To those asking about drivers and software this wheel uses the Microsoft xbox 360 controller driver and does not have its own specific built driver nor does it have any software related to it.
The only possible thing I could think of causing this is the variable switch/dial sticking which would require you to take the casing from around the wheel and cleaning/
Its a fairly simple job to do and I have had to do it myself a while ago
The only thing that may be a problem or result with allowing mods is something that happens in assetto corsa and that is there are many good mods that just do not get used online.
Until the amount of people that race online increases it could negatively impact the amount of users per aerver that we currently see but I guess its a gamble that could go either way
gamepad has worked perfectly for me for the past 5-6 years(266744 Ml) with the only the analogue steer smooth being the only option changed in setttings
keep trying and you will succeed, before you become much faster you will hit a point where it seems like you cannot progress and will be very frustrating for you but don't give up. ive done over 48000 laps with fbm on blackwood and over time have seen many people in the same situation as yourself and seen that persistence and staying focused and the right setup will go a long way
If you need any help with car setups let me know and I will be happy to send you some
anything altered such as rim textures ect are only visible on your screen unless the other players have them installed also
The only thing that is visible are skins if uploaded to lfsworld
you can alter any textures which are in the lfs/data/dds folder along with any in the lfs/data/pic folder but when it comes to the car models it is forbidden to remodel if they are to be used ingame.
For rendering ect I believe you can download some which are in a format which
can be imported and used in a 3d modelling application but I cannot remember where I had seen them but I'm sure someone will point you in the right direction
Real cars have handbrakes so why not be able to use them also if you disable the use of handbrakes for the other cars it could mess it up for rally also for drifters
they will be very expensive hence why their current customers are companies such as NASA and google and scientist although it would be cool to see one in action
loving rockingham it has certainly rekindled my passion for racing in lfs. merry Christmas and all the best for the new year
@ mr looney
If a car is still to be released as part of s3 then the tyre model/physics would probably be essential other wise it would not give a close to effect of driving/handling of the real thing
there is a cracked version of I-racing which has been around for years but obviously you cant race online against others and it must build a local server (on your machine)
[ EDIT by Scawen - removed text here - too much information ]
you are able to do most of the things you mention above with VR, Also depends of what type of programs you mean and finally it is 2 different types of products and you would not buy a virtual reality set if all you wanted was the head tracking onscreen where a vr kit gives you the tracking and virtual world
