Quote from DarkKostas :Probably you have something wrong in the PLP packet. Do some debugging and you will find out.

I think you are right, I rebuild the thing (can't get to my code :/ ) and now it doesn't disconnect when entering/leaving pits...

Both are using InSimDotNet library.

I'm going to debug later on, thanks
Insim connection closed when entering pits

Hello,

I'm using the InSim.net library to connect to LFS through InSim, all going well

But... When I enter pits ingame, the connection closes by LFS Any clue why?

Is there a special setting to prevent that?

Quote from Neilser :Eh, does that actually make any difference?

Well, with the inline engines (afaik the XFG/XRG/FMB are all equipped with this type of engine), you're limited to a maximum of 8 cylinders. Get over that point and your LFS will stutter big time. Flat and V-type engines don't have that limit

Quote from shaun463 :Patrick, to make yours stand out, try and find the cylinder type value .

You mean the one that shapes the engine to inline, flat or V? Already found that one (no I'm not kidding, will post proof within 24 hours on my website since there is no youtube support here)

There still isn't a good LFSTweak at the moment?

Well then, I'm going to build myself one. Just need to figure out the license protection... :/

The comparison is made on stringcompare, not integercompare

edit: the solutions:

Line 63: rsort ($stringa);
should be
Line 63: rsort ($stringa, SORT_NUMERIC);

Quote from DragonCommando :Also, the Mitsubishi starion (which the XRG/XRT is based on) only had single channel anti-lock on the rear wheels.

I find it odd they would put it only on the rears, but thats what all my sources say.

Well, try to lock your rear wheels without locking your front wheels

I can't seem to get slicktyre to work, when do you need to run it? while LFS is running? I'm running vista home premium x86 sp1 btw

Yeah so he's demo-ing for one year? I've been demo-ing for like 2 years or so... like who cares?

--- edit ---

I personally can't stand that people feel irritated by someone that did not bought the product and enjoy it (with more locked items).

For all those demo-user bashers, get a grip on your life and spend your time on driving or something else, rather than posting a message no one cares about

Quote from mcintyrej :Whats up with it? I thought you said you had tested it and it was working. Keep going though, you'll make a lot of people happy!

Yeah, at my and cousin's place, the demo check works perfectly. But Bob said it didn't so I believe him.

Quote from Tomba(FIN) :btw, will i be able to change tires and tire sizes?

Not at the moment because I'm fishing for the S1/S2 cars

UPDATE: Bob didn't approve my LFS version because the licensecheck isn't working (properly) ....

Quote from scoobyrbac :Sweet, how many cars are there? Just the 3 or all of them?

At the moment just 3, XRG, XFG, FMB.

But when I have more, I'll release them too

I have send Bob a PM for his approval, so I can release it

If I receive a message with approval, you will see a new topic in unofficial add-ons

I have managed to make a LFS Demo user check afaik

My nephew has no license and he cannot use my application as expected, even I with a fresh LFS copy. With the S2 licensed version it _does_ work

I'm just curious about Bob what he has to say

Everybody has money, even I, just bought it yesterday.

CRUISING IS FUN

Quote from the_angry_angel :The same method you use to make the tweaks work should be sufficient. It's just a case of reading, not overwriting.

And there is the problem, I have only one option: Demo user. So I need to find out what the other two are, to get the licensecheck working.

Quote from Stefani24 :Yep, cruising /w auto is sweet, but what do you know bout crusing?

Hi all

I'm busy figuring out all the memory addresses for LFSTweak, but I have one problem, and it's a big one for releasing it...

The license protection system...

As you can see, I am a demoracer, and just have 1 variable, that I am a demoracer. How can I figure out what kind of license is in use?

It would make many people happy afaik

Thanks in advance,

Patrick

edit: It is in VB6

edit 2: Because I am having many views and no replies, here's some proof:

Quote from Woz :It would be a waste of dev time to implement.

It would take Scawen a while to implement properly and as soon as it was in the sim people would soon realise that a slush box is slower to accelerate, slower top speed, impossible to balance worse on fuel.
Agree, but more competitive racing
Look at ANY car specs out there and compare acceleration, top speed and fuel consumption between exactly the same model but only the gearbox changed. The auto in the BWM Mini for example adds 1 second to 0-60, does 25mpg instead of 30+ and has slower top speed.
So what :P
Now factor in the weight penalty you carry for the gearbox and extra fuel you need to cover the same distance and you soon realise its as useful as a chocolate teapot.
Again, it's about the competition, more leveled
If you dont want to change gear then let the computer do it for you. The only place it might be "cool" (sick) is cruise servers and I doubt Scawen will implement to cater to those servers lol
True, cruising with automatic is sweet

My shy opinion :P

I'm in for this idea, because the kickdown is a real nice feature and not everyone likes to shift.

You just have to work around the clutch temperature to get this thing done, but I really hope the devvers will make it

Quote from SamH :Bob, I've been thinking along the same lines. I don't think these memory addresses should be posted and I'd rather they were edited off the forum. I'm not familiar enough with what's what in memory, though, so I think you should be the one to do it. If anyone has an issue with you removing them, point them at me. I'll explain

Yes I do!
Nah, I really understand this matter. As I'm even memory-editing myself (for the first time, seeking up some values, pretty funny). Thanks to this I even found a 'cheat' which I can use online.

I'll pm you about this...
LFSTweak website

I had a site running for LFSTweak (http://lfstweak.gotdns.com/lfstweak AFAIK) but it has been taken down for some reasons.

First of all, it didn't get visited often (more like a 10 views per 3 days or so I guess). Second, LFSTweak isn't up-to-date, and last, I don't have a steering wheel anymore (Have a G25 in order, but is waiting for delivery).

But if you guys are in for a brandnew LFS-tweaks website, I could try to get one running again (including upload script yes )
