on Eurosport. (though Eurosport in terrestrial isn't a free channel, you have to have some kind of a pay channel package for that).
Now I'm not sure if you can watch anything but MotoGP and that's on a pay channel that used to be a free channel but isn't / wasn't any of the free channels that had MotoGP in the past because those channel are/was still free.
A quick FAQ: How do I run this?
- See README-file. I've also copied it here below.
It doesn't work with fraps / procaster / full screen?
- Unfortunately no. This is because all of the above are / would require me to do a direct x hack which this is not. If you want to capture something I suggest you use either Windows media encoder (built-in screencapture) or Flash media encoder ( You might also like to see this screencapture driver:http://www.splitmedialabs.com/vh-video-sdk/vh-screen-capture)
The timing is not correct?
- Short answer: I know.
- Long answer: It is correct. It's just not the latest split time.
I'd like to suggest feature xxx you could implement...
- By all means. I might ignore it though. I have a long list of stuff that's still missing, it's far from ready (quite obviously).
So why publish something that is not finished?
- You're in the wrong forum for that question mate.
Wrong, Dorna didn't want to continue with Eurosport... Their coverage overall was too wide so instead Dorna preferred local tv stations which presumably means more money for them.
Actually, and I'm ashamed to admit it, that is partly my fault:
When this 'service' started a year or two ago, before it was marketed on tv, Victor posted the news here. So a lot of LFS forum regulars, including me, checked it out. Then after trying it out, I noticed how all the names in the connection list are yellow. Everyone was connected with the admin password. Of course because most people using the 'service' were complete lfsn00bs no one naturally knew how to exploit this.
Then I was a bit of a twat and told Vic to tell them to stop having everyone connected with the admin password.
