Quote from BreadC :blue deuce is no more?!?!?!?

Brad K. is driving the blue deuce next year.

Apparently a friend of mine walked into a bar one time and just ordered a "blue deuce" and she ended up getting a Blue Moon instead of Miller Lite hahaha.

I think Kurt Busch's new car is real nice looking, the new Dodge nose in general looks good.

Quote from DeKo :Crommi, I think for the rookie series it's worked out differently, for example, my stats are 20 starts, 5 wins and 10 top 5 finishes with 4 pole positions, which gives me 73 Championship Points. Then there are people with 3 starts, 0 wins, 2 top 5 finishes and 0 pole positions with 147 points, doesn't seem right to me.

Nah what Crommi said is right, if those guys with 3 starts were in higher SOF races, then they're going to be awarded more points. Basically you just need to keep racing to get your iRating up so you get moved into the high points races.

Quote from BenjiMC :well ye like i said, if anyone needs i have 2 invites.

If you still have one, I'd really appreciate an invite. I've been trying to get on there for a while so I can watch more F1 and the V8 supercars.

70 days is nothing until the start of the season, can't believe how short their off season is. We're considering making the drive from NY down to Daytona this February for the 500, really comes down to whether or not my brother can take off of work, but I'm completely ready to go if the opportunity is there. Will probably do both Poconos again and will definitely be at the Glen, need to find one more race to go to so I can match five races like last year haha.

Nothing, they just reworked the front bumper so there is no need for the braces, its more like the Nationwide COT now.

I really don't think that's what happened, from the overhead view, I see the Biff move left into Denny, and he even said on his radio he was moving over to "give room" to whoever was on his outside.

I love how there's already less than 3 months until the season starts up again.

3 days later and I still don't want to go read news stories about this past Nascar season, too depressing. It was Denny's championship to lose, and that's exactly what he did. I'm going to have to have a ceremony to burn my Greg Biffle t-shirts in the off season.

And Denny puts it solidly in the back of the pack...

I swear to god if he blows this.

I'm interested to see what happens in qualifying, Johnson was 3rd in practice while Hamlin and Harvick were 30th and 31st.

Quote from PMD9409 :Bump for the temporarily blind.

Random question, wasn't a Ford GT in the works the same time as the mustang?

Well it all comes down to who beats who this weekend pretty much. I don't think Harvick is a huge threat to win as Denny and Jimmie would both have to have problems and I just don't see that happening. I think they'll both be fast and I wouldn't be surprised to see them battling in the top 5 late in the race, really excited for the race on Sunday.

Quote from speedway :Actually I'm glad to live in a civilised world where someone's life is still alot more valuable than the PS3 he's trying steal.

I would like to live in a civilized world where people don't break into my house and steal stuff.

Quote from SidiousX :In most states, we have a "Castle Law", or "stand your ground" law. Which means, our home is our "castle" and we have a right to defend it(lethally even). It basically states that if your home is intruded, you aren't legally required to retreat, like in other places. You are allowed to stand your ground and fight to protect your home. Some states, this law only applies in your property, in others, it's in effect in public as well.

Unfortunately here in NY I don't think that's how it works, they have to actually try to attack you before you're allowed to defending anything. So someone could break into your home and steal your stuff then sue you if you try to stop them as long as they didn't threaten you.

I still have two shotguns right next to my desk though. Mostly for target shooting, but I wouldn't hesitate to use them to defend myself.

Didn't hear about this on TV at all, apparently Sam Hornish's brakes exploded after the race and ended up in one of the suites.

It was actually a really good race today, think it was because of the transition from day to night and cars were getting better and worse as the track changed. Kyle flipping off the officials was awesome as was the Gordon/Burton incident. Kenseth was getting racy at the end which you don't see all that often. Will be interesting to see how Jimmy's crew recovers next week, kind of feel bad for the right front tire guy, doubt he'll still be on the team come Pheonix.

Can't remember the last time I was this excited going into the last 2 races, who knows how this will play out.

Quote from PMD9409 :Next race Phoenix, last 3 finishes there:
[Spring 2009/Fall 2009/Spring 2010/Avg Finish]
Denny: 6th/3rd/30th/13th
Jimmie: 4th/1st/3rd/3rd
Harvick: 30th/24th/13th/22nd

And don't forget Denny's 30th was the first race back from his surgery, doubt he'll repeat that again next week. Jimmie will certainly be tough to beat though.

Quote from mcintyrej :I don't care though, the racing up until that was insane, I'm in love!

You should try doing some official plate races then. They still turn into a mess at some point, but I imagine they're at least a little bit cleaner than the fun races. Plus yellow flags after a wreck bunches the field back up.

My only A class win came at Talladega last year, won by something like .005 running the outside line the last 15 or so laps. It was a blast and I'll always remember Rick Savage was the dude pushing me the whole way.
