The most exciting OW race I saw recently was a GP2 race some months ago. I can't remember which one it was ATM, but it had me nearly as much excited as a typical MotoGP race.

To tell you the truth, I was curious before as to why so many domain names exist.
They could all be together under a main secondary-level domain, making it perfectly clear (esp. for the newbies) that they are the official ones:
world.liveforspeed.net (or stats.)
forum.liveforspeed.net
manual.liveforspeed.net (or wiki.)
Not that it bothers me as it is now... :-)

But the greek police instead helped him reach the service park instead of what UK police would have done the minute he entered a public road in this mess.
So the FIA woke up and made it a rally regulation, rather than leaving it up to the local authorities. Rightfuly so, IMHO.

A lot of greeks from the automotive-enthusiasts forum http://www.4troxoi.gr/forum/ have got S2 licences and are gathering to the respective server. There's also a team attempting to bring us all together, http://gvrteam.wordpress.com .
I regard that as a feature.

Note that the Tesla Roadster, from what I've heard in the videos that are circulating in youtube et al, does have a pretty nice sound....

I am only guessing here, but if you have a somewhat modern electric tram in your town, you should get an idea of the sound of the Tesla.

I'd like to see how they can keep the weight down and the dimensions pretty much intact, with the added requirements of the hybrid powerplant.
Exactly, two of the [noobs] servers have been running in a headless Debian box with WINE, and they have excellent uptime.
Since patch U30, the dedicated server does not freeze after some days by itself, like it did before that.
traxxion - go for it, it's very easy and stable. Just make sure you use the latest version of dedicated server (e.g patch V).

The 2006 layout was supposed to make it more interesting by keeping the two cars in parallel for more time.
For what it's worth, I was at the 2005 SSS, it was great atmosphere. In 2006, the "organizers" saw that there were a lot of people interested in this "rally stuff" and they wanted to make more money out of it. So they decided to beef up the ticket price (from 20 to 30 euros), organize _two_ super-specials, on Thursday and on Sunday, and that's why in 2006 the stadium was pretty much empty both times...
