Just downloaded the 2.1, but it just keeps crashing.. Constantly! :S
Haven't bothered reading the whole thread though, so I might have missed some fixes? :P

I'm just going to comment on the thread.. :P
I agree with you, to the extent that I want tires that can go on and on and on..
The rest of the game, including the clutch is working fine for me atm, but I HATE that after a couple of laps of "drifting" I'm forced to go pitting or return to garage before I can have fun again.

I'm most likely driving with a crappy setup (as good as default race), but as I drive mouse I find it more fun to drift than race, as on/off throttle isn't working out for me when racing.. Half a lap with decent tail-happy action and the tires become too slippery!
I don't know if it's the rapid temperature-rise or wear, but I do feel something is off...

I do hope this excessive tirewear will be fixed before the tweak is released though!
I can't imagine how fast the tires would be gone with a 1000hp 3.8 straight six!

That's where the tweaking bit comes in. It's not that hard making a car act similar to the original. I wasn't talking about just the body...

There are plenty of databases online that have specs, perhaps not detailed enough, but talking to a few owners could solve that problem. And, I mentioned "gatebil". I don't know you've heard of it, but it's all kinds of "classes" going at it... You should check it out!

Well, I beg to differ! :P As people are different, they feel joy over different things, some like pure racing and others like just the driving experience and playing around with the car...

They continue to evolve LFS as a pure racing sim. And they branch off, and produce the most insane streetracing-game ever, making it possible to do things the way you can in other games.
Like letting the artists of the community make car-models to be added to the game, same with wheels. Getting more serious with the LFStweak-side of the game perhaps, so we can have "gatebil" kind of racing or "racing"! :P
Diversity is what i feel is lacking, so even though there are several cars to race, I find only a couple of them fun!
I know adding more bodies (of actual cars) to the game requires licenses and such, but having them as addons, wouldn't that get rid of the license problem? Having the community together with the "management" decide what cars should be added, could prevent the mess of to many different ones being added...?
I'm just blurting out what's on my mind here, please don't flame.. :P

Hehe! Sure, an R32 would be nice as well. But rear wheel drive is far more fun in my opinion!
I know it's been suggested MANY times before, but that's just because it's a great car!
How much would you have to modify if you should try making it work for V? Or is it too much hassle?
