Quote from GianniC :Would a small swear word on the podium indeed be headline news in the USA?

Well, those yanks usually file lawsuits on anything as small as a name coincidence (F150 anyone?). I could seriously see hundreds of "disgruntled" parents taking Kimi and Vettel to court because their children heard them swearing.
Quote from Mustafur :Keep in mind which country your talking about, compare that to here where its basically our culture.

Yeah Australia is a much better example

Things have changed since then (in NASCAR anyways), but I guess F1 would like to be politicaly correct this weekend because of the majority of those people who are idiots in this country.
HRT for sale.

I was thinking on the purchase, but they're too slow...
If each of us donate $100...

all whom names are Villeneuve, why are they always a pain in the butthole.
Prodrive, David Richards, please, buy it!
I doubt anyone will want to buy or invest in a team that has next to no chance of improving in the near future and hasn't even got a design department anymore.
They do have items of value - An entry into the F1 championship and concomitant membership of the Concord Agreement. You could buy the team, keep those, throw the rest away and use your own facilities (if you have them, like Prodrive).
Eddie wouldn't be able to do anything meaningful with it, it's a very different age and very different economy compare to 91.
It's all about the money, what is good for the fans has no role anymore. Next year also won't be broadcasted on public channel but on pay per view over here. Personally i can't affort that but who cares, as long as bernie makes a penny more he will do it.

I would not mind losing Budapest and Valencia in favour of two more US tracks though, as long as they are good tracks.

Boo hoo hoo. Next year they'll extend the contract until 2021, but to make it happen, the track needs a reconstruction and more overtaking zones. Early plans.
I knew some hungarian would protest :-)

I must say i dont see any new overtaking zones on that picture.

Are they official plans or something you drew on a random map?

I hope those early plans is something someone drew on a napkin in a coffee shop before the meeting about the real drawing of the early plans. Seriously it looks amateur, someone here could make a better mockup than that.
Of course it's not official yet (forgot to mention), that sketch was made by Gábor Wéber. There are tons of fantasy plans though, most of them are useless anyway due to the geographical characteristics of the track (ground level, woods in the middle of the track, etc). I don't think Hungary would have enough money for some serious changes, like building a long straight into the middle of the track through the woods, etc...

Have a laugh:

Why they want to standardise the old tracks into some kind of Tilke shit suiting to Red Bull and its "omg long straights, dumb hairpins and fast sweepers where blown diffuser works"? These sketches Roland gave look like track map given for 5yo with a crayon.

If I was hungarian I'd just lie down across the road or smth greenidiots do for "don't eat steak" things
Because the current configuration makes overtaking possible mostly on the main straight. Bernie wants more overtakes. I was watching the race live this year and it was quite boring, some more overtaking zones would be cool.
I used to draw better tracks on paper, when i was a little kid.
