The only setting i prefer different is the auto center return i prefer at 0, i think the only way to get it right for your preference is to keep altering it and testing in-game Smile

The Thrustmaster TMX is known for having a lighter feeling FFB, what setting do you have in the wheel control panel, i remember others saying anywhere between 14 - 100 in game with 100 in the wheel Control Panel, 20-30 seemed ok to me when i last tried the same wheel while using 450 degrees turn with the FBM

My old intel core 2 quad q6600 had a score of just over 900 for the single thread score. It easily ran LFS very easily. I know my CPU was a quad core but LFS does not take advantage of the extra cores

I played a lot of battlefield 4 using that processor(even though it probably was made to take advantage of more than one core) and bf4 is known for not being very optimized and it ran it at a decent FPS

My uncle ran a game night/cafe here in the uk for a number of years,it was fairly popular with teens. It was a fair few years ago though and he used to run a knockout round for near the end of the night on a rotation of streetfighter and mario kart(shows how long ago) and the main winner would win a couple of uk pounds which was basically what they paid to get in plus an extra pound on top. Not a lot by all means but when you include the fun we had at the same time it made it worthwhile

If possible it would be good if you could get permission for something like fortnite or even some games on the old nintendo Wii as then if someone attended with a girlfriend that is not interested in racing they could choose something else

Quote from MousemanLV :Most of them are nonames, except for SL and Botsi Shrug And how many of them finish the actual race? How long is the actual race tho.

Try to replicate it with a sign-up system via LFSforums.

PMSL - nobodies as you are one? id like to see you beat most of them, a few WR holders take part and many can keep up with them. I also can tell you that the majority of our team members who take part have more laps driven races won and !ex than most racers that you know, also many are very close to WR times

Races are 25 laps and the majority of racers finish, obviously a couple will either lose connection mid race or rage quit but no more than a few

Wr holder MRc Gemini runs the events, and is successful at doing so

This is not meant as an insult but obviously you really know little about the actual LFS community, you believe that you know the only good racers and everyone else is crap, could not be so far from the truth and LFS does suffer because people such as yourself go around making false statements which then others read and believe before they have even tried LFS

I would get it now then, the pound has been on the rise overall this month and is set to improve even more , It is now up 0.7% at $1.23 after MPs voted on Wednesday to pass a bill to prevent a no-deal Brexit. Always best to check the current facts as it forever changing Smile

LFS does have the right features and feeling for extra fun like car-soccer and i think autocross is one of its strengths, i could never imagine such features working as well in a.c or pcars.

Good luck to all and remember that you do not need to be the fastest to win, racing more often than others also can get you to the top

It could work well in lan racing with friends or single player against AI racing, but within online multiplayer it would be unfair and be a classic definition of what a cheat achieves with someone having an unfair advantage over another even if they happen to be the losing player

i play exactly the same games and all work very well, LFS running much better than the others in VR for me though.

Do you get the same problem if you try hotlap or single player mode ?

It still would be penalising someone for being better, it is something you would expect in NFS, remember we all started of as a beginner and only got to the stages we are at now due to hard work and not giving up without the need to use something as a crutch

Quote from MousemanLV :Yes, a full-grid demo server LMAO

As everything that you seem to state recently you happen to be incorrect once again LMAO, i am on about our licensed event race every week. Its OK ill informed people who have no idea what they are talking about or do not bother to actually think before typing are bound to get things wrong at times

The only thing to laugh as it yourself dude Smile but nice try

Example and this is every week, look at attachment(this is even lower than normal)

Quote from UnknownMaster21 :how so?

Because where is the realism in what is proposed , people put time and effort into learning to improve their racing and this is a lazy way bypassing any skill . It would no longer be a racing simulator. Its the wanting to be a winner and beat those ahead that gives us the drive(no pun) to improve
If instead all we need to do is wait until the leader starts to lose power to catch up then there is no need to improve anymore and just wait for the faster racer to make the odd mistake to beat him even though we can be driving like crap

Quote from hot00frb :So Iv tested it with another rift , it’s def the game . My other sims work flawless. I’ll try to do a through the lens tonight.

How can it be the game if it works for others better than it is for you ?. The only thing we have different is hardware and how the system is setup. Do you have steamVR or steam running in the background as that can greatly mess with the fps ? Also your refresh rate and FPS should be lock by LFS when your in VR mode

The only real time i suffer a freeze for a ms or 2 is sometimes when someone joins the server or leaves the pits but that has also been noted by some non VR users

Quote from rapapar :Hello,
I have the same issue, I really love LFS and my 980ti [email protected] can runs it at hundreads of FPS, but I have headacke after 5/10minutes because of this laggy style fx Frown
I'll try to lower FPS to 50hz anywhere in the config.

Thanks to dev team to take time to answer us Smile

must be something set incorrectly, mine seems to be running good, occasionally it falls below the fps which it is locked at for vr but it is not often Smile

Quote from Racer Y :Where I live is an area with a strange phenomenon. It can rain on one side of the street and not the other.
I've seen it rain in one person's backyard and their yard only at almost the exact same time of day for like a week. So where I'm from your westhill example isn't all that drastic. In fact, it kinda sounds like a good idea.

happens here, rain has to start somewhere and end somewhere and it does not have to happen gradually, it is a strange thing to look still Smile

Quote from MousemanLV :Knowing what kind of leagues Kiste has done in iR, you cannot convince him by saying that LFS has decent leagues, because it's false. Yeah the racing might be good but iR offers that atmosphere that screams for competition. In LFS tho it's just grandpas racing.

In LFS any event with a full grid of good racers is enjoyable and happens every week, the only difference is do i want to pay to play and race in events with a full grid or do i want to race in an event with a full grid for pay only once for my license

I-racing has many good points but nothing that could not be replicated. The majority of people i know that race on it do so just for oval racing, also the structure of I-racing's license and safety system can work well.

I just cannot pay for a game until i either finish gaming or until the day i die

Quote from Arnoldio :OP is saying, seeing cars go sideways is ridiculous. The slip angle is forgiving and useful, albeit not realistic. Also evident on BL1 last turn with FMB - fast guys chuck the car in.

Maybe the sidewalls offer too much grip, traction break doesn't come into effect quickly enough. Although I like the "chuckability" of LFS cars as it's almost too easy, compared to AC for example... I don't know, I can drift in LFS whenever I want, but in AC, I couldnt do 4 connected corners with a drift tuned M3 E30 that comes with the base game. Although I don't like AC's physics, I am willing to admit that they are probably more right in this case.

You see all those drivers with FWD, RWD and AWD cars doing tankslappers on tourist nordschleife videos, no matter what tires they use. When was the last time you got a tankslapper in LFS?

You see it with the FBM ? Not in the WR replay, also it seems some are confusing the tires screeching as sliding. A.C is a semi decent game but the physics and overall handling is much worse than LFS has ever been.

Quote from bbman :Fair enough, I see what you mean. There is an argument to be made that those slides around tight corners are used in real racing too, but that would incur penalties such as accelerated tyre wear and heat which we know aren't quite right in LfS.

It might be a problem in short-timed pickup racing, but surely that should drop away with any decent lap count?

it could be faster in real life on short sharp corners as you carry can carry a much faster speed and even with the loss of a little forward motion you still take the corner faster, i have seen it done in the BTCC and i am sure it can be likened to when its rally on tarmac
