trust me using automatic itself will make you so much slower.id say it would be best to use manual.i understand that its an extra thing to think about while driving but it will become second nature,
il look through my replays and find some that show the line correctly then send to you
i just use the sound of the engine for shifting-and always keeping the revs low on entry to a bend unless its a flat out bend.
id say its theres more chance it being down to the suspension settings ect, ive used 6-6 wing and got the same laptimes as with 5-4.obviously the right wing setting would help to get the better approach also i guess that having the preload set too high could possibly cause too much spin,(im not 100% sure if it does but il do a couple of test.also try to keep all movements of the steering as smooth as possible
another thing if your using 3rd gear as you go over the bump that could cause too much spin, use 4th gear as you get an extra little boost when hitting the kerb.
ive helped a few racers on our servers to improve there laptimes and most of them have even beat my pb time. good luck and let me know if i can help in any way and id be happy to
i used to think the same when watching the faster racers, all i can advise is to find a setup that you feel at ease with and most importantly relax while racing also another problem i had at first was going a little too fast and late into corners, il pm you a link with a few setups that ive collected over the past 2 years and you can see if theres one that you like and if you like to id meet you on a server and see if i can see where you may be going wrong,
im not one of faster racers(1.12.62pb) but ive done my fair share of laps so hopefully could help
ive over 40.000 laps on fbm on blackwood and still dont always get it right for sc1
not all demo servers are like that i can guarantee. first thing that i would say to do is check for server rules usually can be done by typing !rules and/or press shift+i then look for a tab saying rules
and just let it be known that you are a new racer and if your still getting to grips with controlling the car it may be best to hold back for a few races while you get used to it and dont be afraid of asking for help(while some may ignore you, someone will probably help) and finally if you do cause a crash then saying a quick sorry can help show that no bad intentions, limads and admins sometimes need to make quick decisions if the server is busy and sometimes mistakes are made
sorry i only just go around to testing. very good and clean textures, with no problems found as of yet. i look forward to any more future releases you make.
its why many dont bother posting here in the forums. always half witted immature people who act like children end up spamming and ruinning a thread.sorry if offended guys but in all honesty if was you that had made a topic about a genuine problem it would piss you off if people spammed it
the thing is a victim is a victim in the real world and it doesnt matter how one was duped by someone its still a bad thing to do,you never see the cops say ohh well it was there own fault end of story.
all i can say is that you would have learned from this and hopefully the nugget who stole your account somehow suffers a similar thing or worse,i wont have any pity for him
enjoy yourself now you have your account back and be wiser, all the best of luck to you
i have started to use fbm on other tracks recently and it is beguinning to help, i think one of my main problems is concentration(focus) which mine is easily distracted so i guess i also need to work on that little, thankyou and all help/advice is always appreciated. one thing i know would probably help me is to get involved in a league of some sort and is something i may look into,il be nowhere near fast enough to be good competition but it would be about learning/progress
at egghed6 - its quite a lot of laps and i only started fbm about a year and half ago, ive altogether done 79165 laps since starting lfs in 2010.ive really only just started to explore most of the other tracks aswell,
if you lightened the blue a bit on the new version then it would would look better,it just seems a little bit too dark blue, for example in following pic the blue looks lighter a bit, also i suppose they will look different when using compared to the one in the image posted at the bottom of my post,
btw great work up to now and i look forward to any more you make.thankyou
that strategy works for so long then you hit a brick wall and cant seem to improve and its usually down to the smallest thing , ive done 41927 laps on blackwood with fbm and been stuck at my pb 1.12.62 for a while and being in the same situation as the o.p
best of luck monsterrocks im sure through determination you will beat your pb
